If you're on a budget and content with simplicity, then this is your pad while visiting Nice. I stayed for 5 nights as a tourist and didn't place my expectations too high, so I was satisfied and spending little money fit my needs rather than staying at a fancy or luxurious hotel. Mind you: this is not a hotel so housekeeping (cleaning, change of sheets and towels) is done only once a week (or not at all if you stay for less). There was everything I needed in this small room: a comfy bed, a desk with chair and small TV (French channels only), a small wardrobe, shower with toilet and sink, small cooking facility (crockery, microwave, sink, stove), a small table. The cutlery was rather shabby and primitive though, and the bathroom smelly. The first three floors were under refurbishment so there is hope for improvement. I must say the staff is very friendly and helpful, always cheerful. I wanted a kettle as well as a a lid for the pot (it seems it was missing) and I was given both immediately upon request. What I liked most is that the Appart'City is located literally around the block of a main bus station hub, and just a minute walk from the metro station Vauban. Nice is not very large so you can cover most of it by foot. It took me a pleasant 25 min. stroll to the port and beach, and likewise to the town centre. I still found it expensive considering that I chose one of the cheaper options around this area... but that's France for you, and a tourist destination at the beginning of June, no less!

Even before we arrived at the hotel the staff demonstrated a bad attitude. I emailed them for information about which bus or tram was best for getting to the hotel and what stop to get off for their hotel. I was told that there was no bus that came near the hotel. This turned out to be completely untrue as the number 12 bus stops close to the hotel as does the number 2 tram. Check in was not a friendly experience, despite my having booked three rooms. The location of the hotel is behind the old town, but this is easily accessible three or four stops on the tram. The hotel is close to the Palais de Expositions. The rooms in the hotel are a perfectly adequate size with a separate toilet from the bathroom and a door to the bedroom. The bed was comfortable. One particularly good touch is the empty water bottle that is in your room when you arrive. There is a water machine (both fizzy and still water) by the elevator, where you can fill the bottle as many times as you want. There is also an empty fridge in the room where you can put this bottle and anything else that you have that you want to keep cold. The shower had good water pressure. However bizarrely the shower gel and shampoo dispensers had been stuck rather than screwed onto the wall and after one shower they ended up in the shower tray, where they stayed for the duration of our stay. There are adequate sockets in the room for customer use, including USB chargers. The television is very French-centric with only BBC World in English. There is a small swimming pool on the roof which is not heated. It has a number of seats around. Next to the Novotel is an NH Hotel that not only has a swimming pool on the roof but also a bar. The breakfast has a good range of options. On the Saturday and Sunday mornings the fresh orange juice machine was walled off, I don't know whether this is a permanent feature at the weekends, but it certainly spoilt our breakfast on these two days. When we checked out, a different member of staff was working and much more pleasant and friendly service was provided. The Novotel is well located for a visit to Nice and is more reasonably priced than hotels in the old town.

I stayed in this hotel last week with my 81 year-old mother. I liked the location of the hotel and the initial impressions was quite favourable. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. Having booked a twin room, we ended up with a double bed. After enquiring wether this could be changed I was promised another room which I looked at but which also had a double bed. I then decided to stay in the original room because the receptionist did not know which rooms were made up as double or twin. She then promised to send someone the following day at a precise time to change the bed. The morning come and went. Nothing happened. I then contacted reception again, which did not know about anything. The day went by and finally in the late afternoon 2 grumpy women turned up, clearly causing them more work, and changed the bedding. The kitchen is modern and has a lot fo good features, but cheap and uncoordinated cutlery, no knives to cut anything decent. The 2 glasses were so small you could almost call it a shoot glass. Just a shame to have a fully functioning kitchen without much equipment to use. The bathroom is small and functional, but the main issue here is the height of the bath tub. How can anyone of a smaller statue even get in??? Not much room to put your toiletries either. Storage seems to be a general problem in the room as well since there is a wardrobe for hanging clothes but not really any storage space for folded clothes in easy reach. The carpet is dirty. There are no reading lights next to the bed and no lights close enough to the table. It was a very dim affair eating your dinner. There was a sign saying you cannot use the balcony for sitting outside or hanging things up. Why even have a balcony I wonder?? What makes me really negative is, that the hotel randomly charged my credit card which is just discovered today. Let´s see when I will get my refund. I am very disappointed with the lack of care and interest of the place.

THE ROOM: spacious and had not only a good bed but room enough to walk around and open a suitcase. There was a desk area by the window and a small sitting area with a bench by the head of the bed. The room was modern and clean and smelled lovely. It was theoretically quiet as it was facing towards the back of the building but the windows have to remain shut as some guests might come and smoke and chat on the terrace (it admittedly happened only once and until someone shouted at them to go to their room). The main problem was some rather loud and repetitive structural sound, was loud enough to wake me. At first I thought that the upstair neighbours were moving a piece of furniture every 2 minutes but it made little sense. I concluded that it was one of the elevators that had some sort of issue and emitted the sound of a dying whale from early in the morning until late into the night. THE STAFF: the staff was friendly and helpful. However, be aware that you will be charged 10 euros to get into your room if you arrive at the hotel before 15:00 and your room is ready. You will be charged 5 euros to leave a suitcase in storage after 10:00 on the day of your departure. You also have to book and pay for a maid to come and change your towels and empty your bin. The hotel was pleasant and affordable but I have never had to pay for these kind of services in any hotel I have stayed at.

This is the best hotel apartment I have ever stayed in Europe! First of all, this type of hotel is very novel. It has both the convenient services of a hotel and the warm feeling of living at home. You can also cook and eat yourself, which is very suitable for family travel. The location is particularly good, it is convenient to go anywhere in the city center, the bedroom of the room faces the hotel’s own small garden, so it is very quiet. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and attentive. You can contact them at any time if you have anything. They also provide tips on how to play and recommended restaurants. The hotel is newly opened, very clean, and the room facilities are very high-end brands. Highly recommend friends who come to Nice to live here!

The location of the hotel is very good. Turn left and then turn left to Gabor Square. There is a large supermarket next to the square and many restaurants in the surrounding area. It is not far from the Old Town of Nice. Breakfast is typical ibis style and ok. However, no extra bed is available in the room. The facilities are complete and the rooms are clean and tidy. Parking lot access is not very convenient, the aisle is narrow, and parking spaces are very laborious. The car I drove was relatively large and not very convenient. There is also a city tax on parking fees. The warmest thing is that there is boiling water and free snacks in the lobby. Although I didn't eat snacks, I made tea several times. Especially suitable for Chinese. 👍

One of the worst hotels I have dealt with. Reservation that was a non cancelable was accidently cancelled. Called hotel within minutes of the cancellation and asked them to reinstate the cancelled reservation. They wanted me to pay again for the two nights in order for it to be reinstated and stated that they can't reinstate cancelled reservation. Horrible CUSTOMER SERIVE AND HORRIBLE INCONSIDERABLE MANAGMENT !!! Booked it through *********** and they were not able to assist with the situation either. This is what is stated on the website, however I was not given this opportunity. Can I cancel or change my dates for a non-refundable booking? Canceling a Non-Refundable booking usually incurs a charge. However, you might have the option to request free cancellation when managing your booking. This sends a request to the property, who may decide to waive your cancellation fee. It's not possible to change dates for a Non-Refundable booking, though it's possible to re-book for your desired dates if your waive fees request is successful.
