Check-in wasnāt a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didnāt work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didnāt match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didnāt have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didnāt have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonaldās instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

Staying at the Radisson Collection was the best decision we made with hotels during our trip. Right on the pedestrian street and walking distance to the bund and restaurants. Hotel had comfortable beds, and we got an amazing room at the top most floor with views of the bund! Sadly we spent all day out that when we got back the lights of the bund were always off when we got back but thatās not the hotels fault. Breakfast was good, had the local delicacies that I enjoyed. Staff were so sweet to bring a cake for my daughterās birthday and it was the most delicious cake ever so smooth dark chocolate yum! I will be coming back for more!
Toiletries were good and hotel was very accommodating for anything we needed. I will be back to stay here again when Iām Shanghai!

The location of the hotel is great - metro station Dashijie around the corner and 15-20 minutes walk from the Waitan street. The hotel has an unique a**osphere of an old beautiful historical building. The rooms are spacy and very clean, fully equiped ( there is even an iron and ironing desk in each room). We would especially like to thank the staff at the reception, which spoke with us in excellent English and helped to solve a problem with refund of money for renting a power bank in one of the street cafes.

Hotel is strategically located with multiple subway stations nearby. Many places are within walking distance to the hotel for example the famous Nanjing Road and Xintiandi. Many popular eateries nearby. Thereās a small park right beside the hotel. Room is tidy everyday with a new set of towels and mineral water. Breakfast is available at the lobby at a cost. Laundry is available at a cost too. Overall had a great stay at the hotel but disappointed with the customer service provided by one of the female staff where we asked to help keep my things in the fridge to prevent it from spoiling but when I came back to the hotel at night, the item was still out at the front desk, really disappointed with the service.

āI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shanghai Marriott Marquis Hotel , and I must say, the experience was nothing short of wonderful. From its strategic location along the serene riverside to the beautifully maintained surroundings, the hotel offers a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. The cleanliness of the hotel deserves a special mention as it met all my expectations for a five-star establishment.
The breakfast selection was diverse and delicious, catering to all tastes with both local and international options available. It was a great start to the day, energizing me for my adventures around Shanghai.
Most importantly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Cora, the front desk manager, who went above and beyond to upgrade our room to a double bed setup. Her kindness and professionalism significantly enhanced our stay, making it truly memorable. Cora's warm welcome and exceptional service are commendable and reflect the high standards of hospitality at Marriott.

The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, Peopleās Square, close to The Bund and other places.
My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport.
ļ¼ Nanjing Road
ļ¼ The Bund
ļ¼ Yu Yuan Garden
ļ¼ Shanghai Old Town
Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names)
ļ¼ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose.
The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination.
The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :)
All in all. Itās a great hotel and great location.

Unable to travel over the festive season, I decided to treat myself to a few days in a local hotel. What other choice was there, other than the Bvlgari?
Prior to my arrival I received a call from the hotel. They confirmed my arrival time, made dinner reservations for me, added me to WeChat and offered me any other help that I required.
Upon arrival I was greeted by Eva. She checked me in and immediately offered me a late check out time of 14:00. This was extended further on the final day to 16:00. Fantastic! More time to relax by the pool and in the sauna.
Having checked me in, Eva gave me a tour of the property. The Bvlgari is stunning! From the stylish restoration of the Chamber of Commerce building to the sleek, modern interior of the main building.
The Bvlgari is located in an excellent position by Suzhou Creek. It offers dazzling views of Lujiazui , the Huangpu River and the rear of The Bund. Perhaps one of the best views in the city.
Of course, the room was magnificent. Huge TV, super comfortable bed, walk-in wardrobe and a wide selection of drinks and snacks, most of which were complimentary. I especially thought the pillow mist was a nice touch.
In addition to the welcome snacks, Eva brought me a desert from their little cabin outside. A delicious Italian, vanilla donut- like desert. Good job I didnāt have lunch that day.
I dined at both the Italian and Chinese restaurants. Both of which offer amazing food.
The Italian presents simplistic fare with the emphasis on fresh ingredients. The vegetable broth and specialty bread is to die for.
The Chinese restaurant offers high quality Cantonese food and an alternative wine selection to that in the main building.
The sommelier suggested a great wine pairing for the meal and also provided a complimentary glass of champagne and a coffee liqueur before escorting back to the hotel.
Le Mer products are used in the spa! Yes, this is fantastic. My therapist, Daisy, had me in the state of being between consciousness and unconsciousness many times during the course of my treatment. Just what I was looking for.
The staff at the Bvlgari are excellent. Young, professional and obviously well trained, evident through their subject knowledge and warm hearted service.
All the staff consistently addressed me by name and ensured that my stay was perfect.
Whilst at the bar, one of the girls presumed I was asking for the bill, when actually I was asking for another drink. I left to visit the WC and returned to find a note apologizing for her misunderstanding of English accompanying a complimentary desert with my drink. That was amazing! Thank you, Elsker.
Itās often the small things that make a difference. Whilst walking to my room one of the room attendants was vacuuming the carpet. She abruptly stopped and waited for me to pass. Whilst at the pool, I headed towards the jacuzzi. Some of the staff appeared to be fixing or checking something, but they swiftly disappeared as I emerged.
Upon checkout, Eva was waiting for me with a gift bag containing chocolates. This was in addition to the luggage tags and toiletries that were gifted by the turn down service the previous night. Eva called me a car to take me home. Whilst I waited she filled my gift bag with sweets from the huge jars of confectionery in the lobby. As the doorman approached to let me know my car had arrived, he also presented a small gift of Bvlgari toiletry products.
What an amazing experience.! Truly remarkable.
I will definitely return and Iāll be adding locations in Paris, London, Bali and Milan to my list of places to visit.
Thank you to the entire Bvlgari team. From those excellent customer facing members of staff to those who are behind the scenes and make things run so well. You all do a fantastic job and I wish you all the greatest success on the future.
If you get a chance, visit the Bvlgari.
LLea PajarilloWe are a family of four with 2 kids. For us adults, it's been a while since we had a spa experience and The Senz reminded us how relaxing it is. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool, it was big and clean. The food choices are all yummy. All the staff, especially the Filipino staff are all accommodating and very gracious. Overall, it's a staycation worth visiting again very soon.

HHEINZ888Arrived at the hotel at 00:35h using the 24h transit. Taxi driver didn't know how to drive to the hotel.
Entered the hall and went to the (Concierge?)desk on the left. There was no one there... The hotel management should have put a noticeable sign with the text that the lobby/reception is located on the 3rd floor. I had to ask a guest where the lobby/receptiondesk was.
The service at the receptiondesk was excellent. Also made a reservation for the shuttlebus to the Pudong Airport T1 (08:30h), the shuttlebus to the Pudong Airport was free of charge.
The bedroom was nice and clean. The breakfast was excellent.
Overall 4 stars out of 5, due to the lack of information about the lobby location.
JJuliaHotel offers huge space - u can walk here like in a bug park/forest!
Delicious buffet dinner š
Among downsides - no walking pathes, you have to walk on the roads with the cars driving. Only near the lake and in the forest there is one path for pedestrians only. Not convenient with a child. Also, if they had an outdoor swimming pool wouldn't have been perfect.

AAlfonsoI stayed for 4 nights. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I have two suggestions: 1) my room was significantly smaller than the previous stay and I was a bit disappointed. Maybe it was clear in the description when I booked, but I would have happily upgraded for a nicer and wider room. 2) on my floor, 14th floor, there was a strong smoke smell and even some cigarettes on the floor near the elevator. I would personally choose another hotel if smoke is allowed in the hotel and definitely if there is smoking allowed on my floor. Please consider the above as I would not stay again if smoking is allowed. I appreciate the good service at the checkin and checkout and the concierge for luggage storage. I also enjoyed the convenience provided by the vending machine on ground floor.
GGuest UserWe stayed in the most expensive room in the hotel (rooftop suite with the bathtub). It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either - it's pretty worn in parts. The were strange stains all over the walls (it looked like someone had been fighting and throwing drinks at each other, or kicking a dirty football against the walls), and the bottom of the sofas and chairs pretty dirty too (most of these could be cleaned with a deep clean) and much of the furniture was worn with scuffs. It looks like the guests that stayed there recently just had their feet all over the sofas and stuff. The shower head doesn't move which would make it hard to shower if you wanted to wash your hair. Breakfast was very Chinese style but it looked good (we weren't hungry though and just grabbed a coffee). The mini bar was basic but there was lots of bottled water available. There was old water in a milk jug too, which made me feel like it hand' t been cleaned properly. We also had to give the bath a good clean ourselves before we used it as it hadn't been cleaned properly (there were some black grease marks on the bath which only build up over time of not being cleaned well). We cleaned this off ourselves before using it and gave the whole bath a good scrub with soap. I grew up with horses so I'm by no means a germaphobe, but it was grubby even by my standards. It wasn't disgusting, but not what I'd expect at this price point. The staff were mostly friendly however we acted like we didn't know Chinese to see how they acted and they were a little impolite at times (just a little, but this is kind of common in China). As an example, we asked for some champagne glasses and in Chinese one girl said to the other 'I don't know where the champagne glasses are, just give them wine glasses'. It's small, and champagne glasses did turn up in the end, but the tone was almost irritated and it felt a little rude in context. Is it rude if they think you can't understand? I don't know! We also had to request hair and toothbrushes as they weren't in the room.
I feel a little petty writing it, but at 3000 RMB per night I would expect a pretty seamless, high end experience.
We had a great time, but the room needs a little TLC and a good clean.
GGuest UserOur stay at the Radisson Blu was so disappointing that we both made notes but have waited to post the review so that some of the frustration could subside. Weāve stayed at the Radisson multiple times as itās been our hotel of choice for business and pleasure for many (15+) years. This stay was specifically for business.
Upon check-in we were told that our room had no window, even for almost 900 CNY that we paid on Trip. And that payment was only a guarantee. Fine. So, we agreed to pay an additional 100 CNY to have a window.
Then, we were also told that we needed to pay (WeChat) 1500 CNY and that would include the cost of the room rate and the deposit. No sincere explanation or apology by the person at the check-in counter, just a lot of uncomfortable laughing and āpay now, pay now.ā We felt like we were being cheated even though this was normal policy.
To be fair, the room given had an amazing view. We were very satisfied and had begun to think the worst was behind us.
We ordered room service that included wonton (dumplings) soup, a classic Caesar salad, and a margherita pizza. The wonton soup was great, but the margherita pizza was barely passable, and the classic Caesar salad was an abomination. Hands down, it was the worst Caesar salad we had ever had. Tiny bacon bits, smelly yellow oil, and old lettuce. We ate two bites and quickly placed it outside in the hallway where it sat until 10:00am the next day. Note: you can only order premium (expensive) bottled water and we were told that they couldnāt give us any more āregularā bottled water even if we said weād pay for it.
At night, the staff at the fitness center acted as if we were disturbing them when we asked basic questions. A total lack of hospitality that should be on display at a 5-star hotel. We really began to dislike our experience at this point because it became quite evident that nobody really cared. To again be fair, however, the male staff who was on duty in the next morning, was sincere and polite. A welcoming contrast from the evening before.
But then at brunch, the three young men who were running the egg and omelet station were horribly loud and rude. Like everything was a big joke to them ā and it got to the point where we just walked away even after we had tried to order.
After brunch, probably the biggest disappointment was that we found out that the Business Center was closed. We had scheduled an important meeting at the hotel and needed to print and prepare some items. We were told that we could only print if we emailed the documents to a hotel email. This was not going to happen so we created a little fuss and a polite manager suddenly appeared and handled everything. That was nice. But the damage was done.
After this situation, we made the decision that this would be our last time staying at the Radisson.
Lastly, after more than 24 hours, the guarantee was only refunded after we called and spoke to a customer service representative at Trip who was very helpful.
MMatthew LimLocation:
Extremely convenient. 5 mins walk from Shanghai Main Railway which made it easy for us to take trips out to Hangzhou and Wuxi.
Amenities:
Lawson and Family Mart just around the corner made it easy to get basic necessities. Being near the railway also gave us easy access to various food options even when itās late. (highly recommend Yangās Dumplings)
Service:
Highly satisfied with the service we received from Jius Hotel staff! We were landing in the wee hours of the morning (earlier than previously planned), hence we made a second booking so that we could catch some rest when we got to the hotel. We kindly requested if the staff could arrange it such that we could have one room for our entire stay. Not only did the staff facilitate our request, but also gave us a complimentary upgrade to 1-Room to make it happen.
Room:
Absolutely loved our stay at Jius Hotel. Room was huge and had a nice view of Suzhou River. A fun feature that we particularly enjoyed was how the room is smart configured, so you can close the blinds or off the lights entirely by voice control. And after a long day of exploring Shanghai, we always look forward to soaking in our very own jacuzzi. What really stood out for us was how comfortable the pillows are. This is the first time I have experienced such comfortable pillows over a hotel stay, so much so that we tried to ask the staff where the hotel got the pillows from.
Overall, our stay at Jius Hotel was such a pleasant and wonderful experience. And for the given hotel rate on Trip.com, it has definitely been a steal for us. Strongly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Shanghai!
