TTutti.ToeteeReview: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

IIRENA_BORODINAThe hotel is quite old, but it has beautiful grounds and lush, tropical plants. The breakfasts are decent, the pools are clean, and the staff is attentive. The squirrels near the restaurant are adorable! The sea and beach are simply stunning, and there were always enough sun loungers. The plumbing in the room was fine. Now for the downsides: The sun loungers and their mattresses are very old. The bed linen also looks quite worn. The room is a bit dark, and the air conditioning blows directly onto the beds, making it impossible to sleep with it on. The dishes in the restaurant are also dated, which was unpleasant. There's also not enough lighting in the evenings, even on the hotel grounds. On my last day, it rained, and I slipped and fell on the tiles; luckily, I didn't break anything. We stayed in room A06, which had direct pool access. However, even in these rooms, which are the furthest from the bar, you can still hear noise from the neighboring bar at night. If you're a light sleeper, this might be uncomfortable. The planes weren't really an issue; they don't fly by that often. I'd like to address parents separately: unsupervised children in the pool were behaving terribly – screaming, teasing, and swearing – all right outside our rooms. Their parents paid no attention, making it impossible to relax in our room or on the terrace. Overall, though, I recommend the hotel because of its location and proximity to the sea.

GGuest UserFirst of all, I'd like to extend a huge thank you to the hotel! I honestly didn't expect to have such a great vacation in Asia! 🥹 Let's start with the staff! I have to commend their perfect work! They do everything so quietly, you barely notice their presence! But they are definitely working! Always with pleasant smiles, greetings, and ready to help! 🥹 Regarding the rooms: we stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 11 years old). We ran into some difficulties here. The family room didn't accommodate 4 people (although the room description said it would), so I had to contact Trip.com support! And you won't believe it! They reimbursed me for the difference the hotel charged for the extra bed. (In total, the hotel charged 1000 baht per day for accommodation + meals for the 7-year-old child). The room itself was very spacious, stylish, and comfortable! A huge balcony with a table and chairs! 🥹 The hotel also provides waffle bathrobes! I want to especially highlight the location! It's perfect! There's a huge night market nearby with European food! (Moms will understand), and Thai cafes are also available! The sea in this area in June is ideal. I specifically went to Chaweng to swim, but I liked it more here! There were enough sun loungers for everyone, even during peak times! The sand was cleaned! The beach was cleared of trash and the sand was raked! ❤️ Just a few more words about breakfast! I know how important this is for parents! The children could always find something to eat! A huge selection of fruits. Eggs in any form, muesli! They even made mashed potatoes (not from powder)! The only thing, as others have mentioned, is the excessive amount of chlorine in the pool! The smell was even noticeable outside. Perhaps the hotel should pay attention to this! Overall, I *highly* recommend it! I will definitely return! Oh! And the cleanliness! I was shocked! Perfectly clean!

GGuest UserGarrya Tongsai Bay Samui is one of those places that stays with you. What really makes the difference is the people. The service is excellent, but more importantly, it feels sincere. The staff are genuinely kind, always smiling, always present, and somehow they manage to make everything feel easy and natural. You never feel rushed or overlooked, just quietly taken care of. Special thanks to ”mamy” the fruit lady at breakfast that is a pure expression of joy and the Yoga and Muay Thai instructor. The facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, but without feeling stiff or overdesigned. Everything works, everything feels comfortable, and there’s a calmness to the whole place that makes you slow down almost without noticing. Rooms, pools, spa, restaurants, all of it feels thoughtfully done. The setting is something special. Surrounded by greenery and right on a peaceful bay, it feels private, quiet, and deeply connected to nature. You hear the sea, the wind in the trees, and very little else. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax. Nothing here feels forced or flashy. It’s just consistently good, warm, and balanced. A place you leave feeling better than when you arrived. Can't wait to be back to this special place.

SStephy007Another Amari disappointing stay. first was amari hua hin and 2nd is this hotel. stayed in amari koh samui for 4nights, we just got back from koh samui a few days ago. location wise sure cant deny that, it's by the beach front, 5 mins drive away from central koh samui mall and walking from the night life but so does other resorts around the area. when you get to the hotel specially after paying so much per night and to be classified as a 5 star hotel, you expect a good service, a 5 star service. Specially when the first point of contact to the customer service is the front staffs, however very disappointing. Most, if not all of the staffs doesnt seem to smile at all. We arrived early so we had lunch first and sure they managed to give us earlier check in at almost 2pm, their check in is at 3pm. we let it go perhaps we were just too tired and sensitive as we just arrived in koh samui and it was humid, however, throughout our stay their customer service was absolutely lacking. VERY LACKING. specially a few staffs driving the buggy service, we even had an accident one time when we were on our way back to the room, one of the driver drove so fast, THEY ALL DRIVE REALLY FAST, and he rammed onto one of the on coming buggy, i was holding my baby so tight. luckily nothing happened to us. same buggy driver who was had a grumpy look the entire stay and we saw him throwing luggages on to the buggy instead of handling them with care. so when you are taking a buggy, tell them to drive slow. the room, we booked a connecting room, which was a mistake. booking 2 rooms would have been cheaper but anyhow, the room was not clean at all, the bathtub was moldy the floors felt dirty and there were alot of mosquitos every single day. first day we arrived we killed 10 mosquitos in one room whats up with that. breakfast had good selections, they have 3 pools around the resorts as it is a big resort best one is the one over looking the beach, kid friendly pool. they have kids room, not that big just a small room.. anyway overall would i come back here in Amari Koh Samui, absolutely NOT. Would i recommend amari koh samui, absolutely NOT. if you want to stay in a beach front, there are alot of beach front resorts near amari and around the area check that out.. they did something nice from my baby;s birthday, decorated the mirror and gave cake so i appreciated that. with kids i would recommend hyatt koh samui, they are friendlier to kids and service is top notch. we moved there after amari THANK GOODNESS

GGuest UserDuring the Chinese New Year, hotel prices were outrageous. I unexpectedly booked this hotel, which had very few Chinese guests, and the price was very reasonable. To my surprise, the rooms were quite good, spacious, and both rooms had small balconies. The hotel environment was also nice, with two swimming pools, one by the sea and one outside the villas. The rooms were generally clean, but the air conditioning hadn't been cleaned in a long time; you could see a layer of dust in the vents. The hotel breakfast was a bit disappointing, with not much choice or variety, and no kids' meals, which wasn't very friendly for picky eaters. The hotel is within walking distance of a local restaurant with good reviews (recommended on Xiaohongshu for beautiful sunset views). Although most staff didn't speak Chinese, they were very enthusiastic. Except for one male front desk staff member wearing glasses. When checking in, I mentioned my early flight and was advised to pre-order a breakfast box the day before. However, this staff member kept trying to get me to book a car (a private van costs 700, the hotel charges 1000). I said three times that I wanted to order breakfast, but he acted as if he didn't hear me. It wasn't until I said I wasn't booking a car and just wanted breakfast that he told me to go eat at the restaurant myself! He had a disdainful attitude throughout. I've been to so many countries and so many hotels, and this is the first time I've encountered such terrible service.

GGinny_Beautiful looking hotel, quiet and relaxed but also just a short scooter ride away from Fisherman’s village. For everyone confused about the beach situation: there is a long bit of beach by the hotel. The hotel itseld doesn’t have beds on the beach itself, however, the beds are just above and around the pool area that overlooks the beach. If you wanna lay on the beach, in the morning there is high tide so you won’t be having much sand to lay on, still good for a swim. In the afternoon/evening there is low tide so you can put your towel down easily.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were genuinely impressed by the level of service throughout our visit. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is another major highlight is it is right on the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning swims and sunset strolls. The hotel itself was comfortable and well maintained, providing a relaxing base for our trip. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service in a beachside location.

AAnonymous UserTwo trees in the courtyard, 38 degrees Fahrenheit outside, and the pool water was probably not even 25 degrees Celsius – too cold to really get in. The pool has a jacuzzi button; I suggest turning it on a few times to circulate the water, otherwise, it's just full of fallen leaves and dead bugs. The view isn't a genuine sea view either, mostly just mudflats, and there were people constantly fishing, so privacy was a concern. We were extremely disappointed with the room. The famous 'Moon' restaurant no longer serves breakfast, only dinner. Breakfast is now at 'Height', which is indeed a pure sea-view restaurant. It's newly renovated and has a slight new-furniture smell, but the view is decent, though not as distinctive as 'Moon'. There are no changing rooms or restrooms by the infinity pool, only towels are provided. There's no drink service either. The pool at 'Moon' has drink service but no towels. How to put it? The facilities are excellent, but the management and service can't keep up. For instance, the infinity pool actually has a jacuzzi, but because the supporting facilities are lacking, hardly anyone uses it. If it weren't for an expat lady who had stayed there for several nights telling me about the 'surf' button, I wouldn't have known about such a great feature. Of course, there are good aspects too. Breakfast is really good. The night before, we ordered room service and, oh my, it was the worst Thai food I've ever had. So, I was surprised that the quality and variety of breakfast were actually quite impressive, comparable to a leading hotel. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to two main beaches. There's also a free happy hour at 5:30 PM, and the minibar is well-stocked. Villa guests receive a 10,000 THB credit per room per night, which can be used at restaurants, spas, etc. Overall, considering these perks and benefits, a sea-view villa at over 3,000 THB per night is still great value for money on Koh Samui. If beachfront villas were priced according to their view like at Conrad, I believe customer satisfaction would be even better.
