AAmariel-aroundtheworldI had such a lovely stay at this hostel and I truly recommend it! Even though I only stayed for one night, my experience was amazing and I would absolutely come back on future trips. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen is 100% cotton, which I really appreciated — it makes such a difference for a good night’s sleep. The bathrooms are very clean and warm, which is especially nice after a long day out. I stayed in an 8-bed room and everything was very well organized. The whole building is beautifully decorated and has a really nice, welcoming energy. You can feel that care has been put into the space. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. There’s also a garden and a terrace where you can enjoy coffee, tea, and water with free access. The kitchen offers free pasta, some vegetables, and other food options available for guests. I didn’t personally use this service, but it’s such a thoughtful touch to have it as an option. It’s also a great place to connect with other solo travelers. They organize events like karaoke and comedy nights, which create a really fun and social atmosphere. Overall, 10 out of 10. Highly recommended!

DDavide DNice cozy place just behind the train station, but thanks to being uphill it's very quiet at night, there is no dusturbance whatsoever. Very clean too, with a little kitchen for a moment with coffee or self-made breakfast. Easily reachable by walk, but if you travel with heavy luggage you may prefer a taxi ride. The hosts are very nice and went above and beyond preparing the room for me way ahead of the check-in time to accomodate special needs I had. Self check-in and out available, flawless communication with the host and clear instructions on how to reach the place. Highly recommended! High value to price ratio

GGuest UserOne of the best experiences we had with our twice annual travel destinations.  The RentComo location was in the heart of the city, nestled in one of the quaint shopping streets, and walking distance to all the typical tourist stops.  Very nice going back to the apartment each evening, opening the windows and listening to the tourists and locals finishing their shopping or going for dinner.  Very nice apartment with all the comforts; so much more relaxing than the standard hotel room stay.

WWalter Zhou-zhouyipingAfter leaving Paris for Italy 🇮🇹, we landed and were picked up and driven to Lake Como. I had pre-booked this lakeside hotel, which boasts an excellent location. We opted for a lake-view room, and indeed, you can enjoy the beautiful lake scenery right from the balcony. It would be lovely to sip coffee or a drink on the balcony in the summer while admiring the view. While the hotel room furnishings are a bit dated, they are immaculately clean. There's a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, and conveniently, a Carrefour, a food court, and a DM supermarket are just a short walk behind the hotel. We spent some time exploring the small town, had lunch by the lake, and enjoyed a cup of coffee. If you're with a group, you could even rent a small yacht and take a tour around Lake Como to soak in the lake views and surrounding scenery.

Everything feels new, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The room was a highlight — spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. All the basic amenities were well provided, making the stay easy and relaxing. One of the best parts is the rooftop swimming pool — stunning views, great atmosphere, and perfect for photos, especially around sunset 🌅 👉 One downside to note: The location is a bit far from Como city center. * There is a bus stop near the hotel, but buses can be unreliable and not always on time * Walking to the center is about 1–2 km, doable but not ideal (especially with kids or elderly travelers) 💡 Overall: Perfect for a relaxing stay in a beautiful, design-focused hotel. Best if you’re planning to use taxis or have a car, rather than relying on public transportation.

GGuest UserI had an amazing experience during my stay at Hotel Metropol Suisse-Como.The central location with stunning lake views made the visit even more special. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, and the standard of cleanliness was outstanding. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly caring and polite. The bar staff were always friendly and attentive, and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed that the team even remembered exactly how I like my coffee — such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest. I was travelling with my mum, who has mobility difficulties, and the staff went above and beyond for her. They were always ready to help, often running to open the doors for her without us even asking. Their kindness really meant a lot to us. A special mention goes to Elvira, who was wonderfully attentive and polite during breakfast every morning. She always asked about our experience and made sure we had everything we needed. The reception staff were also outstanding, regularly checking if there was anything more they could do to make our stay even better. The food in the restaurant was superb, and it was lovely to see the owner present and engaging with guests to make sure everyone was happy. Overall, it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. I cannot praise the hotel enough and will definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommended!

SSandy PoohThe location itself is convenient, but unfortunately the overall experience didn’t match the price point. At check‑in, the staff was friendly and warm — and that was honestly the best part of the stay. The property is more like an Airbnb with no reception. The staff provided us basic information through WhatsApp. Although the name hotel is misleading and the Airbnb type style is not what we expected, the arrangement works fine with us. The room felt dated and didn’t give the impression of being properly clean. Even small details, like the towels, were disappointing; they didn’t seem fully dry and the quality was lacking. Breakfast was another letdown. We weren’t aware beforehand that it wasn’t served on‑site but instead at a café about a four‑minute walk away. While this might be fine on a sunny morning, during our stay it was raining in Como, and having to go outside just to get breakfast was far from ideal. Overall, Convo Lake Como feels overpriced for what it offers. Between the dated rooms, lack of on‑site breakfast, and underwhelming amenities, I believe there are better choices in the area that provide more comfort and value for the same or even lower cost.
