Awesome experience! From the beautifully-kind and friendly personalities of all of the staff ( emphasis on ALL)! I saw lions, a leopard, zebras, elephants, ostriches and other animals on safari before and after reaching the glamping site. The accommodations are clean and very nice providing basic needs including soap and lotion that’s a mosquito repellent. I felt safe and relaxed. Food is decent. But once again, the people/customer service was authentically-caring and so friendly! I really enjoyed my stay! I can’t wait to visit again! Asante Sanaa

Excellent service, clean, nice pool, animals nearby. Staff was very hospitable and professional. Very friendly Maasai night guards. Great place to stay between game drives. Very good value for money. All in all we had wonderful time! Highly recommended.

Amazing tented camp in Masai Mara. The camp is not big and i believe there were only 2 family tents in the camp. We had a family tent and it was huge - with 2 big beds. The room was well furnished, bathroom and toilet as well. All necessary bathroom supplies were available (even a mosquito repellant and washing powder!). the tent overlooked the Talek river and the noises in the night were amazing - you could hear everything - from the crickets to a hyena. Because the camp is not fenced you get a masai guard to take you to dinner and back to the tent and he was always there when i went out (did he sleep in front of the tent :) ?) Food was very good, swimming pool as well. Service was amazing - you even get a warm bottle in bed in the evening for extra warmth. From the restaurant we could see grazing giraffes. It is an amazing place and I would definitely recommend it!

Had an amazing stay here. Came with my family and I firmly believe this was the best place we could have stayed. I stayed at 4 different hotels/camps while in Africa and because of the combination of comfort and great customer service, this was the best place I stayed. The comfort, for a camp in the middle of Masai Mara, is great. The electricity is truly 24 hours and good enough for me to watch the Superbowl in the middle of the night. Massive beds. Two staff I would like to shout out are Rosaline and Sammy. Especially Rosaline, she truly made our stay special, giving me a lesson on the language each morning a new phrase. Sammy was wonderful and hard working and truly cared about giving us a good experience.

Great location, lovely camp, friendly helpful staff, brilliant drivers. We had a fantastic experience, we watched a hippo in the Talek river fromm our verhanda, the accomodation is very well appointed, the restaurant and lounge very comfortable, food is excellent and varied, the staff learnt our preferences which made us feel very special. We loved the open safari jeep, and we had a wonderful experience.

This is one of the most beautiful places. The tented luxury camp is outstanding and very well maintained. As a frequent traveler, the quality of this lodge and their staff is truly exceptional. Would highly recommend to all. The food, attention to detail and personalized service is amazing.

Wow! I booked this through a safari organizer, thinking it would be a slightly-higher-than-budget option. The accommodations and service blew me away! Absolutely the most "luxury" place I have ever stayed. The resort was beautiful; the food was great (three course meals for lunch and dinner -- I'm a vegetarian and always had multiple options to choose from); the room was lovely and shockingly clean considering it is mostly a tent; the service was laser focused on making sure I felt safe and all my needs are met (if anything, it was too much attention). I imagine the only things that might bother you would be noise at night if you're a light sleeper and being confronted with post-colonial inequality and the questionable sustainability of the safari industry. But what safari could be without either of those things? I liked that this place was (to my knowledge) 100% staffed by Maasai people, including my fantastic guide, Tom, who works directly for the resort. I could go on but this review is already very long....10/10 will recommend to everyone I know going on safari.

Not the quiet relaxing stay I was expecting! Seeing giraffes walk past at breakfast was wonderful, marred by the noise of other hotel guests (5.15 wake up as next tent was on balloon Safari and children didn’t want to wake up) and the music that came from else where until after I wanted to be asleep. Safari lunch, even after I spoke to the chef, contained allergens that could’ve resulted in the use of my epi-pens. I had expected mosquito nets at night, there were none Food was buffet rather than table service, another disappoin**ent. Maybe we were just unfortunate with the dates we stayed, but the lunch was unforgivable. Oh - and take a torch, the tents are so dark with all the lights on it’s hard to see what’s coming out of your suitcase for the day!

SHORT REVIEW: Wow wow wow what an amazing experience!!! This place is very close to perfection. I 100% encourage you to book without any reservation. I am confident that any guest who has left any sort of negative review has their own issues to work through and those issues have nothing to do with Tipilikwani. I wish these negative people the best of luck in sorting through their own issues, but sadly if they couldn’t find peace at Tipilikwani I am doubtful they will find it anywhere. ————— LONG REVIEW: I’ll provide details on everything, categorized, so you can find the info you need. OVERVIEW: Wow this place was just amazing, exceeded my expectations in every way, and truly provided the experience of a lifetime. I will be forever grateful that I was able to have this experience. STAFF: I must start with the staff because they were truly some of the most wonderful people I have met in my lifetime. From the front desk to kitchen to groundskeeping to housekeeping to security to my tour guide, … every person I encountered at Tipilikwani was an absolutely wonderful gem of a human being. I was so sad to leave thinking I might never see these wonderful people again ROOM / TENT / ACCOMMODATIONS: My “tent” was immaculate. HUGE (literally bigger than my apar**ent in the US), as spotless as humanly possible (it’s a tent in the middle of the wilderness after all), and with impeccable attention to detail. Every single object in the space was selected intentionally, placed intentionally, and cared for. The bed isn’t the most comfortable but wasn’t terrible. If you’re picky about a pillow, I suggest you bring your own. Some reviews mention that the tent is not well-lit. True. But…it’s a tent in the wilderness not a movie set. The deck overlooking the river was a nice bonus. ROOM EXTRAS: Plenty of mineral water was provided in the room and replenished each day. The soaps and conditioners were wonderful, no need to bring your own.
They provide beautiful robes to lounge around in. ROOM MAINTENANCE / HOUSEKEEPING: Holy crap did the housekeeper James go above and beyond with room maintenance!!! I believe he came into the tent twice a day: in the morning to straighten up and replenish my water and then in the evening to turn a light on for me and turn down the bed. My second night was particularly cold and I returned from safari to find that James had added an extra warm blanket to my bed TIME OF YEAR: My stay was in the off season, in late November, and although I have nothing to compare it to, I felt this was a fantastic time to come. A few things to note about the timing: - (lack of) CROWDEDNESS: Given that it was the off season, the camp was (a bit eerily) empty. This could be a pro or a con. I sense that there were maybe 10 total guests on the property? My estimate for peak season (June-September, I believe) would be more like 50-80. I liked the quiet, although it was eerie at times especially when I was reading my book out in the hammock with no o
