The hotel is located right in the middle of the busy area in the city centre. Everything is close by. It is also located by seaside area with full of tourist spot. The room is very clean. The staff are all friendly and the food is so good. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I would recommend everyone to try this hotel of you come to Kota Kinabalu.

Right in the middle of the city. Lots of eateries nearby. Night market and Anjung Senja seafood food court is close. Centrepoint KK is just a few minutes walk. The building is old, but the rooms are neatly renovated. Spacious room, clean bathroom, friendly staff and reception. Overall, we're satisfied and had good night's rest. The Sky Hotel is near Imago shopping mall. You can easily call a grab car to there. The staff is nice and friendly. They upgrade my room from superior king suite to bedroom suite. My family is very grateful and happy to stay here. The air conditioner is not very cold, need to wait and on for long hours. The breakfast is many choices and food is tasty.

We spent 3 nights at Gaya Island Resort and had a great time, I thought I would write a review because there are a few things worth considering before you go. Firstly, the place itself is amazing, the staff are super friendly and caring - probably the most professional I have ever experienced in my many years of travelling. So all in all it was a wonderful stay. The things worth noting are as follows: 1. The sunbeds, I think may have mentioned it and it's worth mentioning again - there are nowhere near enough. When you pay and arm and a leg to stay at a beautiful resort it is annoying that they haven't found a way to add more sunbeds. People get there early, throw on their towels and stay or disappear and the seat is gone for the day. This is a solvable issue and the resort should so something about it. 2. Check in is after 3 - could be later - and it's not flexible, so if you are arriving earlier be prepared to sit around waiting for your room. It would be nice if they could flex a little as waiting hours for a room without your bags is not a joy, but it is what it is. 3. Eating - you are on the resort, so you are eating in one of their restaurants - no other options available. There are a few restaurants so not really a problem (we did the hot pot restaurant and it was great), but good to be aware. By far the most expensive places we ate in Malaysia, but I guess given the quality of the resort it wasn't a surprise and the main restaurant is reasonable enough. 4. Activities - my wife and daughter did the cooking class and loved it, we did the night walk - which was fun and me and my son did the coral garden. The Coral garden was fun and I was lucky to see a big old shark. However there is a large amount of plastic floating on the surface of the water that is quite concerning and makes the whole place not feel so clean. The corals and fish look healthy so may be fine, but be prepared to swim through bottles and crisp bags to see the fish. The local resorts and local authorities should really work together to resolve and you pay the tourist tax, so not sure where that's going, but not to plastic clearance by the look of it. Hope that's helpful. all in all, it's a beautiful place to stay, could just do with a tweak here and there to make it even better

My recent stay at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Despite only spending 2 days and 1 night at the hotel, the level of service I experienced was truly top-notch. However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. I must make a special mention of one staff member whose name unfortunately escapes me. She mentioned that she has been a part of the hotel's team for the past 20 years, and her dedication to her work was palpable in every interaction we had with her. Her genuine friendliness, warmth, and professionalism enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider acknowledging her dedication and exceptional service with a bonus or some form of recognition. Her commitment to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests like myself deserves commendation, and such gestures would not only serve as a token of appreciation but also motivate her and other staff members to continue delivering outstanding service. Overall, my experience at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing the hotel's hospitality once again. This is the first and the last time we check in this Inn. Obviously can hear loud noise from outside from the room. Staffs voice are horrendously loud, howling laughing like no body business when it's already late at night. Played loud music until late night. Room are not sound proof, you can practically hear people conversation from outside and people walking around upstairs. Unless you can bear with all these by all means you can check in here.

Hotel is nice, clean and have good amenities. The room is clean, though not new, but all amenities are working fine. The bed is comfortable and comes with 2 pillows each. The room even has a study table. We use it as a dining table instead. The room has a unique toilet. The shower and toilet bowl is separated having a door each and next to each other. Also, the wall and door of the toilet can slide fully open exposing the sink and the doors of shower and toilet bowl. You can just slide to close everything if you want privacy. The hotel staffs are nice too and attend to your request promptly. I requested for extra pillow and they sent it within a few minutes. The breakfast was also good and delicious. They have a wide variety of dishes from local, western, Indian, Chinese. Though everyday is similar but they change certain dishes such as from fried noodle to fried kuey tiow, fried rice to nasi lemak, etc. The hotel is also close to the waterfront, eating places and walking distance to Suria Sabah shopping centre. Overall, a good hotel to stay in.

The room was clean amd neat. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming. Everything was good, the only downside is the noisy club at the upper floor. If you are a light sleeper, consider booking other places.

So far when read all the reviews, I was abit scared to book because there's also a bad reviews about this hotel & the service. Plus it's self check-in and check out. But I have faith and just book, I bring my husband and children to stay, the service was excellent. They keep on answer my question and guide me well, abit early check in. When enter the room also we were surprised because it's was so nice! The room spacious, towel, everything was there, clean, air-conditioning and everything has no problem. We really love it! Will repeat to stay here again next month for sure! Regret not to stay here for long time, this time will take a longer time 🥰 really recommend
