If you are looking for a tranquil escape where you can unwind in peace, you may want to look elsewhere. While the Hôtel & Spa RÉGENT Petite France boasts a stunning aesthetic and an unbeatable location in the heart of the historic district, the actual experience is far from serene. The building itself is immaculate—the cleanliness and amenities are top-tier, and you can’t fault the ”Instagrammable” views. However, the atmosphere is surprisingly high-energy and restless. It feels more like a bustling crossroads than a quiet sanctuary. The Service Gap The most jarring part of the stay is the service. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury spa destination, the staff interaction is disappointingly cold and inefficient. • Lack of Hospitality: Don't expect a warm welcome or proactive assistance. The service feels transactional at best and dismissive at worst. Verdict If you just need a clean, beautiful room in a prime spot and don't mind navigating a service-less, high-traffic environment, this works. But if your goal is to be pampered in a quiet, stress-free bubble, the service hurdles here will likely leave you frustrated.

Room is just good enough and lobby always give me good solutions for my questions. Some hotel room can see train station but my one not and outside is under maintenance.

Everything was excellent! Great location, right in the heart of everything, yet quiet. The staff were very, very friendly, and many spoke Spanish. The bed and pillow were fantastic, and the bathroom was very comfortable and clean. Thank you!

One of the strangest hotel I stayed. I've visited 21 European Country so far, but this hotel was quite different from the previous ones. Firstly, the check-in process was annoying. The woman in the reception told us that we would not be able to have the key of the apartment before 3 pm, which had been officially anounced. That was understandable. However, the woman at the reception could have been more polite. Furthermore, they asked us to fill out a form although she had already asked our personal information. There was no air conditioning at the reception desk but we had to spend time over there despite the extremely hot weather. After 3 pm, more than 10 people were waiting in front of the desk in order to collect the key of the apartments (havasız küçücük bir alanda)... Finally, it was our turn, they told us that we had to pay a deposit for 50€ (if we break anything in the apartment) and they told us this can happen. Ok, maybe it happened before but although I stayed in apartments more than 8-10 times (in different European countries), I've never encountered a policy like this. Apparently, they came up with a ”genius” policy that no other apartment I have stayed in across Europe has ever had. As a bonus, there is a sign inside the room: ”if you forget to clean the kitchen, we charge you with 15€”... Also, inside the room, there was no enough rack to put our luggages on.. Even if the room was clean, and the location was good enough, this apartment/hotel will be a place I never want to stay again...

What a fantastic hotel! I was genuinely surprised and delighted when I saw my room upon check-in. I had requested a quiet room and ended up with a corner room, which offered an amazing view from its corner windows. The warm sunlight streaming onto the corner sofa made for a super comfortable spot to relax and soak up the rays. The room design was very well thought out, and surprisingly, the bathroom featured a three-part separation (toilet, shower, and sink are separated). There was even a full cart for making hot water and coffee. It felt quite luxurious! The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and frequently checked in to see how my stay was going. It truly was a surprisingly delightful experience. The location is also excellent; just over 200 meters away, there's a tram stop, and a few stops will take you right to the city center. It's perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle of the central area. Highly recommend!

The hotel is well located, with less than 10 minutes walking distance to Petite France, train station and Carrefour. Very comfortable and quiet at night provided us a very good sleep. We like the small kitchen with all necessary utensils are provided. We can purchase some grocery from nearby Carrefour and cook dinner for ourselves. Strasbourg is a very lovely and beautiful city.

The location is convenient, close to tram/bus stops, and just one stop away from the train station. However, there are many guests and only three elevators, so you often have to wait a long time to go up or down. The air conditioning in the room had a slightly sour smell. On the positive side, the mattress was very soft and comfortable.

The location is excellent, with the B tram stop right outside. A walk along the Ill River from the hotel to Petite France offers fantastic views. The hotel facilities are also very complete, and a supermarket is about 100 meters away.

This was a convenient and affordable hotel for us to stay at when we visited over Christmas. We would compare it to a university dorm experience but at least it is close to the train station (10 minute walk) and not too far away from the old town area (10-20 minute walk to most major attractions). The hotel breakfast is great if you like croissants and dairy products. There isn't much around the hotel and it is a bit of a walk to any stores or restaurants. There is a halal shop within a 5 minute walk so if you're here over Christmas that is convenient because most places are closed early Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The room had a decent bed that was larger than expected and it had two small pillows. The room also has a long desk area that has two closets for storage, a small TV and it was warm in December. There is a small kitchenette with a fridge, small microwave, a two burner hot plate, a kettle and enough dishes for the two of us. We appreciated that they provided a kitchen sponge and a small container of soap. When we got the room all the dishes were a little dirty so we had to do some cleaning up before dinner. The bathroom was where we got the biggest dorm vibes from because it was a bit smelly when we arrived and that might be due to the hot water tank that had a leaky PSV. The shower was a bit small and while the head was adjustable, the bar grip was broken so we couldn't keep the shower head up high. There was some brown goo inside the shower and it could use a more thorough cleaning to help with the appearance and all. We were surprised that the hotel rooms didn't have a hair dryer or bottle opener. The Alsace region is known for wine so we were able to get a nice bottle but we had to go to the front desk to borrow the opener. Hair dryers are available from the front desk but it is worth asking for these early to make sure you get one in case you need it. They had luggage storage behind the front desk that we were able to use when we arrived and the day we left so we could maximize our time sightseeing. Visiting Strasbourg was fantastic and we would recommend this hotel if you're looking to save a bit while travelling through the area. We were happy with our stay and chose it because it also had an affordable breakfast option but we may look elsewhere if we return to Strasbourg.

Love the service there! The staff at the reception were amazing but the place does not resemble the photo, it's a lot smaller and less new but there's cooking utensils, pots, stove, and microwave but just looks very different from the picture so it was unexpected. It's just 10mins walk to the train station which is very convenient! 20-25mins walk from attractions
