Hotels near Grand Santiago Tower in Santiago

I stayed here for a couple nights and the hotel is in very good shape, everything still smells new. The location isn't really good, there's literally nothing around, you will need an Uber to go anywhere. Never take a taxi in Chile!!! They will totally rip you off. Front desk people isn't friendly or welcoming at all but I think that's everywhere in Chile.

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely comfortable beds with more luxurious linen than usual. Hot showers. 3 elevators so never any waiting for one. Large continental breakfast (no hot food). Located on street with lots of restaurants. Bank 2 blocks away. Perhaps has soundproofing since there was no noise through the night.

The warmest of welcome from a great team at Ugo Hotel. The hotel is well placed in a nice area. It was modern, very light, airy and clean. Our room (334) was on the third floor facing towards what looked like residential apartments. Our only wish was that our view hadn’t been slightly obscured by a wall to another part of the hotel. The reception / lobby / bar was a good place to sit. The main light hanging above made a statement. The room itself whilst not the biggest had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (3 night) during our tour. There were two big, very comfortable beds. This combined with the pillows supplied led to 3 good nights sleep. The second bed was great for laying clothes out and packing ‘ unpacking. The WC / Shower were in the ensuite with the washbasin just outside in an area divided from the bed space by a divider and hanging space. The shower was very good although some might find the floor slippy. There wasn’t a plug in the sink (by design). This was the moment we remembered the travel plug had been left at home. This was an inconvenience when shaving and meant that more water was used than might have been had there been one. We pointed this out as a water saving idea at reception who welcomed the positive feedback. There was good air-conditioning but like most you need to leave one of the key cards in if you want it to continue working when you go out. That said from an energy saving point of view it didn’t take long to cool the room down once we returned. We did turn the AC down at night as like most installations the noise can be a bit of a pain when trying to sleep. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and a nice looking bar with a fantastic team. Not everyone spoke English but we didn’t speak any Spanish but we got by just fine. We had some great Chilean wine and loved the Pisco Sour. Thanks to Laos Silizar for giving me his recipe. There is an enclosed garden area at the back close to the bar with a variety of seating among greenery and to one end a pool. The lifts were quick and we never had to wait more than a few seconds for one. There were two ice cream shops within seconds of the main entrance and a number of nice restaurants. The tallest building in Latin America Sky Costanera was only about a 10 minute walk away. By virtue of its height it has the highest viewing platform in Santiago, from where the 360 degree panoramic view from the 61st and 62nd floors including The Andes is exceptional. Beneath this is a very big shopping centre containing many restaurants of all sorts. We went our for a walk each evening in the direction of the adjoining residential. There were some nice apartment blocks / homes. The area was well lit and felt safe. To summarise we enjoyed staying at Ugo Hotel very much. All of the staff were fantastic. Recentemente fiquei hospedada com a família neste hotel durante 6 dias, o hotel tem uma localização boa fica em torno de 20 minutos de carro dos principais pontos turísticos e do aeroporto, café da manha bom e camas confortáveis. Porém o que deixou a desejar é falta de poder controlar o ar condicionado, de madrugada fazia 10 graus e o hotel não tinha aquecedor pois só no inverno que há aquecedor nos quartos, passamos muito frio a noite, por mais que o hotel tenha fornecido cobertores. Outra coisa que também foi que não conseguimos utilizar o cofre, tentaram arrumar o cofre, mas sem sucesso. A piscina só pode ser utilizada se estiver utilizando uma touca de natação o qual é vendido no hotel, achei estranho, pois já me hospedei em muitos hotéis e nunca vi solicitarem isso. Fora isso os quartos são confortáveis e limpos, ocorreu tudo bem!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights while visiting Santiago de Chile, and my experience was pretty good. Check-in process was smooth with no complaints other than the lack of staff to escort the luggage. We got a room in the middle of the building and the room was spacious and comfortable with working heater plus air conditioner for warning up from the chilly Santiago weather. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the breakfast due to the constraints of our tour but overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good accomodation in the centre of Santiago.

My husband and I stayed in an executive room for 5 nights in January-February 2020 while holidaying around South America. Positives: - a massive fresh, clean and modern room with nice views - good breakfast buffet - good wifi - friendly staff, except for the breakfast staff who were a bit aloof. - within walking distance to the metro station. We Ubered a lot, and this worked fine. (Taxi drivers, however, struggled, to locate the hotel for some reason.) - a nice cocktail bar on the rooftop. Negatives: - we had repeated issues with lack of hot water in the shower. Not acceptable. - we had to ask four times to get our laundry picked up. - no room service for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We were travelling for 3 months and sometimes you're just too tired to venture out for food. Had this been a business trip, I'd had been absolutely appalled as I tend to have room service dinner so as to get a moment's rest and solitude. Simply inexcusable not to provide this service. - music from the cocktail bar carried into our room one night, necessitating earplugs (we were on the highest floor). - the cocktail bar is, understandably, very popular with locals. While I fully support the hotel also providing a space for locals, there should have been some tables (as well as sun loungers during the day) exclusively reserved for paying hotel guests, because it was quite difficult to grab a spot in the relatively small area both during the day and evening. (The hotel appeared to sell daytime pool passes to non-guests.) - about to check out, we called the concierge to ask someone to help us and come pick up our luggage. To our surprise, they informed us that this service was not provided (?!) and that they'd had to ask for permission from someone higher up to send someone to help us. I thought it was a joke at first, it sounded so absurd. When we checked in, there was a bellboy who automatically took all our luggage so making a big show about providing this when checking out was just very odd. All in all, however, a solid four-star hotel.

This was not our usual pick for Santiago but we had meetings nearby and took a chance. The suburb that Almasur resides in is a quirky and friendly neighbourhood with a charming plaza of restaurants, cafes and bars. There are a few private schools and colleges, the Main Street is cobbled and lined with Plane trees so it has an atmosphere rather like Paris!The hotel is brand new and perfect for business with large rooms. The cafe bar down stairs is great for working and meeting. I will be staying here again.

Excellent service, friendly, careful. Every time I feel welcome and like at home. The cleaning very good , I think it is perfect. Shops very close, Mall Open Kennedy 5 minutes walk, Mall Park Araucano 7 minutes and the Park Araucano. I'm going with my dog and always have a shirt and a dishes. This is a very complete service. I'd always come back.

My Wife age 69 toured all over Sth America 4 months altogether now and myself 7 months, this is probably “THE BEST VALUE ON A LIMITED BUGET HOTEL” l have ever over here, come across, l booked here because it was recommended in “South American 2021 Edition of *LONELY PLANET* Travel Advice Books on a Limited Budget. We stayed here for 9 nights altogether for $71 per night, with a Great Continental Breakfast (see photos below). The staff are very Friendly, especially NANCY ( who speaks fluent English), she helped us with all things, like booking cheap local taxi’s, advising places to go, catching buses to other cities, etc. The other staff who are all from Venezuela, although only speak Spanish, are all very friendly and bend over backwards to help, you can communicate using a Translator App, write in English, converts to Spanish.
