The photos give an impression which is not delivered. Pros: +The location is good. About 10 mins walk from a couple of different tube stations. +The bed was very comfy +Air con was a blessing in the hot weather Cons: -The breakfast was disappointing, compared to the promotional photos which showed a full spread along the bar, multiple juices to choose from, and big juicy looking apples. What we got was fine, but just a let down from the photos. -The dust. The rooms had dust everywhere. The hallway was dusty, and there was painting going out while we were there. -Compliment toiletries consisted of one shower gel. -Toilets are heavily stained. -This is not a “5 minute walk to Marble Arch”. It is at least 10, and even google says 12.

Absolutely great value for money. Had a great stay here. The hostel is clean and very central. Literally 5 steps away from the tube station that gives access to the main London attractions in less than 10min. The check in is at the Pub downstairs, which is also the entrance to the hostel. Staff is great and always willing to help. Toilets were clean and never had a problem there (bring your own towel or pay 5£ for one, and you can keep it after). Food at the pub is good and the breakfast is simple but effective. Booking directly has big advantages (I booked 2 nights through booking and another directly with them - it’s cheaper, includes late checkout, pub discounts and 20% off in the next visit). The pub is open 24/7 for guests only, and there is no loud music or people screaming in late hours - so you don’t get bothered at all if sleeping at the hostel, and you can always go down for a beer if you feel thirsty. Free luggage room to leave your bags before/after checking in/out. Will definitely go back here when visiting London again. Thanks guys !

The Churchill continues to be my first choice in London, since 2008. They have an incredibly trained staff, which are always looking to attend to what we need. It is a place you can always trust on every single issue you may have. I must say Mr Cesary, one of the concierges, is a fantastic person, a true concierge that gives you all the tips, takes care of all the details in every single request. There is TV (pairing devices) issue; which couldn’t make it work with my iPhone. I let them know, they are aware, they tried their best, but it seems like they must have to replace its system, to manage this issue; every other hotel I stayed, I could pair my device easily so it is just something the hotel should adjust. They don’t loose at all their brilliant service because of it, as a frequent guest of them, I wish this could be heard as an advice. And I’ll continue staying with them.
