Absolutely disgusting hotel, avoid at all costs!!
Arrived at 3:30 PM, and to my surprise, there were no available rooms. Had to wait for nearly half an hour. When I finally got into the room, I was shocked – it was a severely flawed room...
From the floor plan, you could tell it was one of only two 'leftover' corner rooms, clearly different from the standard rooms. Being an end room, with poor orientation and no view, I could have overlooked. But the actual room size not matching what was advertised was beyond unacceptable. The booking page claimed 24 square meters, but in reality, it was at most 18 square meters (the photo was taken standing by the door). The layout was also extremely bizarre, with the bed directly facing the toilet. In short, the reality was vastly different from what was advertised online; it wasn't even the same room type!!
On top of that, the window couldn't open, and as soon as I entered, I was hit with a strong smell of renovation materials. The formaldehyde levels were definitely off the charts. I felt very uncomfortable after just a few minutes in the room. I suspect the hotel never properly aired out the room after renovation, and it's probably rarely assigned to guests. Only when the hotel is full do they stick some poor soul in there, so the smell is undoubtedly worse than in normal rooms.
I promptly checked out and refused to stay. After some back-and-forth with the platform, the hotel actually insisted there was no problem with the room, blatantly lying and claiming it was the room type I booked, refusing a refund.
