Although Priceline is partly to blame, the fact that Super 8 cannot internally fix something in booking is beyond ridiculous, especially since the realistic impact is next to nothing on their side. I use Priceline’s Express Deal feature, which doles out Express Deal only coupons AND gives a deep discount, with the only catch being that the hotel is assigned at random. I used that feature at least 15x and I've never been assigned a smoking room until this booking now, which I wish they would've been put into consideration. Since secondhand smoke gives me a headache as it is, having to spend the entire night in a room with cigarette residue everywhere will be a big problem for me. As soon as I noticed, Priceline would tell me that it's the hotel's discretion to change rooms, and the hotel claims they had to assign the room exactly as requested, and it took 2 hours and escalating the matter all the way up to Priceline management to even have a compromise of booking a nonsmoking room at full price before they'd refund me. The fact that I have to pay more for bad service is an insult and enabling their bad behavior. I wish the hotel either would've just saved everybody the time and headache and just internally switch over to a nonsmoking room, or if Priceline would grant an exception and refund me since I've been so disillusioned with their dismal service that I neither wanted to stay here nor use Priceline that night, but I didn't have the type of disposable income to just forfeit everything at that exact moment, hence the reason why you're seeing this review.
