Hotel Legasta Kyoto Higashiyama Sanjo

The location is not too far from Sanjo train station. We had purchased the JR pass before arriving in Japan. Sanjo station was not on the JR line so we had to buy tickets to use the trains from there. We walked from the hotel to various sightseeing destinations. The room was lovely and was so clean. We loved the reception ladies who were so kind and helpful. We left our bags with reception upon checking out so we could make the most of the sightseeing around the hotel. The hotel offers tea and coffee at the reception area which was really nice. The only issue we found with the room was that once all the lights were off there was a light switch in the middle of the headboard that stayed on. We only stayed here for one night but we would definitely come back despite the lighting issue (placed a pillow on top of it).

This is a nice hotel and the staff are very considerate. I am very satisfied. Regarding the location, because there is no private parking lot, I set it to 4, but it feels like if I force it. (To make the review credible. Lol) I stopped there because there was a coin-operated parking lot nearby. I want to use it again. thank you very much.

It is a small hotel in a narrow street, but it is easy to find. We like to enter the real life of the city where we travel, walking to this hotel, you can see perfectly the houses and life form of the Japanese in Kyoto, in this neighborhood. The hotel is quite new, very wooden and warm light, making it very cozy. The hotel has a bathroom with a bathroom and a small washing machine, several bathrooms and then the shower and bathroom are on the other side of the room, which are quite large. The beds are two, litter type and these with a hairdryer, don't wait for beds like those of Europe. It has a small shirt, but it does the dress. The TV is like a tablet or smaller even jarry And girls ... has a dryer!!! ;) If you give importance to the location, it's a very good choice, you're 1 minute from several bus stops and main streets.

This is a wonderful hotel with heartfelt hospitality from arrival to departure. Both the hotel and guest rooms are furnished with elegant interiors and furnishings, allowing you to enjoy a high-quality stay. The manager and other staff members are warm and considerate, and rather than staying at a hotel, I feel a sense of security as if I had just returned to my villa. The rooms are spacious, with spacious furniture and beds, and beautiful tea utensils in the tea room. There is a mini kitchen with a sink, which is nice for rinsing teaware and glasses. All drinks in the room are free. You can look at the miniature garden while having a drink on the sofa. I also liked that there was no TV in the room. The washbasin can be used comfortably with a double sink. There was a steam iron in the closet, which was useful for removing wrinkles from the clothes I took out of my suitcase. There is an open-air bath on the upper floor, which can be rented out. The next day's check-out time is 12:00, so I was able to enjoy the open-air bath in the morning, and it felt great. Recommended for villas in Kyoto.

To first write the negative. there was no one at the front desk, until 3pm. And the people speak very little english. But the room was absolutely excellent for the price. Quite large and traditional/beautiful.

There were Doma, steep stairs and edges in Machiya for more than 100 years and enjoyed the atmosphere of Machiya. I stayed in the coal bamboo on the first floor. It was a room with a toilet washbasin. The best feature of this room is that there is a door that can go out without passing through the front desk. (2 photos) It was like an entrance and exit for an old clerk in Kyoto, and I was tense. The first floor can hear the sound of people walking or the voice of people talking at the front desk. So I think it's a little hard for those who care about the sound. There was an earplug for such a person. When I stayed, it seemed that I was walking carefully on the second floor, and I was not surprised by the sound. I was really happy to feel like living with someone and living in this town shop. The staff politely explained the attention and facilities in the facility. The delicious bakery also taught me. There was only a shower, so the staff introduced me to the nearby public bath. The shampoo set for going to public bath was at the front desk. It is in a quiet shopping street, so you can't get wet a lot in the rain. If you walk a little, there is a station and you can walk to Sanjo, so the location is good. It was a nice hotel that can taste the atmosphere of Machiya! I want to stay again.
