The only reason I am giving this resort a 2 star review is due to the fact that I had a makeup bag stolen from our hotel room, and there has been zero response from Sandals for closing in on a month. This was our honeymoon (Monday through the following Tuesday - 8 nights), and this was not a cheap vacation in the least. We noticed the makeup bag was missing on Friday when we got back to our hotel room to get ready for the evening (my makeup items never leave the bathroom and they were in a designated spot to stay organized), then proceeded to file a report with one of the security team members on Friday (4 days into our honeymoon). He was a very nice man who took the time to write down the report in detail, which we were thankful for. However, we were told we would hear back from someone in 24 hours. Well, 24 turned into 48, and 48 turned into 72, and then we had to leave to go home.. Another security team member met with us one hour before we had to leave the hotel on Tuesday and said that we would hear back within the month, and it is now June 1st and STILL nothing. They said they would check security cameras, run reviews through management, do their investigation, etc. and I know that doesn’t take an entire month to perform for something such as this. Given how much money my new husband and I spent to go there, it is entirely disappointing that I not only had to buy all new items when I got back from our honeymoon, but the fact that Sandals has done absolutely nothing to make it right. Advice to women traveling here, lock up your makeup bag in the safe because this resort will do NOTHING to compensate you if you have the unfortunate experience of being robbed of your personal items. This hotel chain makes millions in revenue and can’t even compensate us in ANY way for stolen property? We have been very nice as to the handling of this situation, and now we are downright irritated since it is clearly not being handled at all, hence this review. I had even sent the Sandals Rewards Team a message on the app, and still crickets. What kind of business is this?? Please note that we do not fault the concierge or the man from the security helping us to file the report because they were simply doing their jobs/going through the steps necessary to aid our situation, but we 100% fault the Sandals organization for not doing a THING to make this right for us in any way.
