The apartment is in an excellent location. It is between two subway stations on the blue line. It is convenient for eating. Nearby are Nanyang Old Coffee, Ya Kun, Songfa Bak Kut Teh, Toast Workshop, Coconut, and basic internet celebrity shops. The kitchen can also be used for cooking. For food, there is a supermarket in Tangchengfang nearby to buy food. The only bad thing is that the front desk staff are foreigners. Their English is not standard and they don’t know Chinese at all. They often rely on translation software to communicate. In addition, after 8 p.m. The emergencies that occurred were not solved in time. For example, one night after we washed and dried our hair, the hair dryer suddenly caught fire🔥. Because the front desk was off work, we could only call the boss to communicate, and the hair dryer could only be brought the next day. , the two children slept with wet hair that night, and caught a cold the next day. This is a new venue in Singapore, offering guests loads of comfort. It consists of a main building (reception/lounge area/work space) and a newly built building, where the rooms/apartments are located. In between lie the swimming pool 30 mtrs or so long and the gym. Rooms are very comfortable, well designed and well equipped. Staff is very helpful. They offer guests a good breakfast, not abundant but more than enough for us. Around six they offer guests free wine and beer and some snacks. Non alcoholic beverages/coffee/tea are available 24/7. Bicycles are available too.

This review is long over due. My extended family and I stayed at Oakwood Studios Singapore through most of December 2022 and onto the first week of January 2023. The circumstances around our stay was very difficult but the management and staff at the Oakwood Studios made our stay most comfortable and we can’t thank them enough. This is not your typical service apartment but one with a special touch. And it seems to be popular with expats on short assignments to Singapore and families who have patients being treated at MT E Orchard or many of the other medical facilities across Singapore. Nestled across from York hotel and one building next to Quincy this is a most unique property. I have stayed at both the others in the past but I prefer Oakwood by far with its balcony in every room and clean and modern style with kitchenette. But it’s the people that made all the difference. I would like to specially thank Hitesh for going out of his way and even while on holiday to accommodate our ever changing dates and need for rooms. A big thanks to Nass as well for always stepping up and being most accommodating. Thank you Dan, Denise, Kym, Jet and Shobina for all the help at reception, with the brilliant breakfast boxes and recommendations. The residents loved the Thursday night cocktail and snacks which were complimentary and the many hidden outdoor places in the building (including the roof top pool). A must stay in Singapore for those planning to stay for a week or longer. At the time we were there, we heard that the Ascott group had bought Oakwood Studios. As good as the Ascott brand are themselves, I do hope they allow Oakwood Studios to retain its unique style and personality.

We rented the Room 403 A & B. The rooms are poorly maintained. The Air conditioning unit emits a pungent sourish odour that permeates my entire room and makes all my clothes smell bad! The stench was overwhelming. Also, there was an issue with dampness caused by the air conditioner, resulting in condensation on the bedsheets and clothing which made the room uncomfortable. Paying for the room in cash at the reception is excruciatingly painful because they never have change and could not provide any! Numerous times and it never occurred to them to prepare spare change! Totally unprofessional. The only positive thing I can say about this place is Johnna the receptionist’s warmth and friendly attitude. The poor girl seems to be handling everything by herself and yet; she still manages to put a smile on her face.

I would recommend this hotel if you are coming to Sg as a visit. For me, the most favourite part is having a kitchen and they support kitchen stuffs as well. The room is very clean and tidy. Although cleaning service is not every day, it still should be ok. Bus stop is just outside the hotel so it is very convenient to go most of the places. I will choose this hotel again if my family members come back again.
