Arlia Sands Apartments

A very clean comfortable modern looking upstairs unit with a balcony for outdoor dining etc.We stored our bikes on the balcony for security so a bonus .Reasonably priced for the location and quality of the unit ..Close to the Esplanade/Beach and all that is on offer.. We would definitely return to stay at some stage ..Access to the upstairs units is via stairs ..My wife and I would have preferred to have been made aware of the evacuation procedures given that it was an upstairs area and from what I could establish only exits were two stairways either end of the block and it's potentially a long way to either exit if there was an evacuation ..But I stand corrected if that isn't the case .Parking for a vehicle per unit is great ..

The Apar**ent was adequate but tired and in need of updating. Some spots hadn't been cleaned properly eg cobwebs round the window in the bathroom and door bottoms. We had to kill roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. This was compensated for by the warm welcome, the great location and the especially helpful manager.

Unclean and poor service. My sisters and I (and our families) travelled across Queensland to share a very important birthday milestone. Upon check I quickly noticed that the unit appeared it had not been cleaned, tables and floors with food on them, all dishes dirty and had to be washed before use. My sisters who has their own apar**ent the same problem (and bonus cockroaches and ********** in bathroom and kitchen). My sister told the manager who apologise and sent the cleaner who handed over bait and did not clean anything. We enjoyed a swim in the pool and went took a family meal on bbq until we noticed bbq filthy and maggots underneath and in bin. Not to mention maggots in larger bins near our room and today maggots on the stairs! Management clearly did not care too much and made no effort to fix anything. Don’t waist your money here, a lot of disappoin**ent for all.

Extremely spacious 2 bedroom apar**ent with a large balcony, full kitchen and living area. Very deceiving from the outside as it looks like a tiny motel room but inside it's amazing. Quiet area.

The stay was alright. But kitchen intensials was dirty. Once the toiletpaper, laundry liquid, washing up detergent was empty. You HAVE to buy your own. The lady was at our door telling us fo departure right on 10.00am and i DIDNT see her do it anyone else on there stay.

A full roll of toilet would of be great to start with not less than a 1/4 of roll

The location of Arlia Sands is terrific, close to the beach and esplanade for a nice walk. The aircon and fans worked well for the Qld climate. Upon check-in the reception smelt like strong cigarette smoke which was off-putting. The room needs some TLC to get it comfortable. The curtain rod looks like it is about to fall down at any time, the phone on the wall had no dial tone to ring reception, wifi didn't work (unhappy teenager) and the exhaust fan in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in a long time - very fluffy. I had to buy pillows from the local shops as they were so uncomfortable and the lamp in both bedrooms had their lampshades fall off - just balancing on the base. All in all, this was a nice quiet complex within close proximity to the beach. I would stay again, but hopefully management spends some time on maintenance.

This property is in a convenient location. Roomy, great kitchen. Bigger pillows would be a bonus. Bed was comfortable but pillows too flat.

Our stay was ok. Rooms are tired. Beds were old and uncomfortable. Couch was dirty. Had enough cooking facilities. Kids went in the pool then had a shower so their towels were saturated, I asked for another couple of towels and was told that because it was a short stay (2 nights) and we booked through ******* she couldn't give us any as it would cost them money. We could pay $30 for more, hire pool towels or wash the ones we had and pay for the washing machine and dryer.
