Check-in is an absolute nightmare, they have a two hour window from 4-6pm where you can check-in. They say if you need to check-in at any other time to contact them 24 hours before your stay, but when I did they said they couldn't accommodate my 8pm arrival time. The man on the phone didn't let me talk, he cut me off and said "no before I could even ask for later check-in. I lost my money for the booking, and had to find a new accommodation the same day.

You get what you pay for.
Pros: The hostel itself was fairly clean and the bathrooms were cleaned daily. Most of the staff are extremely friendly. Nice study/lounge room and patio. WiFi was not working when I got there but they fixed it by the next day. Room temperature was ok. Not too loud outside.
Cons: Disorganized check in. Never received key to the room so it was unlocked all the time. Door to shared room wasn’t working closing properly. Shared room smelled like alcohol. No oven or stove, just a microwave and hot plate. Disorganized check out.

They did a lovely job remodeling the place. I had a emergecy to handle shortiy after I arrived out of town and they were kind enough to refund my stay. Cassie and the rest of the staff there are easily approachable and friendly. Trust me if you wanna stay in New Orleans give this place a shot you wont be dissapointed.

The house has its own culture that I can't express in words. Cass oversees the hostel pretty well and I love how she responded fast to my request in the Whatsapp group even it's out of work hours. She deserves 10/10.
