The location is very good. Going downhill from the hotel is the riverside park. There is a memorial sculpture of the abolition of slaves and black slaves. Going uphill is the office area of Richmond City Hall. The street view is beautiful. Hotel room is spacious.

No furniture except desk chair, NO SOAP! On our second day we were resting and housekeeping and maintenance kept SLAMMING the door in the next room. Breakfast minimal at best, no fruit or yogurt High schoolers devouring everything and taking up all space! Very disappointed for a Hilton owned hotel, expensive for Richmond

Check in was super easy. Elevator looked super new to me where we just had to hit the floor number instead of up and down button. Room was terrific, we had issue with the ac unit not working so we was given a fan to help the circulation. Plan on coming back in the future

Paid for a room with 2 beds. Checked in 24 hours prior on the app to secure my room. Got to the hotel and they had me check in again and gave me a 1 bedroom room. The bathroom door in the room got stuck and locked me in so now the door does not close.

Security non great - guest room floors accessible to all - no need to use your key card. People could easily have walked in off the street. Cleanliness - poor. Our sheets had not been changed from the previous guest though the bed was remade. When asked to remedy this, maintenance staff took over half an hour to bring new sheets and omitted pillowcases. Overall, a disappointing stay and certainly not worth the cost.

Great hotel however, during my stay I found out a soccer team stayed there. They kept me up for over 3 hours(10pm-1am) with the yelling, talking, bouncing the soccer ball on the floor. I had to put earplugs in so I could sleep. . I told the front desk person about it. She wrote everything down but I was not compensated whatsoever for me being very inconvenienced.

Great stay! Front desk staff were friendly & fast, rooms were clean, and breakfast was really good (fresh waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, muffins& bagels). 10/10 I plan to stay here again!

when I arrived at the hotel, it was hard to tell the entrance. Once at the door I walked up and the doors didn't open, I arrived within the window where the doors should have been unlocked. I rang the door bell about 5 times, walked back to my car came back and still no one was at the desk to buzz the door open. Eventually the phone started ringing and someone came from around the corner. The next morning breakfast was not good. I have stayed in a Hampton inn, and no corners were cut. But this one the orange juice was watered downed, my oldest son pointed out that it tasted like water, and it did. I asked one of the ladies and she said they have to dilute the orange juice. The overall breakfast was very poor, when thinking of the other Hampton inns I have stayed in.

Unhappy that we could not park on the premises when we arrived. Either the garage is too small to accommodate all of the guests, or the roof top party guests, that was occurring that night, were also allowed to use the same garage.

Everything went really well except check-in. We really liked the hotel and the room was great and quiet. We got to the hotel to check-in right at 3pm which is when it said we were allowed to. We went up to the front desk and a woman was there that looked like she was ready to leave. We told her we would like to check in but she said she was already logged out of her system and couldn’t get back in. There was a sign on the desk that told everyone to go to Homewood suites which was on level 2. She walked us up there but after 15 min couldn’t check us in and she said she was technically done for the day so she left and the Homewood suites employee said he couldn’t check us in and to go back to the Hampton Inn. We went back there and there were a ton of people in line to check in. We had gotten to the hotel at 3pm because we were meeting friends at 3:30 so we decided to just put our stuff back in our car and check in later. The check-in later went smoothly.

Very disappointing stay. The WiFi was down the entire week of my stay. I raised the issue to staff and even reached out to corporate but nobody helped. There were no updates. Nobody followed up. I had to use data from my phone or find a cafe to get work done. Additionally, my bathroom had big cracks in the wall. I am not one to write a bad review after a hotel stay, but I paid good money and left incredibly let down. I hope Hampton Inn does better in the future.

Hotel was in good area, staff amazing, nothing wrong with the stay itself. We stayed in room 1516 I believe, only complaint is, there were stains on the floor, sheets, chair, ect. I’m not sure what they were. We just took the sheets off the bed didn’t wanna stress the workers but they looked like “ sexual “ fluid stains. But over all wonderful stay I would come back.

It could have been cleaner. The bed was clean though. There was a lot black specs that came out of the faucet. When you tried to clean them they smeared like tar or something. At night when I tried to watch tv before bed the tv kept having issues, and I kept having to call maintenance. It says they have a restaurant and bar. There is one on the roof top, but it’s not affiliated with the hotel, so you can’t take drinks to your room or order room service. The people who work there were very nice.
