Structure with simple furnishings, but absolutely in line with the price paid. Clean rooms, common baths clean a little date. The rooms are not air-conditioned (a ventilator is present on the ceiling), but since October it was very good. The owner was very professional and clear in the explanations. B&B often in the cause area comes back to night hours at the airport and this didn't seem bad. For a short stay, I advise you.

Booked this place as a very last minute hotel as we had a flight cancelled, and needed somewhere to book for the night that was close to the airport. It was self check in which is very continent and was all down very quick. Room was spacious a private bathroom (which was next door) was nice and big and clean. There was a little common room filled with drinks which you could leave money for which was a nice touch. And the biggest reason we chose this place was because of its location. The airport was a 5 minute walk from the accommodation !

After our EasyJet flight was cancelled we were unable to find anywhere to stay in Pisa so spent half the night on a sofa in a hotel reception area and half sitting at the railway station. My sister suggested Blue Shades who offer ‘day rooms’ and we were only too grateful to check in and grab some much needed sleep. The room was clean, spacious, had great blinds, en-suite bathroom and teeny hidden kitchen area - it was everything we needed and more! Morover even in sweltering heat it was an easy walk to the airport.

A wonderful place if you need to stay somewhere late at night after your flight🥺 Our flight was late, like - really really delayed and I was worried about our stay. The owner waited for us and welcomed us warmly, waiting for us to put our stuff down and calm down a bit. He showed us everything we needed to know, the place was quiet, we had some cold water to drink, prepared coffee for the morning and there was absolutely no problem for us to leave at 6.50 am as we needed to for our flight. The owner is extra nice, the place is very close to the airport and very nice- clean, there are towels, the breakfast is also great - you choose whatever you want to - there’s both cookies, chips, cereal, bread, pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Im just sorry we couldn’t stay longer and we needed to eat this in a hurry. We were a total mess that night (we were supposed to arrive at 12 am, we did nearly at 3 am, so we had just 3 hours of sleep left). Although, our stay was all we needed and we really enjoyed it. The area is also calm and pretty. Huge thanks to the owner and warm recommendation :) Również do turystów z polski, polecam bardzo ten obiekt, Pan był naprawdę wspaniały i nasz pobyt przebiegł bezproblemowo, milysmy wszystko czego nam trzeba. This is a little gem of a BnB! Walking distance from the airport, but don’t think it will be noisy as it was lovely quite at night. Room was a good size, clean, comfortable bed, had a fridge & balcony. Bathroom was across the corridor but was not shared. Shower was a good size plenty of hot water. Easy walking distance to the station & into Pisa centre. Good information from the owners, had the best pizza. Breakfast was very Italian, tasty, not lots of choice but enough. Fresh coffee & twining teabags! Would recommend

My reviews Pensión San Joaquín Granada 2,5 stars 8 / 10Eccellente The structure is very beautiful and characteristic, very special, but it certainly needs modernization and restoration works. The rooms (we had 206 and 207), however clean and with clean clothes, are old and rather essential, small bathrooms. The comfort of beds more than acceptable. On the ground floor there are two automatic sneakers and water and coffee and hot drinks. Overall, considering that the pension is located in the centre of Granada, that the reception (very family) is open 24 hours per 24 hours, that we stayed during Christmas (24-28 December) at EUR 29 per room (matrimonial with bathroom) So, at the price of a bedroom in a hostel with a common bathroom, I advise the pension to those who can also adapt a little while spending really little. The hotel has a very comfortable and quiet Covid prevention room. Available in the room machine for coffee, bottle of water and products packed for breakfast. Outside the room, refrigerator and microwave available to guests. Also the bathroom, though in common with other rooms, It is very clean and some accessories show great attention to guests (baby water reducer, dental debris and available cotton disks, together with cleaner-hygienic available with use and throw paper sausages). Michele is a person of a great kindness, available to provide useful information and guidance. By wishing, there is the possibility of parking the car in a small parking right next to the building, and if it was necessary to leave it parked for a few days, in our case Michele had offered to change

Stopped in this room for one night, the room is located in the hotel – apartment. Our room 4, was on the third floor equipped with its own shower. Four large beds. TV air conditioning as well as balcony. The hotel is close to the main attractions (2 km) The 100m free parking is available. I didn't like breakfast only, but it corresponds to the hotel level! Ps: If someone needs a grocery store is 50 m from the hotel, and there you can buy anything to eat. In the city of Pisa, you can do nothing but look at the tower, so you can stay for one day too in this hotel. Recommended! 👍

we stayed here for one night - it's an ok hotel, walking distance from the train station which was a priority for us. The rooms were clean and in reasonable order and the breakfast was good. The one issue for us was the noise of the elevator - we were in room 112 which is located next to the elevator shaft - it was noisy as the lift seemed to be operating throughout the night.

We stayed in the painting apartment for 1 night. The location is excellent, near the center and Tower, the Miracles Square. This is the only positive factor in this structure. For the rest of the dirty, cold room with heat out, smell of muffa and towels already found wet, no bidet. If you want to use the air conditioner as heating, the dust of 1900 .... You enter with numerical code but instead of investing in technology (to not have to check in and check out personally) you would be better pay more attention to the cleaning and the care of the room and invest in this sense. The quality ratio price is very bad. In the room attention to the very high degree that leads from the bedroom to the bathroom .... very dangerous

The hotel is perfectly located literally 2 minutes from The Leaning Tower. The street outside has plenty restaurants, supermarkets and small shops. Our room was on the first floor. Basic, but very clean with a small fridge and ensuite facilities. Also on the first floor is a small roof terrace where you can have breakfast or drinks overlooking the Tower. You can buy chilled beer, wine and soft drinks from reception. The staff are a real credit to the hotel: very friendly, courteous and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Franceso.

My wife and I stayed for two nights, a Friday and Saturday. We were unable to check in until 40 minutes after our room was supposed to be ready, check in was disorganised and the taxi we booked while checking in arrived 24 hours early at 5am with reception ringing us to wake us up. We went down to breakfast, arriving at 9.35am. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am. Hardly and food was left, just trays with crumbs where food had once been. No bread, no pastries, just a few bits of ham, salami and cheese and that was about it. Other people who arrived before us were also in the same situation. I gave up and went back to the room feeling disgruntled while my wife stayed and had a coffee and a few morsels, even the coffee was difficult to obtain. The hotel itself is interesting, but is in need of some TLC, the toilet was a bit smelly and the room was very tired looking. We had a room at the front overlooking the river. The air con worked ok so we were able to close the window and shutters to keep the street noise down but it was still quite noisy with traffic and the noise of people shouting etc until the early hours, to be fair it was the weekend so not entirely unexpected. Great location, but I get the feeling they rely on this and the history of the hotel to fill their rooms, simple complacency. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Cleanliness not great, such as stained upholstery on chairs. Would not stay there again. Overall disappointed, if I were you find somewhere else, too expensive for the standard of accommodation and service.

Villa Tower Inn

This hotel, now called Hotel Villa Tower Inn , is definitely a 3-star hotel -- as indicated in the Trip Advisor description here and NOT 4-star as suggested by their logo and promotions. I suppose it may be a decent 3-star hotel: quaint, near the only real attractions that draw you to Pisa, easy-to-find, with 24-hour reception, a mini-bar fridge, LCD TV, etc. I understand from some reviews that there are renovated rooms. Not 207, although the bathroom sports updated amenities. The paint is aging and the decor is ”charming” where charm stand-ins for ”subpar” like ”antique” stands-in for ”old.” The headboard has probably seen better days and seen many things. I say that because this is the ”Romantic” room. It's romantic because with more than one person in the room there is going to be a lot of touching--intended or not. The ceiling is very high: eyeballing it, the height of the room is easily 20% more than either its length or width. Continuing on the theme of odd perspectives and charm, there is an armour in the room. It is perfectly serviceable, though only Michael Jordan could use the top of the two clothes rods. It is 3” short of the 8' height of a basketball rim. (I measured.) How such a guest would fit for sleep is a whole other question... The room has what seems to be an anemic little A/C that turns out to be surprisingly up to the job at least through the night. It was so hot out this week that we hardly bothered to open the shutters (inside or out), except to note that the view from this room is of a wall and hospital parking area/park. I'm trying not to be too *****y because the hotel can't possibly live up to my expectations of a 4-star hotel. It shouldn't have to... unless, of course, its logo suggests that it has 4-stars.

Visited this place booked last minute due to other locations being in lock down. This place is brilliant. Nice located within 5 minutes walk of the tower and 10 minutes to the main shops. The premises is nice and clean and well presented. Spoke to Luca beforehand who only asked that we text him ahead to let him know what time we were arriving. Met by a very pleasant and knowledgeable receptionist who booked us in and proceeded to give us a map with recommendations of things to do which was very helpful. Also recommended a very nice restaurant I-Santi a few doors away which was brilliant and subject of a separate review. The room was large and had it’s own balcony with table chairs and other bits of furniture. The tower was viewable from the balcony photo attached. The added touch was the supplied breakfast the following morning which had a full continental choice. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again, well done to Luca and the team

This hotel is very well situated in Pisa. We arrived via the bus from Pietransina (after arriving from Bologna on Flixbus) and it was a short walk from the river with our suitcases. The room was nice and large. It was not noisy at all as the hotel is in a quiet piazza opposite the palace of justice. The staff were very friendly and the Aperol sprtitz is only 4Eur. The bed was super comfy and the room came with a fridge. The bathroom was good and had a hairdryer. All towels were changed daily. On leaving to go to the train station, the bus stop is two minutes away on the back of the palace of justice. Would definitely stay again.

Terrible hotel- dirty, leaks in the bathroom and horrendous staff. Only positive was the food was good. We asked to move rooms because there was a drilling tools exhibition outside our bedroom from 9-10pm whilst we were trying to sleep because Vueling airlines had canceled our flight and put us on a flight which required us to be collected at 3:45am the following morning. We were also told that the people running the exhibition had booked the hotel before us and could make noise until 12am. Staff like this will cause the hotel to have no more guests- good luck.

I booked this hotel after seeing another reviewer say that they stayed here as a solo female traveller and found it clean and safe. I would echo this reviewer's comments. I stayed here for five nights, and used Pisa as a base to travel to other places (namely Lucca, Firenze, and Siena) so wanted somewhere within a reasonable walking distance of the train station as I envisioned returning to the hotel when it was dark. I took the 'Pisa mover' shuttle from the airport to Pisa Centrale station (which cost €5 and took around 5 minutes), and then the walk to Hotel Bologna with my suitcase was in pretty much a straight line through the main square and down paved and well lit streets. It took around 7 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. I arrived at Hotel Bologna at around 10:00 and was able to leave my suitcase in a secure room (no charge) whilst I spent the day exploring Pisa. I came back around 18:00, collected my case, and formally checked in (although I could have checked in at 13:30) before heading out for dinner. Staff were mainly young and male, and were pleasant and spoke very good English. I was allocated room 16 which was on the first floor and overlooked the small car park and a patio area. There was no external noise apart from the odd aeroplane which cannot be helped anywhere in Pisa, although I imagine that (1) people might use the patio for drinks in better/warmer weather which would bother me if they were rowdy; and (2) people in the rooms which overlook the road at the front of the hotel (Via Giuseppe Mazzini) might experience a bit of traffic noise. The internal walls seemed quite thin and I suspect that the bathroom of the adjoining room was located right next to my bed as it was noisier than expected when they were having a shower and talking in the bathroom. However, luckily, the people next door weren't particularly noisy and showered at a reasonable time, so it didn't bother me per se. I stayed in a single room (single bed with en-suite) which was definitely big enough for just myself/did not feel cramped. The room was decorated in a more 'traditional Tuscan style' (think greens, reds, and golds) so not particularly 'instagram worthy' but neither am I. The room and bathroom felt and were kept very clean by housekeeping, as were the bedding and towels. The bathroom contained a toilet, shower cubicle with sliding doors, bidet, sink with large mirror, tissue dispenser, sanitary bag dispenser, toilet brush, bin with lid, and hairdryer. You receive complimentary shampoo, body wash, intimate wash, vegetable based soap bar, shower cap, and shoe sponge. In the bedroom there is another bin and a desk and chair with large mirror. Underneath the desk is a mini fridge containing a range of drinks and snacks, which I removed and instead used the fridge to store my own food and drink which I purchased from a Carrefour Express minimart which was a circa 5 minute walk away near the main shopping street. Stayed here for 1 night in August to see Pisa before flying home after a wedding holiday, and we honestly could have stayed for a week. It was perfect to be able to relax and decompress after a busy trip in such an impressive hotel with pool grounds on the edge of Pisa. It was easy to get in and out of the centre of Pisa, the walk was fine in the day (you do have to use an underpass but plenty of other people are also using it). At night we opted for taxis, the underpass had a bit to do with this but also it was just easier for us all dressed for dinner. Our room honestly felt like luxury, this place is an absolute gem for those who want a high standard hotel whilst seeing Pisa. would 10000% recommend. Only criticism - the roof is underused. There's a disused bar that's completely empty and a handful of seats. We couldn't believe this as it was absolutely beautiful at sunset. They could definitely utilise this more to give the hotel that extra wow factor. We'd have definitely made us of it if it were running.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and we sincerely enjoyed it. It is an old building but the rooms have everything you need. Spacious bathroom, good beds, smart tv, fridge, kettle etc. We only had minimal contact with staff as this is a small hotel and thus staff is not available for the whole day, but the little contact we had, the staff was courteous and most helpful. the hotel lies in a very central part of Pisa with close proximity to airport and train station. The only thing one has to be aware of is that there is no lift so its usually one or two flights of stairs to one's room. All in all, very satisfied.

The structure is located in a central position, two steps from the middle bridge and Borgo Stretto, with so much to be seen in the immediate vicinity. This is an old apartment dedicated to well and better with a reception structure, because the only negative note is no sound-soiled rooms and bathrooms, so there is little privacy and can be easily disturbed in case of noise neighbors. For the rest excellent experience and beyond expectations: flat on the third floor with lift, check in quick self-catering, even though having a warmer reception would be preferable. Finally: a sober but clean room, with the bonus of the balcony with a beautiful view of the Arno! I was a little titubeous in using common baths, given the covid period, but they were overall very clean, as well as numerous: 3 baths, Of which two with shower. It also excellent coffee machine with the dishes available to guests. Overall, very good structure, mainly suitable for young people or guests with greater adaptability, but in this sense excellent quality-price ratio, given affordable prices.

Don’t be fooled by the photos. But in fact, when I arrived in the room, it turned out that the photo was taken and it felt very dirty...Because it is an old building, the wall is that kind of old wall, so it looks dirty, but it is actually the texture of the wall...The interior inside is very beautiful The lamps and tables all have old European style and are very comfortable. The front desk is also very standardized, all dressed in suits, very polite and friendly, and good English. The most beautiful is the top of the hotel room, which has a bit of the feeling of a wooden house on the Norwegian side, because it may be an old house with wooden beams rebuilt, but it looks better. The hot water in the bath is also very hot. There is no elevator. We have a lot of boxes. The front desk changed us to a low-floor room~ and the heating seems to be turned off in the middle of the night. Many hotels here seem to be like this in order to save costs but it will not be cold at night. The breakfast is also quite rich, it is a normal continental breakfast, basically all.

I am a little baffled by some of the great reviews on here. There are either two hotels with the same name in the city or the place has two different style rooms for people to give full marks. My review is genuine and honest based on our experience with room 113. I booked this place based on the reviews and pictures shared by the hotel. Unfortunately they are somewhat misleading. First things first, I have so much to say but will keep it brief…I have also already shared my feedback with the lady at reception during check-out. We only stayed one night. I’m a strong believer that feedback should always be shared with the place you’re staying in first before taking to the keyboard. Now…my review: Throughout my years of traveling, I’ve seen some better hostels than this 2 star “hotel”. It is not a hotel, full stop. The building itself shows so much potential and history but unfortunately the owners have not renovated or upgraded the place in what seems like 30+ years. I paid €190 for one night stay and it did not feel like a genuine booking. Based on my experience, no more than €50 should be charged. The room was below basic with just a bed and a tv that held a few Italian channels. The furniture, floor tiles and wall paint had serious wear and tear. The bathroom hand towels were, what looked like, kitchen towels and the bedroom duvet did not appear fresh and clean. The toilet smelled of what I would imagine a sewage plant smelled on the inside. There is a serious need to upgrade their plumbing. It’s a concerning health and safety matter! It was beyond disgusting and I had to decide to not use the shower or use the sink water in fear of unclean water due to their plumbing issue. I used my own bought bottle water. I had to hold my nose while using the toilet as the stench was unbearable. The garden was also not accessible. It was closed off which means, apart from your room, you had nothing. When I gave the feedback to the lady, she became defensive but did not appear surprised. My invitation to come upstairs and smell the horrendous plumbing/ toilet, was declined twice. She did say that they’re planning to renovate later this year…it remains to be seen if this is true. I hope they do because, as mentioned at the start, the building itself has so much potential. Overall, would not stay here again, I felt ripped off with €190 price tag and the poor state of the accommodation. Pisa has many places, you have choices.

Perfect location close to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, or family really enjoyed our stay. Food and staff at the restaurant was superb and the Pizza was amazing! The pool and bar was convenient and again we enjoyed cooling off in the pool after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. Happy with our mobile home.

I've stayed a mid-week in the hotel together with my two kids. We've had a room that was spacious enough for the three of us! It's a small hotel with 6 rooms and is located on a lovely square in the city centre of Pisa. The room was pleasant and with comfortable beds. The room has double windows and is well isolated; so we weren't bothered by the noise at night. Since we've booked through the hotel's website, breakfast was included. The neighborhood is safe and close to plenty of good, affordable restaurants. Since Pisa is very small, all sights are within walking distance (e.g. tower 10 min, train station 15 min). It's about a 10km walk to see the main sights of the city Pisa is also an excellent city to discover Tuscany. Lucca is a 30 min ride, while Florence is about 60 min away with the train. Cinque Terre is also within reach, but will take you 1,5hr bij train. We would definitely stay again at this hotel! And a perfect place to discover the beauty of Tuscany!

If you are interested in seeing the major attractions in Pisa this hotel is the place to be. A very quaint hotel. The inside could use a bit of refurbishing however the staff is so friendly and helpful that this aspect becomes less important. Good Italian breakfast. Felt like home.

First we were suppose to be accommodated in different room - the one I choose in the picture at booking.com. There was nobody in the reception - I went there twice. Phone was not working. So then we decided to went outside and rang the bell - so we basically lured the receptionist from his hideout. We had to wait one night and then they moved us, but if we wouldn't say anything nobody would take care of it or apologise for it. There were also missing slipers in the room - next day we got flip flops - not really nice if you are staying there in winter. The whirlpool smelled like a sewer first time we wanted to used it - just disgusting. There was also a lot of noise not only coming from the street thru the windows, but we could hear our neighbours as well. I put a few dirty towels on the floor to be collected by cleaning lady - I found out she just folded them and put between the others we were still using. During five days we got shampoo and shower gel only once. Last day when we were leaving we asked for the taxi to the airport - the receptionist told us that probably they will be busy - he didn't check anything just said this - when we went there back to picked upt our suitcases we asked him again and he said there is no taxi today :D - he could at least try to call other company or whatever. For the money I have spend and considering the fact it is 4 stars hotel - I was expecting much more better service and at least some good will and an effort to make your clients happy.

I stayed in this b&b with my companion and my child. We start from the points for: - hotels in the center of Pisa, within the walls and two steps from the places to visit - private parking for payment (of course outside would cost us much more) - friendly and available staff (if you arrive after 12 p.m., leave the keys attached to the door of the room and send you all the instructions to enter) - room with fresh ceilings and large bathrooms (to reconstruct at least the bathroom) Points in the wrong way: - very hard bed - breakfast at a bar nearby cause legal covid - we assume we didn't change the towels on the second day because we found them hang and not folded as clean rooms Unfortunately the rooms are not soundless. We had a room that was going on the road and the noise felt very much, then there were also other guests who were going to beat in, out and walking through the building. All over two days in Pisa went more than well; having the baby, we had to find a structure near the center if we needed to return for a pannolin or the papa immediately.

We stayed as a last minute booking and what a find it was! Just a 10 minute walk from the station. Our flight landed in the evening, but they arranged for self check-in which was nice and easy and communicated through WhatsApp. Rooms was spacious, felt high-end and clean, great breakfast provided in the room which we sat on the balcony and enjoyed. Would definitely come back if visiting Pisa
