South Palm Resort Maldives

Everything was amazing This our third time to visit Maldives and best one of them

The rooms were very nice and the room attendants were very detailed and aimed to please. The over water villas had great snorkeling right off your room. And we got to stay in the beach from villas as well where there was also a a sea turtle that fed daily right out front. We did the all inclusive package that included the free snorkeling package. It was great having access to the snorkeling gear. The free snorkeling trip was perfect amount of time. The kayaks were great but for a resort that was so new most of the free equipment was not operational and/or was in very rough shape. The food…where to begin? There was a lot of variety however the quality was not very good and we left hungry most meals because the food was awful. I would strongly suggest upgrading to the seafood meals each evening. Those meals were incredible and inexpensive. The dining room as you will read in many reviews it is hot. Hot it was. You will sweat and it will be hard to eat because it is so warm that you just want to get out of the heat. If your are in the back area like we were there is no breeze at all. Like I said we upgraded to the all inclusive so beverages were included. It is very limited and the drinks are watered down. For example the Southern Comfort is clear. You are not allowed to leave the designated are with a drink. There are so many drinking rules and limitation. It is beyond frustrating. We saw employees be reprimanded all the time. Lastly, we went on a shark excursion to swim with the sharks. They go out to feed them multiple times a day regardless if there is a tour or not. We got out there and they told us the water wasn’t clear enough. We could see down super far. We feel like it was misleading. Maybe not? We will never know. It was still a cool experience going out watching them feed the sharks but before we went out there they gave us 15 minutes talk about not being able to snorkel with them if the water wasn’t clear enough. We would love to know if past vacationers got to snorkel with the sharks. For travels that have been to several all inclusive resorts this was our worst experience. I give it a 2 because we flew 24 hours and it was my first experience over the water. I loved the snorkeling right outside of our place.

It was the best experience we have had so far on a resort. It was beautiful and the service was amazing. Santosh took care of us very well and made sure all of our needs were met. The resort had daily activities, which kept us very excited. Will definitely book again with this resort in the future

Our stay was wonderfull, heavenly landscape, top activities, good foods and beverages; a perfect honeymoon to resume. The most important thing to notify is the kindness of employees, special mention to Sibi our Vila manager who was always present to satisfy our needs, Salman our dedicated waiter who was very helpful and very kind, the wok cooker with best plates, Bandare our kind driver and Khairul our room-boy who was very efficient and very kind. With the all inclusive options, no stress : a good restaurant with unlimited cocktails and food, a bar with unlimited cocktails all the day, everything was there to let you zen. The only convenient (which is not related to the ressort) is maybe the small airport at GAN that deserves this resort, there are only three flights per day to Male (the capital). We had to leave our ressort at 2 am to be able to take the flight of Male at 3:30 pm, so we had to wait 8 hours in Male before taking our flight.

We stayed 1 nigths in beach Villa. And this is our second time here. Front desk and restaurant , bar services are excellent. The staff is so nice and welcoming always Specially from restaurant kitchen team are very helpful and jinbin and Didi was very helpful. Thank you so much for everyone. Island is beautiful with palm trees, birds... weather was amazing! We will come back again!..

i was there with my wife in April 2024 and we had a marvelous time. we had a beach villa with direct access to the beach. the villa has all you need and is in a good condition. All of the people working there are super nice and friendly. since some of the people told me that they get rated based on being mentioned in reviews, i want to mention some of the people i found outstandingly nice: - the entire bar team - the chefs Shamsundin and Anish - Momin from the housekeeping team

We have just returned from 12 nights at South Palms and it was everything and more that we hoped it would be. We stayed in a beach villas which was a few steps from the sea, every morning was like waking up in paradise. The food was delicious with a great choice of Asian dishes cooked freshly in front of you, the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff cannot do enough for you and I would recommend a visit to anyone wanting a quite peaceful, beautiful holiday

This place is absolutely stunning we had the most amazing time here!! It does take a really long time to get here (from UK) but it is soooo worth it once you are here! We had a beach bungalow and it was stunning, really clean bed was comfortable the outdoor shower was bliss and to wake up and walk straight onto the beach in the morning was what dreams are made of! The staff work so hard here and they are all lovely I would say by far the best staff I have ever come across Jibin our waiter was the nicest guy ever couldn't do enough for you and always had a smile on his face! Our cleaner momin was brilliant again really nice guy and couldn't do enough for you and could trust 100%! The bar staff are great and really welcoming and also cant do enough for you, as well as the cooks who make the most delicious meals! The food is great and there is so much choice you could never go hungry here! I went to the spa twice because it was that good so peaceful the trea**ents are amazing as well as the girls who work there! My partner did a scuba diving trip with photos & videos and it was spectacular and he couldn't recommend it enough! We also paid for the private dinner on the beach and honestly it was the best experience of my life definitely recommend if your here! We did snorkeling everyday and saw loads of different fishes, we swam with a turtle and even had the pleasure of swimming with a sting ray! If you are after a relaxing paradise this is the place for you! Thank you so much to all the staff for making this a holiday of dreams for us we can't wait to return in the future!
