The Inn at Stockbridge

We had a lovely stay. The room was very nicely renovated while keeping the charm of the old inn. We stayed in the Guidled Stage and the .shower was as spectacular! We had a great breakfast! Of course, the highlight was meeting the Uber-friendly Brutus. He was waiting at the stairs landing for guests to come out. Best concierge ever!

This place is wonderful. Clean and comfortable and spacious. We met Gary the owner who went above and beyond to help us find a great place for dinner and continued to extend his hospitality. The amenities were amazing. Very very comfortable. Breakfast was out of this world We will Most certainly be back. Thank you Gary

My husband and I escaped the "real world" for a few days, and the Inn at Stockbridge was the perfect place to do so. Service, breakfast, the room (we stayed in the Main Hose in the Apple Blossom Room) and hospitality all top notch. Gary and Nicole are beyond accommodating and treated every guest like a personal friend. One of the highlights for me was spending time with their dog Brutus in the evening! 100% recommend and looking forward to going back!

We're disappointed that we were just passing through and couldn't stay longer. We certainly need to come back! The innkeepers went out of their way to be welcoming and the introduction to Brutus was entertaining. We unfortunately had to skip breakfast as well but that's part of the reason to want to return. The Melville Room was fantastic! They accommodated both our dog and our electric car, which were huge decision points for us. We're already talking about a return trip.

My recent stay at The Inn at Stockbridge left much to be desired. The outdated decor and subpar service were disheartening, but what truly marred the experience was the unmistakable stench of cigarettes that permeated the entire place. The room, in addition to being outdated, reeked of stale smoke, creating a thoroughly unpleasant atmosphere. Despite raising the concern with the staff, there was no noticeable effort to address the issue. For a supposedly charming inn, this was a major letdown. I strongly caution against booking a stay here, especially for those sensitive to odors or expecting a clean, smoke-free environment.

Spent an overnight at the Inn at Stockbridge and had a wonderful time. Everything about this Inn was perfect. Convenient, centrally located to most area attractions; we stayed in the Rockwell Suite (Barn) and couldn't have been nicer. Very large, clean, comfortable room with gas fireplace, small fridge, and jacuzzi. Small walk out deck provided ability to capture beautiful night sky. Pleasantly surprised, room was much larger than appeared in the photos. Breakfast was fantastic and Gary and his wife were very accommodating and gracious. My girlfriend and I would definitely visit again.

My boyfriend and I went up to the Berkshires for a weekend in October to see the fall foliage and enjoy some great restaurants in town. We stayed in the Blagdon room, which exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious, and its sitting area and fireplace were perfect for us to enjoy a late-night scrabble game. The breakfast they serve here is so impressive--the first morning, they served us fruit cups and granola with delicious challah french toast, and the second morning they served us eggs benedict on freshly baked biscuits. They also bake these AMAZING scones (perfectly soft and fluffy) and cookies, and a great selection of coffee and tea is available 24/7. It was my boyfriend's first time staying here, but I've been going for a few years now. Every time the experience has been wonderful, and we both found the price to be very reasonable considering all the inn has to offer. Highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights when inn was booked full. We stayed in the main house. The house is lovely. It is about 5 -7 min drive to Lenox or the shops of Stockbridge though it is a dark somewhat narrow road at night (we aren’t from the region). It’s a good location from which to explore the Berkshires. The house has many welcoming touches( drinks, cookies, Halloween candy) and was very clean. Our room was in great condition and very clean though not overly spacious (though we didn’t feel cramped). Good quality towels and linens and comfortable bed were appreciated. Breakfast was a different dish of the day and was nicely done. I did notice mild highway traffic noise while in common rooms but not from our private room. So overall happy with our stay. I would emphasize though that in spite of its name this is a bed and breakfast rather than an inn. By that I mean this is a couple with a family living on the property so if you arrive after 6 you let yourself in with a code. Our second night after requesting a “room tidy” we discovered we only had half bottle( those annoying hotel size that are minuscule) of shampoo and not enough bath wash either. They do provide a cell you can text but since I always pack my own toiletries for times like this I didn’t feel it necessary to text the owner at 10pm. At an inn I would have just gone to the front desk( recommend they follow the hotel trend of mounting full size dispensing bottles in the shower stall). Also we texted ahead of our visit for some guidance on road trips for leaf peeping since we aren’t from New England and never heard back. We didn’t go to the wine and cheese receptions and were mostly gone during the day but my sense in our limited interaction was this was a couple setting very clear boundaries. That’s not a criticism per se but if you come in hoping for a lot of interaction with your host this isn’t a good choice. We didn’t really care and would be happy to stay there again though there appear to be other good options in the area to try as well

We were 2 couples visiting the Berkshires for the first time. Chose Inn at Stockbridge based on reviews. Didn’t disappoint! We arrived a day after a big snowstorm and loss of power. New owners are renovating the main house so upgraded us to The Barn. We stayed in the Rockwell room - large, spacious, king bed, sofa bed, rocking chair, electric fireplace, armoire with TV, fridge, Keurig coffee maker. Balcony with 2 chairs and table. Large bathroom with shower stall, garden tub, toilet behind door, heater on ceiling. Very quiet even though party next door had a large dog. Barn is located at the back of the property, behind the pool, next to the gym. Gym has brand new equipment, still being unwrapped. No keys to the room - private code. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Brutus, resident bulldog, gave me a warm welcome. Breakfast is delicious - offering a daily special or eggs cooked to order, plus yogurt, fresh fruit, juices. High end coffee machine in the dining room available at any time - latte, cappuccino, espresso with frothed milk. Cookies or muffins available. Fridge with full size canned soda and water. Pebble ice available too. Daily happy hour with white and red wine and cheese and crackers. We sat in the living room one night and played a Sinatra album on the turntable. Hardwood floors were being redone on day 2 so happy hour was delivered to our room. Driveway isn’t paved so it’s a bit bumpy in the snow. Definitely give the Inn a try - very convenient to Stockbridge, Lee, Lenox and Great Barrington.
