Hostal Petite Maman

Very good value for money, everything super clean and unbeatable location. A stone's throw from Puerta del Sol and several Metro stops. Super comfortable beds and pillows, there is an elevator. A place to stay if you are in Madrid for a few days.

We booked a quad room and both the room, the beds, and the water pressure in the shower were great. It is super central and everything has been renovated. They keep your bags for you if you arrive early and if you want to leave them in the cout they are €5 per room. 100% recommendable.

The facilities do not match the photos, which I imagine are from when they renovated it. It needs an urgent coat of paint (the door frames are eaten away by humidity). There are not enough plugs. If you want to charge the mobile, you have to unplug the lamp. The fridge makes noise and is inside the closet but plugged into a power ***** that is outside on the floor. The split of the air conditioning does not work and you have to ask them each day expressly to put the heating on, when we were on the street we were at a degree. In the bathroom there is not enough space to hang all the towels and the flow of water in the shower and sink is insufficient and it takes a long time for hot water to arrive. The hair dryer is connected directly to the socket with bare wires and the sink moves. There is nowhere to leave the suitcase, unless you do it on the desk. At night noises are heard in the inner courtyard.

Very bad experience, we went for 4 nights (a very bad decision), the shower is hot only for one person, if there are two, the second must shower **** with cold water (this happened to us every day) The walls are very thin for what you keep awake at night due to the noise of the other guests

Great location of the accommodation, which is right in the center. It's a great and nice place to stay with comfortable beds. The room was clean and we received a very friendly welcome. Everything was wonderful, we'd love to come back :)

We stayed at Hostal Atelier for two nights in April 2017. A bit hard to find, really look for it or you'll miss it, it's between the shop and the entrance, it looks like an apartment complex. The staff were very nice and gave us lots of advice on arrival. A bit far from Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor, but closer to Plaza Santa Ana and the "Triangle of Arts". The room was clean and had a safe, fridge and coffee maker. The bed was a bit small (only one full size bed), we were expecting a queen size bed but it was booked by a couple. We used the laundry service and were very happy, really cheap. We will come again.
