CClarissaVery nice hotel, excellent service. Only problem we had was room cleaning was very late in the day. Ours would not have been finished until after 5. We asked and they did do it earlier .other than that is was an  excellent stay.

TTiliangdarenThe location is great, right on the seaside promenade, a five-minute walk from the bus and train stations. It's a typical North American hotel with a very high-quality feel.

OoooyanI have never stayed in such a speechless hotel... I stayed for a total of six days. The fire alarm went off three mornings, whether it was weekends or weekdays, and each time it was around nine o'clock... The fire alarm lasted for 20 minutes, and the hotel did not have any explanation, just saying it was a false fire alarm. I don't believe that there could be three false fire alarms in six days? ? ? The hotel does not care about the rest and sleep of the customers at all. The time of each alarm was almost the same, and it went off every other day, as if it was intentional. In addition, I also found in Google reviews that the fire alarm went off frequently and lasted for a long time. So don't book this hotel if you can. The room is very small and not very quiet. The bar downstairs lasts until about two in the morning on weekends, which is extremely noisy. A deposit of 20 Canadian dollars is collected every night

IihugWe had a very bad experience with this hotel. When we arrived we asked the staff at front desk about car parking and we were told that there was no parking space and we had to go looking for an off street parking ourselves. We had a long time driving and this was the first time to Halifax and everything was new to us. How could we handle this issue? However, the staff seemed it was not a big issue and even not willing to give any more details about off street parking. I couldn't believe this thing happen at such a luxury hotel. We really don't recommend this hotel and will never come back again. Our experience at this hotel was terrible. When arriving to check in, we asked the receptionist at the front desk about parking and we were told there was not enough parking and we needed to find a street parking spot ourselves. We were exhausted from the long drive that day, and it was our first time in Halifax and was completely unfamiliar with everything here. How do we deal with this? However, the staff didn't seem to think it was a big deal, didn't express a single bit of apology, or even bothered to explain more details about on-street parking. We've stayed in many different hotels and we've never had this happen, I can't believe it could happen in such a luxury hotel. There are so many brand hotels in Halifax, why should I book your hotel, is it cheaper? We really do not recommend this hotel and will never come again.

GGuest UserBecause our flight was at 5am the next morning, we stayed at the hotel to take advantage of the early shuttle in the morning. However, the restaurant (The Hidden Gem) which is NOT owned/managed by the hotel was horrible. We were the only foursome other than a couple at another table. Whoever was in the kitchen must have been in la-la land as it took our food an eternity to arrive. Not sure of the name of our server but he kept forgetting whatever beverages we ordered included forgetting to bring water. Two of us took the Seafood platter, another took the Pan Seared Haddock and lastly, the Fish & Chips. The 2 of us that took the platter: vegetables were cold and so were the scallops & fries. The salad pieces were limp. Was NOT worth the price.

GGuest UserThe hotel chain we stayed in is located in Dartmouth. It takes about 10 minutes to cross the bridge from downtown Haffa, but this 10-minute drive can be much cheaper. The hotel is surrounded by apartments and is also close to Superstore. The surrounding area is safe and not noisy. The hotel has a total of 4 floors, with a lobby on the 1st floor and guest rooms on the 2nd to 4th floors. The guest rooms on the 2nd floor of the building are marked as the 1st floor. My room is 2XX, so it is actually on the 3rd floor. The large glass windows have a good view. The basic facilities in the guest rooms are old but sufficient. Parking is free and you can park at the door of the hotel, which is very convenient to enter and exit. The family room we booked has 2 large beds, which is suitable. The whole family slept well for two nights. When checking out, the Indian manager at the front desk also said that the price you booked on this APP is much lower than our price. It is true that Ctrip's price is better. I also compared another local APP that settled in US dollars at the time. It is indeed Ctrip's price is more favorable (maybe I have accumulated more credits because I have used Ctrip more). In short, it is a relatively pleasant accommodation experience with high cost performance.
