Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|0.48km from Da Brunello Restaurant
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

Hotel Modigliani

Via Veneto Rome|0.12km from Da Brunello Restaurant
Beware - we stayed at Hotel Modigliani for our first two nights in Italy and for three nights at the end of our trip and had two different experiences. For our first two nights our room was clean and comfortable (small but many hotel rooms in Rome are small) with an updated bathroom. Upon check in for the last three nights of our trip our room was not at all acceptable (see attached photos). The air conditioning vent was black with mold. We immediately reported it to the front desk staff and asked to be moved another room. We were told that they were completely booked and that we should open the window and not run the air that night and they would give us another room the next day. It was warm and humid and very noisy. We had a uncomfortable night. The next day while we were out sightseeing the staff moved our belongings to another room which was smaller than our original room with a bathroom that was not remodeled. We stayed there without complaint because we did not see visible mold and were able to cool the room. When we reported the issue we were told that we would not be charged for the first night. As it turned out that person later denied saying that and we ended up paying full price for a room that should not have been assigned to anyone. This is bad business practice for any establishment. This could be a great boutique hotel. The location is good as is the breakfast where the servers are professional and kind.

Hotel location is good, service is OK (at least I have encountered very good), although the room is small, but it is also exquisite, clean

This hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained and appointed. The hotel reception staff especially Umberto and Annelise were extremely helpful and friendly. The rest of the personnel including the hotel porter, breakfast room and housekeeping staff made our 9-night stay so pleasant and comfortable. The hotel's roof area has 4 tables where you can have take your coffee or a drink to enjoy the city views. This hotel is conveniently located next to 2 bus routes to the city centre and the Piazza Barberini metro train station.
Hotel Eden - Dorchester Collection

I'm only on night two out of a five night stay in Hotel Eden, but felt compelled to leave my review already. Having been fortunate to stay at some of the best 5-star hotels in the world and being an experienced traveller, my standards are extremely high. However, everything about Hotel Eden has exceeded my expectations. Every single member of staff is amazing. We have stayed at other Dorchester Collection properties around the world, but the service at Hotel Eden is another level. We have been so welcomed and the staff have gone out of their way to deliver an outstanding service. Special thanks to Antonio in the Concierge department and to all the team in the rooftop bar who could not have been nicer. If you are looking for the best hotel in Rome or beyond, then I highly recommend Hotel Eden. You definitely won't be disappointed. We can't wait to return again. Thank you for taking such good care of my family and I.

My experience with Excellence suite was amazing since the day I booked the room. The team was always responsive to my questions before we arrived as it was my first trip to Rome and I had some concerns. When we arrived, the welcoming was very good. The lady was very nice and explained everything to us. The room was big, clean and has all the amenities needed (towels, shower gel, kettle, tea..). The room was arranged on a daily basis. The hotel is close to main attractions, we could walk everywhere without using any other kind of transport. The neighborhood is calm at night and during the day. You can sleep easily without hearing voices from the street. Overall, my stay was amazing there and I highly recommend this place.
Berg Luxury Hotel

To be totally fair I am going to have to start by saying that not all of the issues that reduced our pleasure ate entirely the fault of the Diva. We were there during a heatwave and the air conditioning could not really cope. As a result we slept poorly and sweated profusely. The roadworks outside the hotel meant that the road outside was unsightly. At another time these might not be issues; I can only rate my experience. This is a luxury hotel. The staff are excellent. The rooms are beautiful and the beds large. The wardrobe provides plenty of space and actually has sufficient hangers (a rarity). There are too many different light switches for sanity. Be aware, this is Italy and although the television in the room is large, there is only one English language channel (BBC News). That is no a criticism, just a fact of life. The bathroom is vast and very well equipped. There are two sinks, a bidet and a large, powerful rain shower. The only issue was that it was dim even with all of the (many) lights on. Breakfast is good. It is a continental style buffet with breads, cheeses, meats and fruit. The breakfast staff were exemplary. I cannot praise them highly enough. After the second morning they knew us and our coffee order. They were helpful and friendly.
