We had a lovely short stay at Ikonik Gran Via hotel. They have super comfy beds & pillows, heating/air conditioning works really well, cleanliness was top notch and the rooms are recently renovated. Location is perfect, in general great value for money. Maybe something which can be improved is that the windows in the toilet are not well made, so it is very cold in there during winter (unless you keep the doors open)

Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the hotel, so this is a review of the customer services. We were due to stay here at the end of November, but on the day we were due to travel, my son was rushed into hospital for an emergency operation. This meant we had to cancel our stay. Our airline were willing to allow us to rebook our flights at a later date but when I contacted the hotel with evidence of our hospital stay they stated that we would have to pay the full amount as we had given less than 48 hours notice. To add insult to injury, they have now put the payment through twice in error leaving me almost £800 out of pocket. They have said they will refund the duplicate charge but I am waiting for this and hoping I can claim the rest back on insurance.

Not a bad hotel but you have to call reception to turn the AC on and if you open a window it turns off. Ac isn't that strong. Room got really stuffy within minutes. Sheets are horribleand the pillows are worse. No water

We had a fabulous few days in this hotel. I had booked it as a surprise for my husband's birthday and the room was very kindly decorated for the occasion, he even got some special birthday brownies!! The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of all the major attractions. We did not need any taxis during our stay, we did lots of walking and sightseeing and of course enjoyed plenty of tapas and drinks in nearby restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed views of Gran Via in the breakfast room. The hotel was very clean and the room was nice and quiet. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Ikonik Gran Via if looking for a centrally located hotel in Madrid.
