"The hotel has a retro vibe. The first time I checked in, I actually thought it was an old, historic hotel because the room decor, furniture, and overall layout had a distinct Japanese style from a bygone era. I later learned that the building was actually torn down and rebuilt, and the current structure is new, but its design intentionally carries on the original classic style. This allows it to retain a nostalgic atmosphere without feeling overly old-fashioned. The room itself was relatively clean, and you could indeed feel the strong retro Japanese character, which was quite distinctive. However, the service experience was rather average. When I asked the front desk for bottled water during my stay, it wasn't provided. There's room for improvement in terms of proactive service and attention to detail. Furthermore, the room I was assigned wasn't in an ideal location, which somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Overall, the hotel's biggest draw is its retro architecture and decor style; those who appreciate this kind of atmosphere might really like it. But considering other hotels in Kobe at a similar price point, both the service and the overall value for money are, in my opinion, just average and don't quite meet the standards one would expect for the price."

"The location is great, just a 7 to 10-minute walk from Sannomiya in the city center. Breakfast at Matsuya next door to the hotel offered four good options. Most importantly, the price was very reasonable, and the room size was decent for a solo traveler. Overall, it's a good accommodation choice in Kobe. Ctrip's hotel navigation was slightly off, taking me to the back entrance, but it's actually right on the main street, and the location is excellent."

"This hotel was the most satisfying of our trip. It's located right in Meriken Park, and our room was a sea view, offering beautiful scenery both day and night. At first, I thought there was nothing around the hotel except the park. However, once we got our bearings, we found that Daimaru and BAL department stores were both within a 15-minute walk. On the other side, MO SAIC and umie shopping centers were also close by, making it convenient for shopping and dining. The hotel breakfast area was spacious, and the selection was quite varied. There's also a shuttle bus to Sannomiya Station, with the timetable available in the lobby. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel."

"No bathtub for soaking, which is quite rare in Japan. There's a massage chair though, great for relaxing after a long day of walking. The room isn't big, similar in size to what you'd find in Osaka. This is a Hankyu hotel, and the location is excellent, right above the train station. It rained every day during my trip to Kobe, so all my planned excursions were cancelled. I ended up just wandering around the shopping street downstairs and eating and drinking at the hotel. The service at this hotel was the most 'Japanese' I experienced during my entire trip – incredibly polite and respectful. My only minor complaint is that they were very stingy with the facial masks and leg refreshing sheets they provided."

"The hotel is easy to find, right next to the Nanjing Ding plaque. The alleyways nearby are full of food options, which is very convenient. The front desk staff speak both English and Chinese, so communication was not an issue at all. The hot spring has long opening hours, and there's a washer and dryer available, so you can check from your room when it's free before heading down. I've stayed at Dormy Inn several times, and I personally feel that as long as the location suits your needs, you can book blindly without worrying about a bad experience."

"We booked three deluxe twin rooms for our family trip and our stay exceeded expectations. The entire hotel was spotless, the environment was peaceful and elegant, and the staff provided attentive and warm service. The in-room facilities were complete and functioned perfectly, and the rooms were spacious. Our whole family found it comfortable and satisfying. Highly recommended!"

"First off, the rooms were really clean and spacious. I booked a connecting room which was perfect for a big family; one room for the elders and one for the kids. The front desk gave us a room on the 10th floor with an ocean view. Below us were the Ocean Museum and Meriken Park, offering not just a wide-open view but also super convenient access for walking around with the kids. Secondly, there are attractions nearby like the Anpanman Children's Museum and Daimaru department store, both about 900 meters away. If it's under 30 degrees Celsius, you can easily walk there. We often took a taxi to Sannomiya, which only took about 5 minutes. Lastly, I have to praise the pool. The water was crystal clear and clean, with one large pool and a jacuzzi. Floats and armbands were available for free use, and the best part was, there was hardly anyone there! 3300 JPY per person was definitely worth it. The bakery in the lobby (I think it was called Camellia) was excellent. They restocked daily, and their bread was more authentic than most bakeries in Kobe."

"It seems to be frequented by local office workers and casual travelers. The rice balls and breakfast are also authentically Korean. There were at least two staff members who spoke Korean. However, after checking in, my card wouldn't work, so I had to go back and forth twice. The staff couldn't resolve the issue, so I gave up on Japanese and complained in English, and they finally resolved it. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the bedding had a slight odor. The public bath was decent (though still a bit stinky... avoid peak hours). And at night, the entire street is a nightlife hotspot, with many people in suits and women walking around. Ladies, please use the main road."

"This hotel pleasantly surprised me. I had initially expected it to be average due to the low price, but I was surprised by the elegant style and excellent service. The location is quiet in the heart of the city, and Kobe is not a big city, making it very convenient for getting around. Overall, I highly recommend it. The breakfast was very rich and delicious."
