Bonjour, Je tiens à vous faire part de mon insatisfaction la plus grande concernant le campanile de Saumur. Je me suis rendu dans cet établissement le mercredi 19 au soir après avoir réservé sur l'application booking cet hotel. Lors de ma réservation sur le téléphone via l'appli booking, j'ai reçu un message m'indiquant qu'il y avait eu un problème réseau et qu'il fallait que je recommence. J'ai donc fait une seconde réservation. En arrivant à l'hotel, je me suis rendu compte de la double réservation et j'ai prévenu la réceptionniste dès mon arrivée soit 5 mn après avoir fait la réservation en ligne. Celle-ci m'a indiqué noter le problème et que la direction serait disponible le lendemain matin lors du checkout pour en parler. C'est chose faite j'en parle le lendemain matin à la direction lors du checkout, qui me demande de voir avec Booking. J'appelle Booking dans la foulée, qui me dit avoir besoin de l'accord de l'hotelier. Mais le problème c'est que le directeur ne veut pas me rembourser cette deuxième chambre, arguant que j'ai fais une réservation non remboursable non annulable. J'ai essayé de le joindre par téléphone pour en parler avec lui. Il n'a rien voulu entendre. Soit disant de toute façon son patron dirait non car il gère 7.500 hotels. Je ne peux me satisfaire de cette réponse. L'établissement n'est pas sérieux.

Good 3 star hotel in central location. We stayed 3 nights in a superior double in 1st floor. Room ok size, bathroom good as had bath and shower- all very clean. I liked the option of not having housekeeping every day, and was able to get refill coffee and toilet roll from reception when required. Air con worked well. We asked for a sheet instead of the duvet as it was hot, and they accommodated our request. Very helpful bilingual front desk staff. There is no lift, and a little bit of noise of people in upstairs room walking around. The parking was closed for building work, but easy to park in open car park opposite for 8 euros 24 hrs. We didn’t have breakfast as lots of nearby cafés. We would stay again.

Firstly this hotel is in a great location and only a ten minute walk to the centre. The receptionist and the woman who was in charge of breakfast were both great. The room however was in desperate need of refurbishment. Initially our air conditioning wasn't working but the receptionist (she seemed to be doubling up as maintenance) came up and replaced/cleaned the filter and it was fine after that. The bathroom was a mess. Someone has decided to paint the area around the sink with brown paint that isn't waterproof. Everything that touched it (toothbrushes, towels, shaver, etc,) came away stained. I mentioned this at checkout but the receptionist didn't seem surprised or particularly interested. I suspect she knows about it. Breakfast was fine. Private parking is very tight. If you have a larger car I wouldn't bother, I'd stick to the street outside. We have a VW Golf and it was difficult to manoeuvre in and out. Oh then there's the price. We were quoted 11 euros on arrival, then 10 euros on checkout. My wife then pointed out it says 9 euros on the tariff notice in reception and that suddenly became the price! Overall then the hotel is in a good position but in need of some investment. Its a long way past its best

A charming well located hotel with stunning views of the château from the quaint courtyard. Service was excellent, staff welcoming and very friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I loved the close proximity to the town centre which is full of charm and character and the Loire across the road! The buffet breakfast was excellent served in a pleasant dining room. The sauna and pool area provided a great place to relax and unwind at the end of a days kayaking, hiking, cycling visiting the many chateau or historically interesting places in the surrounding area as we did.

Exit from the motorway a few kilometres from there we found a hotel, a warm welcome, the prices are convenient, the hotel is very clean, and then a nice breakfast, There is a gas station just next to you can eat at Courtepaille you will be entitled to 15% discount where at the hotel You can order hot dishes. Le Domaine de Mestré use de la pratique commerciale trompeuse, consistant en la proposition à la réservation d’une chambre, pour finalement imposer au consommateur une autre aux qualités essentielles strictement opposées, sauf au consommateur de perdre le prix déjà versé dont le remboursement lui est refusé. Après avoir réservé une chambre particulière au sein de l’établissement Le Domaine de Mestré, pour la nuit du 26 août 2023, tel que le permet son site internet qui propose 3 chambres dites « insolites » qui sont toutes individuellement réservables – chacune disposant d’un bouton RESERVER indépendant – je me suis vue imposer l’attribution d’une chambre complètement autre que celle que j’avais réservée, au motif d’un problème de leur site internet et de l’indisponibilité finale de la chambre réservée. J’avais réservé la chambre « Les Cîmes » de 42 m2 décrite comme lumineuse et « agrémentée d’un mobilier design unique, offrant un espace élégant, alliant douceur et modernité », mais à mon arrivée je me suis vue attribuer la chambre « La Grange, XIIème siècle » de 25 m2, donc non spacieuse ni moderne puisqu’il s’agit de la chambre au sein de laquelle : « les pèlerins dès le XII° siècle dormaient lorsqu'ils étaient sur la route de Saint Jacques de Compostelle ou qu'ils venaient à l'Abbaye de Fontevraud », qui date pour les derniers aménagements à savoir la cheminée, du XVIIème siècle. Cette chambre adossée à une chapelle est d’ailleurs qualifiée par la réception « d’historique et monacale ». Face à cette difficulté la réception de l’établissement m’a tout bonnement imposé soit d’accepter cette chambre, aux caractéristiques totalement différentes de celle que j’avais réservée, soit de partir sans aucun remboursement du prix déjà versé. Refusant d’adhérer à cette pratique de l’établissement Le Domaine de Mestré d’imposer au consommateur une chambre aux qualités essentielles strictement opposées à celles de la chambre réservée, j’ai renoncé à séjourner au sein de cet établissement et n’ai obtenu aucun remboursement de leur part.
