This is one of the best hotels I've ever visited. From the moment we visited for our three-night-stay at the Alila Napa Valley everything was perfect. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. Unlike many other hotels that I have visited, and a hallmark of 5* star service, the hotel staff were proactive about anticipating your needs in advance and accommodating for them. As we arrived for check-in, our room was already ready, the connecting doors between our rooms were already open, the rooms were set to our desired temperatures in advance, and a welcome amenity awaited us (we're Hyatt Globalists so I don't know if this comes standard otherwise). We had a Vineyard View Suite along with another Vineyard View Room which both had beautiful views of the Beringer Estate. Let them know in advance of your arrival time and watch the magic happen. Ask for Ellen (Guest Services Manager) if you need any recommendations for where to visit in the outlying area - she's not only helpful but has a very kind and caring attitude about it. Zachary (GM at Acacia House) and Thomas (Executive Chef at Acacia House) were also very accommodating as well to some bespoke menu requests at Acacia House where we dined several times (for breakfast and dinner). Chef Thomas Lents is a newish addition to the Acacia House team (having joined, I believe, in only November 2023), but he is a definite standout star. Given his experience working at Michelin star restaurants, and his approach to farm-to-table-esque dining - at Acacia House you get to taste the locally grown ingredients with every bite (without the pretentiousness that comes with restaurants of this quality). It really seems to signify the phrase 'Taste the View'. The Globalist breakfast options at Acacia House were also some of the best breakfast options you can get as a Globalist at any Hyatt property. The spa offers some great massages that our party was able to benefit from after our long journeys. Our rooms had daily turn-down service and they provided in house made cookies (with, I presume, Maldon Salt) during turn down daily. These were lovely alongside the fire pit in the evening. Our only minor criticism is that the check-in lobby is non-descript and hard to find if visiting the property for the first time (we wandered around until we entered the check in lobby). It probably deserves a more noticeable sign or indicator that it is for check in. Having visited many 5* star hotels across different brands, I can still say this is one of the best experiences you can find.
