Hotels near Linwudong (South Gate 1) in Suzhou

The free hanfu experience was disappointing. There was no enthusiasm or any attempt to promote the services. Initially I was keen on the add-on make-up experience but did not have the confidence to take it up seeing the lack of motivation from the service staff, who were busy on their phones most of the time. We had breakfast at the Rui noodle house. The food was so-so compared to everything else we tried in Suzhou. However i am rating Pan Pacific 5 stars as the above are not directly controlled (I assume) by the hotel. The hotel’s service staff were warm and helpful. They arranged for a room with a fantastic view of the Panmen Scenic Area. Also, we received a surprise dessert/birthday treat in the room with a sweet note. Derrick at the front desk was especially helpful and proactive with solving a payment issue we had with food delivery and arranging for late checkout. Thank you! We also appreciate the tickets and access to the Panmen area. It was super lovely to enjoy all it had to offer at a leisurely pace without the crowds at some other scenic areas. All in all a wonderful stay and we would be most confident to recommend Pan Pacific Suzhou to family and friends.

Love this cute little hotel! The lobby doubles as a bakery so u might miss it when looking at street level, but the hotels name is in large font on the building itself ! It’s to the right of Suzhou Bank. We booked the loft room and had a very pretty unblocked view 😊 The toilet is glass and can be seen from the upper loft level so that’s a bit award when you’re showering or using the toilet 😅

The room was extremely clean and nice. I really love the design, and the amenities were superb too! The location of this hotel is 10/10. It's right at Exit2 of Suzhou metro line 4 & 1. (I walked to the wrong Home Inn, silly me!) Very convenient to visit all Suzhou landmarks. I wish I had more time and will definitely come back. Hotel staff were willing to help out, special thanks to Manager Bai for the help my booking. Nice lobby with nice laundry area and cute little robot. :) All in all, my stay was pleasurable!

Completely unexpected surprise, the luxury of the off-season week experienced. The whole courtyard is elegant and elegant, with birds and flowers, thanks to the blue and white belly sparrows in front of each door. The rooms are classical and elegant, modern and well integrated, and the floor heating and air conditioning facilities have everything. Not to mention the two best butlers (Huahualili) let us experience the intimate care of the moon. Want to come back again!

Really popular old hotel, lots of people. Staff spoke English (which is not the norm in China). The hotel has a “theme”, not sure which theme it is (😂), but at least is not a copy-paste business hotel. Latin music was playing in the lobby. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Lots and lots of options. From rabbit candy to pork buns. The best thing is that it is included for free. The not so good part: room shows the age of the hotel. A bit dusty in some areas, bathroom door didn’t fully close. Leaving a considerable gap. My girlfriend and I had to take turns to use the toilet comfortably, but we were there only one night so it wasn’t a deal breaker. We got a really really good deal for the one night + breakfast, so I feel that its short comings can be excused.

Overall, this is a very cost-effective hotel with an excellent location. If you take the above two points as your primary consideration, I highly recommend it. If you are more concerned about hygiene, you need to think twice. environment: The location is extremely advantageous, adjacent to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang Road, and surrounded by the Lion Grove and Couple Garden. Subo is about a 10-minute walk away. There are so many historical sites in Suzhou that you can visit everywhere. However, because this place is located in the old city, vehicle traffic is extremely congested and it is almost slower than walking, so it is recommended to travel on two legs. It is not recommended to ride a bicycle casually, because it is likely that you will not be able to find a place to return the bicycle... When entering, remember to enter through the front door. The inconspicuous back door has a large threshold and is very unfriendly to suitcases. facility: The room is fully stocked and of good quality. The tea bags are from tea. The hand sanitizer is super easy to use and washes hands without drying them out. However, the soundproofing of the old house is really poor. You can hear any movement in the corridor clearly, and even the quarrel downstairs makes you immersed in the scene. The strange thing is that it doesn't affect the conversation next door, so it can be considered quiet at night (if no one is walking around outside). health: In fact, this overall building is a very old building, and the overall light is relatively dark, so that it is an old house, and it always looks like it is harboring filth and people and practices, which makes people uncomfortable. The hygiene in the hotel is relatively poor. Every place that can be seen is clean on the surface, but in invisible places, such as in the paper towel tube and under the pillow, there may be traces left by unknown residents. Serve: Although there are some shortcomings in hardware, they are very serious about service. Except for a girl at the front desk who was in a bad mood every day and had a bad face, everyone else was very friendly. They even gave me a silk scarf when I checked out. I heard that I felt the experience was average and offered a discount as an apology. FOOD: There doesn't seem to be any catering at his house. There are a lot of places to eat downstairs, so I don't recommend them at all! ! ! Go straight out of the gate and cross the road on the left for about 5 minutes. There is a ”127 Private Kitchen” with good food. You can eat and eat noodles at affordable prices. Remember not to buy from the Guixiang Village downstairs, it’s a big pit! Very unpalatable! ! ! !

Struggled a bit to find the hotel entrance but had help from Chinese locals, they saw with my facial expression and luggage that I'm looking for the hotel (Tip) after you see SF office at the corner, continue straight till you see boom gates, walk around the gates and straight, you will see the entrance or at the corner of Bank (red Bank, forgot name) again use the boom gates and you will see the hotel. Balcony is cute but one chair concept, I don't understand. Not alot of place to store my personal belongings and mirror for makeup wasn't convenient for me. Otherwise easy check in and check out process. Very close to both, Suzou Station and Industrial Station. And they have hotel wines, would have love to tasted them but had alot going on (not sure if they free) but there are welcome drinks and snacks in the room

酒店位置很好，停車場很大，大廳味道很好聞，裝修也很有感覺。前天的小姐姐小哥哥服務態度都很熱情。房間設施也很齊全，還有語音控制，完全不輸市區四五百的酒店，性價比超高

Housekeeping was really thoughtful. Saw that we bought bottles of water from a convenience store. When we came back after our tours, they refilled our rooms with bottles of water and left a note. Really appreciate the initiative! Location is excellent. Easily accessible. Near Pingjiang road. Fairly walkable to other Suzhou tourists spots, if not, there is a metro station nearby. Most of the reception staff dont speak english, but it was not much of a problem.

Located right in the middle of Shantang street which is a main tourist attraction, hotel entrance was easy to find as well. Room was quiet even though it’s right by the tourist street. Accessible via metro, but will need to walk about less than 10 minutes through a pebbled stone street - will recommend to reach slightly earlier in the day, as the street can get VERY crowded at night especially on weekends/peak periods, which will make it challenging to navigate with luggage.
