First of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of April 2024). The hotel is located in the ancient town, which is nice if you plan to spend a lot of time in the town itself, but slightly less so if you mostly plan to travel to other places from Lijiang (do note that cars can't enter the ancient town, so you'd have to carry your suitcase to the hotel from the entrance and do note that the rode is bumpy, so even if your suitcase has wheels, it may be challenging - there are motor carts that would take your bags, for a fee). Naturally, as the ancient town is extremely commercialized, there's no shortage of shops and restaurants, they are somewhat pricier compared to those outside. The hotel is nicely designed, but honestly, I didn't have much time to appreciate it, so again, it's up to you if you care for the design. The room was large, with all the necessary amenities, but do note that there's no heating/air conditioning, so it may be challenging in winter (though perhaps they provide heating in some form then). The staff was kind and helpful. Overall, a very good option if you want to stay in the ancient town, otherwise, I'd probably go for a hotel just outside it for the sake of convenience.

This hotel accepts foreigners. In Lijiang it was very hard to find a place with someone in the premises. This was the third place we booked and although the reception was empty we could find a lady that was cleaning the rooms and she helped us find our room. Soon after we had a younger guy asking for our passports and doing our proper check in. The location was good and in a not crowded area. The room was a good size and comfortable. It was a bit cold and they had a portable heating that worked ok. We could hear noise from outside on the corridor. They were kind to allow us to leave our heavy luggage for a few days while we went hiking and to Shangri-la. However, bags were just left at their reception for 4 days as there is no secure place where to leave them. Besides, for most part of the day there's nobody around (at reception or elsewhere in the hotel). We even tried to add them on WeChat and that was also difficult. They didn't add us straight away and it sometimes took several days to obtain an answer (we actually had to text them). Communication is too difficult (not only because of the language barrier, but there's nobody available to talk to) and 24h-reception is a joke (but that seems to be the norm around here). However, sometimes a dog appears at reception, it seems to be the only member of staff you can contact with.

Good service and friendly pick up customers at the gate, good support in sending lugguges to the gate. The master is warm-hearted and sincerity. Warm rooms.

Very easy to check in. Had a different room this time but still quality. Good traditional decorations and furniture.

Fantastic location at old town, eateries and coffee are very accessible. Self serve laundry a big plus.

My flight was delayed hence I arrived 1 day after my booking, but the owner was very helpful and still arranged someone to help picking up my luggage. First time we travel to Yunnan, hence we had so many questions and every time we asked the owner, Jin, he replied super fast. The location is also perfect as it’s in the middle of the ancient town. Strongly recommended to stay here!

This really is an amazing hotel nicely situated in the old town. The ambiance is very nice and my room was beautiful! All of that for a very good price. If you’re lucky there will be hotel staff around, but if not, give them a call. Be aware that they close the gate at night so make sure you know the password!!
