This has to be the friendliest and most helpful hotel I have ever stayed at ! They honestly cant do enough for you. The hotel has Liverpool FC theme in the bar and outside area. My husband and I contacted them to book a surprise to take our son to visit the Liverpool Stadium Tour, so the theme of the hotel was amazing for him, we watched the away Liverpool match with a few other supporters the night prior to the visit. The bar staff were so helpful and friendly. They didn't serve food, but it was no issue to have food delivered and ate in the bar during the game. From the initial contact they were fully booked, but Gill contacted me as soon as they received a cancellation and helped us every step of the way with the booking, they even offered to book the tour. The room was spacious and immaculate, the beds very comfortable - what else could you ask for? The following morning we went to the tour and we were allowed to leave the car at the hotel, so that saved us the hassle of moving and parking elsewhere. Its literally just down the road from the stadium - you can walk out the drive and you can see it! Perfect for anyone visiting or going to the game. Gill was amazing - she knew the reason for our visit and seemed to go out of her way to make it a special event - it really has help make it a memory my son wont forget - so thank you!
The Glebe Hotel

I visited the Glebe with 4 friends the room was so clean and the beds were very comfy shower was amazing there is a fridge in the room and fresh towels tea coffee and complimentary shampoo and conditioner etc. such a shame about the area it wasn’t very nice but once the door is shut who cares. Easy access into the city by bus which is just across the rd and cost £2 it’s about a 10 min bus ride. Don’t count on a taxi though as we struggled to get one. Next time I’d probably stay in the city as the taxi situation was a nightmare. But the Glebe was fantastic and I can’t complain about anything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Phoenix Hotel Liverpool

Overall, not bad value for money for the room. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Bathroom was smart. But I don’t think you could call the phoenix a hotel. It’s a pub with rooms. The black decor on the stair well is a throw back to misspent adolescent nights at forgettable night clubs just without the sticky floor. It’s quite noisy on account of the traffic from 5.30am. The Wi-Fi was nowhere near good enough. It kept cutting out. The staff were a bit off hand really to be honest. When I arrived I went to the “reception” which looks like a tiny workstation. I waited but the member of staff at the workstation ignored me so I went away thinking May be it really was a workstation and not a member of staff who is meant to be checking me in. The breakfast was shockingly bad. Stale white bread, undrinkable coffee on offer. However, such a lovely man served us. We weren’t sure whether he worked at the phoenix or was a customer. It was a little chaotic so hard to tell. I’ve noted the reviews re the £150 deposit. To be fair we did not have an issue with this. It’s a shame this has to be applied really. It’s uncomfortable for everyone. In summary, not a place to return to in a hurry. Sorry not to be able to be more positive.

I booked a hostel to travel to Liverpool! I saw the game well The location of the hostel is very close to the stadium, so it's good to walk. There's no dryer.
