Suba motel is a pocket friendly motel for thos who wish to stay overnight at Kihihi before they proceed towards Buindi impeetrable forest or the nearby Ishasha national park. The motel is not spread over a large area. It is small with eight rooms around a small courtyard. The rooms are not big. But the beds are comfortable and each room has attached washrooms with 24 hours hot water. There is no amenity like arrangement of tea/coffee in the rooms. All rooms face the courtyard , hence privacy is compromised a little. The menu is not elaborate. The people are friendly and helpful. A glass of juice cost me 5000 UGX, a bowl of fruits( 4 slices of watermelon, four slices of pineapple and one passionfruit) cost me 4000 UGX, scrambled eggs- 3000 UGX, Chicken curry and rice meal- 22000 UGX, 2 pancakes- 5000 UGX, a pot of brewed coffee- 7000 UGX. If you wish, you can ask for Mr. Elias who knows the town well and can show you around. There is a Baniyabutumbi Magic tree to be seen after a little walk through the town. Like all places in Africa, if you wish to know more about the tree, they will call an old person who will demand money just for his photograph to be taken.
