Driving from Fuzhou to Xiapu, I found the accommodations there quite mismatched in terms of quality and price, so I booked a hotel a bit further out. It was much better than I expected; I got a suite for just over 100 yuan, including breakfast: porridge, steamed buns, mantou, fried noodles, fried rice, a small bowl of pork rib soup, coffee, bread, etc. The room was very clean and new. I'd definitely book this hotel again if I pass through again.

What impressed me most was the hotel service; from the front desk to the guest rooms to the breakfast restaurant, everyone greeted me with a smile. Because of this, I decided to stay an extra night. The hotel is located in the bustling city center of Fuding, but it was very quiet at night. The Fuding Bus Station is diagonally opposite the hotel. Walk straight along the road from the Taimushan Visitor Center, cross the Badu Bridge, and you'll see the hotel; it's about a 15-minute walk. The guest rooms were spacious, clean, and tidy. Besides coat hooks at the entrance, there was also a coat rack – attention to detail. I loved the hotel's breakfast; it was warm and unique. There was a good variety, and I especially enjoyed the bowl of noodles – refreshing, delicious, and chewy. The front desk staff were all very friendly and attentive. They sent me Taimushan travel guides via WeChat, recommended nearby restaurants and eateries, and patiently answered my questions. The rooftop has a washing machine, dryer, terrace for drying clothes, and a tea area, making me feel right at home. The only inconvenience was the shower area being separated by a non-floor-length shower curtain; water would often spill everywhere after showering.

The overall decoration is very textured, whether it is indoors or outdoors, it is very filmed. The whole space is clean, the light and shadow are gentle, and it comes with a high-end feeling of silence filters. No matter how you shoot, it looks good. Environment: The surrounding environment is nice; it seems to be in the county center, with plenty of restaurants and shops just downstairs, which is very convenient. Service: The front desk staff are very welcoming and professional, answering all my questions. They even proactively introduced local folk customs, such as when and which villages hold deity processions. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and spacious. I originally booked a standard double room, but I was very grateful for the free upgrade to a deluxe double room. The hotel also has free parking, which is very convenient for guests like us who are traveling by car. The restaurant on the second floor offers local specialties, but the only downside is that it gets extremely busy during the Spring Festival; you can't get a table without advance booking. Although prices increased during the Spring Festival, overall it was still acceptable, and the price-performance ratio was good.

Breakfast serves local seasonal vegetables, self-grinding soy milk, homemade tofu, alpine milk, etc. The quality is very good. There is a ”fog” cafe next to the Chinese restaurant, the cliff coffee shop. When the weather was good that day, the scenery outside the cafe was beautiful at 4pm. There was no place inside the shop, but the terrace outside the shop had a better view. It was already the local most bourgeois internet celebrity check-in coffee shop. . The hotel has its own large parking lot, next to the national highway, and the transportation is convenient. It's still very quiet and not noisy at night. There is a large tea room on the right side of the front desk with three large tea tables. There are many elegant collections displayed around it. The environment is very relaxing and open to guests for free tea. We stayed for two nights and went out to play during the day and in the evening. After dinner, reading and chatting in the tea room, listening to the sound of rain and the sound of frogs, is very healing and relaxing. There are many interesting and beautiful places under Zhou Ning. In addition, the air is good and the water is good. The altitude is more than 800 meters. It is one of the few alpine towns along the coast. It is good for vegetables, food and tea. Fenggu Shanju should be the best local B&B hotel.

It was difficult to find, basically it’s a door between two stores and there’s no reception. You need to add their wechat, and ask for the main door password, then you take the elevator up and open the door with the password on the electric key lock. The place is new and modern, it had a washing machine and a fridge too. Please note that towels not provided, only a one time use thin towel in a plastic bag. The price is really good, so definitely recommend it.

Hotel location is ok, cleanliness of the room is good, every day the towel is changed and bathroom clean up. An point to note: the smoking room and NON-smoking room must clearly marked. It was unpleasant for a non-smoker to rest in a smoker room. The hotel cafe has been closed since Aug 2024.

The hotel is very close to Taimushan Bus Station, just a short walk away. It only costs about ten yuan to take a taxi from the high-speed rail station, which is very convenient. (I had to take the early high-speed train in the morning, so I specifically booked a hotel in the town. After a long time of selection, Liansheng was a very cost-effective choice). The room is large, with standard equipment and spacious bathroom facilities. The towels were very thick, and the shower water volume was not large. Maybe a group of guests had just checked in, which affected the water volume, but the water temperature was high and it didn't seem to be affected. There were no disposable slippers in the room, but I was prepared and did not ask the front desk. The bathroom is equipped with a retractable mirror for makeup and a rattan basket for used towels (usually only available in four-star hotels), which surprised me. The front desk staff are very friendly. The attitude of domestic service industry staff has changed a lot. I have stayed in dozens of hotels in the past six months. The attitude of the service staff (whether front desk or cleaning and maintenance staff) is very friendly. It is different from what it was 20 or 30 years ago. Not quite the same. This is very worthy of recognition.

When I was struggling with what to eat, I found that the takeaway store was very close to the hotel. It was just opposite Wanda Plaza. I drank milk tea for two days and a lot of taro pastries. It was a big satisfaction for my taro head. I will stay here next time.
