Club Aquarium

Me and my husband stayed here for two weeks. The hotel grounds are beautiful, stunning views and plenty of sun beds around both pools. The apar**ents are rather dated but they are due to be refurbished later this year. We arrived after midnight but Scooby and Mimi ( hope I’ve spelt them right) were so helpful with Mimi even walking us down to the local supermarket which is open until 2am for a few essentials. The owner of the shop,Ahmed, is a real character and a lovely man. The cleaners come in daily, towels are changed every day and the beds are changed every 3 days. Zelife our cleaner was lovely. We had a couple of issues with appliances in the apar**ent but these were dealt with immediately We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. They don’t take cash but they give you a card to top up to use and anything left on it at the end of your stay, they give you back. There is another supermarket through a cut at the side of the hotel. It’s a short walk and there is also Tommys restaurant there. The bus to Marmaris via Icmeler centre stops outside of Tommys and it’s a mere 30 lira each for the journey. The walk to Icmeler is around 10/15 mins and around 15/20 minutes to the beach depending on how fast you walk. We highly recommend the boat trip to Turtle beach and the mud baths. We went on the Orca but there are plenty of others to choose from costing approximately £25 each including your lunch. We had a lovely two weeks here and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff.

Second visit to club aquarium, excellent stay again. The rooms although basic have all you need to accommodate your stay. Our apar**ent was cleaned every day and clean towels provided. All areas are cleaned and constantly checked by staff. The friendly staff can not do enough to help. The sister hotel Grand aquarium has a fabulous spa which I highly recommend. Saliye arranged this for me and also arranged free transport. The bar/restaurant staff were amazing, friendly brilliant people, especially Apo, Yunus and Roni, nothing was too much trouble for them. Gee Gee the person in charge of entertainment works his socks off and is a lot of fun. Highly recommend this establishment.

2nd time here and had a great time. Its clean and tidy and the staff are all friendly and will do anything to help you. Bbq night was brilliant and the food was great. Rooms are clean and towels changed every day. Will definitely be back sometime soon. X

Have been going here for a few years now and this year was quite disappointing. Food and drinks were expensive compared to last year. Breakfast has almost doubled in price to £7.50 but if you walk 5 mins around the corner you can get the same if not better for £5.00. We have had meals at the club a few times in the past but chose not to this year due to the prices. We have also gone to the bar at nights on return from dinner but decided to sit in our balcony instead this year (the bar was empty at night). It was obvious that the apar**ents were at capacity, however, this was not reflected around the pool and bar areas which I can only assume people are heading out to eat and drink, which is disappointing. On our second day we woke up with no water, staff were aware that there was building work getting done elsewhere and the hotel had not water due to this. we were told it would be back on at 3pm then 4pm then 5pm, however didn’t come back on until nearer 7pm. A letter under the apar**ent door in the morning explaining the problem, offering some bottled water and possibly the use of a shower at the grand wouldn’t have gone wrong, which would have stopped guests continually going to reception to report the problem. Dilara who dealt with public relations in the past kept everyone in high spirits, chatting away daily, having firepit nights etc but she is no longer there and hasn’t been replaced and now there is no a**osphere or anyone to organise anything. There was one female who dealt with PR from the grand (only know this as another guest told us) arrived once in a blue moon, didn’t introduce herself and all we got from her is “good morning” as she past by the sun-beds and that was it. Can’t fault the bar staff, cleaners or receptionist, they do a great job. We know the rooms are tired and dated but it hasn’t stopped us going in the past. We go at the same time every year and meet the same people, which is lovely and have made great friends, however, they have all voiced the same issues as us. Unless things change we won’t be back.

Excellent hotel! My only issue was the bed! I did end up pulling out the single sofa bed, which is where I slept for 5 out of 7 day's but that's where my criticism stops ✋️ I didn't mention this to anyone as I was happy enough on the sofa, surprisingly really comfortable! The room and bathroom was spacious and the balcony looks over the whole of Icemeler. Was a beautiful view. All the staff from the cleaning team to Management where always smiling or making sure myself and partner had everything we needed. Apol and Yusif (sorry if I spelled your names wrong) were the heart and soul of the place! Great at a Scottish accent too 🤣 Nothings forced - They have a handy card payment system as they don't take cash or debit card payments inside the hotel. Unless you're eating and drinking out everyday?! You just need to go to reception tell them how much money you want to put on the card (we done it daily as we like to get out and about) and pay the receptionist. At the end of your trip they give you back what ever is left over. I'd recommend all the cocktails! The food was lovely everytime we ate in! The steak baguette! Wow, HUGE we easily could have shared! There's a wee cat I completely fell in love with. She's white with ginger and brown patches with a dodgy eye! Please give her a cuddle from me :( She's just the sweetest!! 💔 10 to 15 min walk to the main shopping and restaurant main street theres an abundance of both. The another 5 minute walk and you're at the beach! FYI if you're up for a good walk with lovely sights walk the coast to Marmaris, 1hr 40mins *daunder. (slow walk) There's a shop and restaurant called Tommys Bar a 5 min walk from the hotel. Foods good and the shops handy, only thing is if your aren't to good on your feet or have a buggy/pram you might struggle with the cut through. Once you get over that first 2 second hurdle it's onto even roads/path alos bring your phone for a torch it's dark to start with! Sounds dodgy but it's actually not bad at all. Oh and it's pretty impossible to get lost in Icemeler. Even going back to the hotel after a few drinks we never felt we needed a taxi All in all we had a blast and will absolutely be back! I travelled with my partner and our two boys ages 13 and 15. We all really enjoyed our stay. Yes the room was dated but it’s perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. Extra towels were provided no problem. The food at the hotel was very nice, nothing was too much trouble. The prices of drinks and the food were very reasonable. You pay with a hotel card that you put money on in reception. Easy to track what you spend. We would recommend this hotel, we met Apo, a member of staff who kept us amused with good conversation and nothing was too much trouble for us. He really helped make our holiday memorable. I recommend this hotel very much.

Just got back from a fantastic holiday at Club Aquarium. Lovely hotel set at the top of a very peaceful residential area with the most stunning views. The rooms are basic but clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The pool area is split into two, and there are plenty of sunbeds and a great bar at the lower pool. It's a good 15 minute walk into Icmeler, which we enjoyed, but taxis are plentiful and cheap and the electric buggies are well worth hiring for a day or two at 15 pound for a whole day. What made it for us though were the staff, they are all fantastic, so helpful, they can't do enough for you, food is good too. Already booked to go back next year.

Rooms are suitable for couples or singles only as the pullout beds are simply terrible. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and definitely not a 25 minute walk to icemelar as stated, Mo Farrah couldn't do it in that time and because it's so far out of the way the prices they charge in the bar/restaurant are ridiculously high. £26 for a steak in the UK is considered high nevermind in Turkey. Everything is overpriced and doesn't reflect what icemelar and Marmaris is normally like even a small Efes is £4. Both mornings I've been here so far there has been no hot water which they have said that it'll be back on in the afternoon and last night after I got home from town the electric went out for 45 minutes. Stay away from this hotel.

Fabulous hotel s/c clean, comfortable beds ,excellent staff 👌 who can't do enough for you, I've mobility issues and was given a ground floor room perfect, walkin pool ,and the food at the hotel is spot on .prices same as home, England......
