Hotels near Northfield Cafe in Kathmandu

I am on the tail end of an 18-night stay at the Lakhey Hotel in Kathmandu, and I can honestly say that it has been WONDERFUL. I've gotten to know many of the staff, and they all are warm, friendly, and gracious. The hotel has only been open for a couple of months, and it is spotlessly clean, kept that way in part by one of the hardest working housekeepers, Sumitra, that I have ever seen. The staff head, Rajesh, and his assistants, Raj Kumar and Ram, who also multitask with cooking, greet me every morning with a warm welcoming. They all will make you feel like you are part of their family. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, off a busy street, and conveniently located near the touristy Thamel area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, rather upscale, but very economical. The hotel does not have a restaurant but provides a GREAT breakfast that is way beyond what they call a ”continental breakfast” that one would get in America. Freshly cooked to each guest, it includes eggs however you like them (I loved the omelet!), freshly cut fruit, veggies, potatoes, toast with butter & jam, juice, & coffee or tea. And there is a restaurant right next door for other meals. I had never stayed at the Lakhey Hotel before, but I can highly recommend it, and I will surely return in the future. Overall good hotel, place is not the noiziest in Thamel,.but for this price you get very nice place to stay it. Around lots of shops and infrastructure (yoga, spa, etc). Good if you need a place for a couple of days. If longer Id prefer not to stay in Thamel. You can ask to clean, take out trash and change beds.

The room is nice and clean, very close to Tamil Street, convenient for travel. Originally, he was going to bring the children, but unfortunately the eldest son didn't do his homework well, so his father got angry and canceled his trip. It became my own travel, enjoying this big room alone. Sitting on the small balcony in the living room in the morning, watching pigeons and crows, and listening to the sound of chanting became my pleasant time in the morning. Breakfast is on the roof, the little chef is very kind, smiling every day, the boy in the white chef's clothes has been to the Great Wall of Beijing, and he hopes to go to China again. The brothers and sisters at the front desk on the first floor and the uncle are very nice and try their best to help me solve the problem. The owner, David, is a handsome young man who is working hard to learn Chinese. If you come to Nepal for the first time, you can find Xiaolong from the shop owner. He is a young man who can speak Chinese in Nepal. He arranges my itinerary in Nepal. He is a very good and responsible young man. I have played in Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara. I am very satisfied. . But it should be noted that Xiaolong is only used as a contact person for tourists in Nepal, and is only responsible for contact, ticket purchase and other matters. There are no restrictions on the behavior of other people in the itinerary. Semi-independent travelers need to have a certain ability to solve problems by themselves, which must be clarified. It cannot be compared with the domestic tourism system, but the basically agreed itinerary can definitely be completed. We stayed at Hotel Atlantic in December and had a very comfortable stay. The Location is very good because its in a more quiet place but still in Thamel. The Breakfast is also nice and freshly made. We booked a Trek with them and it was amazing. The Rooms are clean and there is hot water. Overall we had a really nice stay at the Hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is very close to the Great Stupa, a few minutes walk. The environment is very good, and the restaurant downstairs is very good. The waiters are very friendly, but the English is too complicated to communicate. Helping to call a taxi usually requires a quick reply and a good attitude. The price/performance ratio is still very high, and the sleep is very solid.

Went to their Japanese restaurant #K2SJ! for dinner, amazing food by Chef Kyohei and absolutely great service by Samden and Anil. Their Rice cake dessert and Sushi is a must try. Will recommend for sure!

Very clean hotel, the food also nice. Very good location as if you stay in the Center of the town, it gonna be very noisy start from 3am for the whole day. Here you won’t be waken by the traffic and walkable distance to those shopping area.

The hotel is newly renovated and the bedding is new and clean. The front desk staff are very good, enthusiastic and thoughtful. Many of them have been trained in Sanya resort hotels and can speak some Mandarin. The restaurant on the first floor even helped us make instant noodles for free🍜 Recommended, will stay here again next time There is a SPA in the hotel, and guests can get 15% off. The technique is very good, but there are only three essential oils to choose from: lavender, ylang ylang and eucalyptus.

it's recommended! The breakfast is delicious, the staff is kind, and the rooms are clean. For breakfast, choose from three menus. The staff are always friendly whenever we meet them, and are extremely polite and kind. There is a restaurant in front of the hotel, and the food there is also delicious! I ate momos, dal bhat, and butter chicken curry and it was delicious. I would like to stay here again when I come to Kathmandu. thank you very much!
