The facilities were good and the hostel provided a fridge, stoves and cooking utensils. The room and the toilets were most of the time clean. Each was provided with one big locker. The windows could not be completely closed and the room was facing a busy street. Location surrounding is crap. I went by navigator with a suitcase from central railway station about 15 min because the roads are not for suitcases, cracked pavement everywhere. It’s better to take a car or tram 1 for 2 stops from railway. It’s really apartment in a crap residential building. 3rd floor (like 4tth) without a lift with narrow stairs with no lighting in the evening. You don’t see where insert 3 keys in locks (3doors to enter). My room faced the noisy busy road. There 2 rooms inside, looks nice, no microwave, but clean. Area looks dangerous in the evening. Owner lady is nice and helpful. She tries to do her best!

Lady on the desk was very nice although we were charged $24 Aud per night extra for a cleaning fee that was not disclosed when we booked. We had no idea why we were charged this fee upon arrival. They should be more transparent with the costs. Although we paid for breakfast it was not available as the cafe they used was closed for the holidays & we were not offered any alternative so more money wasted.
