Hotels near Jour et Nuit in Paris

Stopped for 1 night, chose as the nearest hotel to the airport to catch the flight in the morning. Depressed grey design, dirty carpets at the entrance, staff not wearing badge. The respiratory rooms were confused, our friends gave the key to the busy room, well that the guests we woke up (we settled at 1 hour of the night) closed the door to the chain. Our room was e-chaiter, stove, refrigerator. The designer was probably with a good sense of humor because between the sandwich and the head of the bed instead of the wall a big transparent window! It can be closed with a curtain, but! The curtain is located on the side of the room, that is, only the person in the room decides to close them or open))) is not much if you sleep a little bit, when the light is on in the toilet, the feeling that the light is on in the room above your head. The interior is scratched, scratched on the floor, table, windows go out to the parking and they are very dirty. No soap and shower hat, e. the soots are uncomfortable and they are few, part is located in the floor itself, there is over the e. the stove, but there is no bed. Breakfast is scarce, cruissant, toasts, jam, cheese, sausage, surprised plastic devices! In general, the hotel creates the impression of uncomfortable and unpleasant, one night can be stayed, but there is no desire to return here.

We stayed at GW for two nights. Montparnasse station and Danfer Rochelow station are about 13 minutes walk. Since the airport bus departing and arriving at Montparnasse station is gone, it is very convenient to be able to go to the airport without changing by RER from Danfer Rochelow station. The subway is about 8 minutes from Gete Station. Since it is a hotel on a big street, the surroundings are bright and you are not afraid to walk at night. Moreover, it is quiet at night. It is convenient because the monoprix grocery store near Montparnasse station is open until 23:40. One of the male staff at the front desk was surprised that he was good at Japanese. In addition, he was very kind. Breakfast is served with baguettes and petit size croissants, pan o chocolate, pan orezan in a basket. The baguette was delicious. Drinks can be served in a pot with coffee, tea or chocolate. Orange juice is also available. Then there are a few kinds of shelves of Financier, yogurt, jam and cheese. I thought I would go out to eat if breakfast was too much, but it was enough. Due to the depreciation of the yen, the hotel in Paris for the first time in 4 years was very expensive, and I was worried about where to stay, but I chose this place and it was the correct answer. There is a classic elevator and the rooms are large enough. There is no refrigerator in the room, but it was a very good hotel considering the price.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. I stayed here for work in September 2020. I enjoyed my stay for several reasons. Firstly the hotel is easy to find on the main road into the hotel zone. Secondly, the rooms are large and I had a suite which gave me a kitchenette, living area and separate bedroom, bathroom and toilet plus a terrasse with opening doors. The gym was excellent and the spa looked really nice - I didn't have time to try the pool but the whole area was very clean and well-looked after. The decor in the room was quite sober, the paintwork is a little tired in the room but overall it gave a good impression. The bed was comfortable and I particularly liked the shower gel and other products provided, as well as the intelligent TV to which I could wirelessly connect both my laptop and my Windows Phone (yes, really). The only issue was the wind noise coming through the glass doors to the terrasse. Try as I might I could not get it to stop completely, perhaps the curved shape of the building and the metal frame of the terrasse was to blame. But it is a minor point! Staff were absolutely fabulous, and went well beyond even my high expectations.

Things to like: pleasant modern boutique vibe in the small lobby area, offering complimentary flavoured water (and croissants later in day). Excellent level of cleanliness. Most staff obliging and friendly especially the male receptionist in the evening. Organic breakfast. Good sized room with comfortable bed and pillows, plus functional bedside tables with adjustable reading lights, usb charge points etc. Air con. Middling: room felt soulless with no cheerful pictures, hard (vinyl?) floor, table too small for keys, phones, brochures, and usual travel paraphernalia. Same with the otherwise well equipped bathroom, but instead of drawers under sink it would be better to have some shelving where his/her toiletries could all sit out. Poor: getting hold of some fresh milk for UK tea drinkers depended on who was at reception. On day of arrival before I could buy any it was reluctantly supplied in a miniature jug! View was of big factory belching out steam from tall steel chimneys, and a delivery yard for lorries. So not scenic. Awful: attitude from “M”. On last day, I had just taken my leave when I remembered something and returned to check in desk. Sorted, I went to leave again but was then asked how many breakfasts I had had. Two, times two, I replied thinking it was just conversational but then: Had I paid? Why, yes, of course. (Breakfasts were paid for as and when booked the day/evening before.) Could I prove it? Did I have the receipts? I was confused. What were they saying and, if I hadn’t intended to pay for the breakfasts, would I have “admitted” having any in first place. Didn’t they have a copy of the receipts? They should have but apparently, not mine. So, in this heat you want me to start unpacking my luggage to see if I still have them buried away. Yes. I take my luggage to an area where I can start to dismantle my cases (it’s very hot by the way) and start sifting through when I’m told that one receipt has been found. But is the only one, there are no others. I keep looking and am actually tearful. I feel like a criminal, certainly treated that way. I finally find a small bag with the majority of my receipts and start going through them when I’m told from the other side of the lobby, I’ve found it. I look up. Pardon? I’ve found it. Sorry. Not really what I would call a heartfelt apology for what I’ve just been put through. I repack my cases and leave. Just to add. The only food my companion and I ate that same day was breakfast from the hotel. I’m a pensioner and she a fit healthy teenager who ate some cold buffet meat and croissant which I did not. A few hours later she was feeling nauseous and by the time we caught our train she was sick twice and not well for a couple of days. I cannot say for sure it was the breakfast which appeared to be fresh and kept well but on the other hand it was the only food she had eaten. Stayed here for 7 nights for our holiday in Paris. Service was great from check in to concierge to helping us open wines we bought outside. The concierge helped me to book the taxi to CDG, smooth and reliable. Our family room was spacious, and offered a great view to the Latin Quarter. Comfortable beds and well designed bathroom is exactly what we needed after long days in museums. The location was very convenient. Only 3 mins walk to Montparnasse station, and there is super market 1 minute away, which opens as early as 7am.

The hotel is in a really nice position very close to the metro station of Jaurès that can get you basically everywhere. The place was clean and there is the chance to leave there your luggage if you come to early for check in or if you need to leave it after check out. That earns the 2 stars in my review. Unfortunately this was probably my worst experience in a hotel. Checking in I was told that we got an upgrade and, instead of our view on the city we got what is supposedly a better room facing an internal wall. I must say that I am not sure if that was really an upgrade because it didn't feel like it - and this makes me wonder what would have been a regular room. Rooms are poorly insulated and I could hear perfectly what was going on in the rooms next to our. The cleaning was good, but unfortunately the cleaning lady forgot to close our door and, when we came back to the hotel in the late afternoon, we found the door open. The only answer we got when we reported the issue was ”oh, that's not good” - indeed it isn't. Growing up in a similar business I have been taught to do what it take to make happy your guests and I found odd that I couldn't get a couple of spoons when I asked for them (”breakfast is closed now so we don't have spoons”). All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The price doesn't match the service.

The positives: This hotel is a good value for the money. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. We booked two rooms, and arrived at 9:30 AM; check in is 2:00 PM. The rooms were ready, we were allowed to go up, and had a nap before beginning our day. Both rooms had 3 beds, one room with two balconies and one with one. Our two balcony room looked out over the street, and the other over a building and lot. (Let me tell you it is amazing to open your window and listen to the street noises at night. Makes you feel like you're really there!) Paris 121 is located well, only 1 block to the Metro. With a lovely bakery across the street, nice cafe's a short walk away, a middle eastern restaurant right across the street, and even a grocery store a block and a half away, for us the location was ideal. The negatives: The internet was spotty, so you can't really depend on it. The pillows were very hard and need to be replaced. The breakfast was a buffet, so you could eat all you needed to eat, but was the same every day which became boring after 4 days' time. Was it the Ritz? Nope, but then again, we didn't PAY for the Ritz! Was it a good value for the money? I would say a definite yes. We would definitely stay there again. It was a great start to the New Year, 2022!

Great little hotel, convenient for Gare du Nord and other metro stations. Room was spotlessly clean, really spacious for the 4 of us, with the kids beds behind a partition. Reception staff were very helpful. A special mention to the ladies looking after breakfast who were very helpful with my questions about allergies and the food, they showed me the packet of the thing I asked about so I could check for myself. That was really important for me and they were kind and patient about it. Thank you.

I didn't have much hope for an airport hotel at this price, but it turned out to be okay. At least it's much quieter than the city center. There is a bathroom in the single room, although it is small, and there is heating and TV, which is needed if you want to go to the airport. Take the bus according to the map. There are buses that go directly to the airport. No matter you are in T1 or T2, just get off at the terminal. Because there is a tram in the airport that changes terminals, you don’t have to worry about which terminal you are going to.
