Hotel opened less than a year ago. Everything is new and the design is very modern. Location is in the middle of Shinjuku so it was close to everything. The hotel staff was very attentive and the connection between the lobby (on the 18th floor) to the concierge in the ground floor was always in sync. Breakfast at the main hotel had a great view for a nice clear day but selection is limited. They have a second buffet in their neighbour hotel (17th floor) that has more selection. I would not really recommend this hotel for younger kids due to its design but overall great hotel.

Fantastic hotel in prime location in Shinjuku. We stayed on the Grand Premier levels which includes a really nice lounge with snacks and drinks and a private dining room which has a gorgeous breakfast of both western and eastern choices. LOVED breakfast. It's a huge hotel but has a huge staff to run it. Our room was large, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Best part is that Keio Plaza is on the Limousine Bus stop route but we didn't want to wait an hour for the next one from Haneda Airport so took the bus that stopped at Shinkjuki Station and it was truly a 5 minute walk from where the bus dropped us off. Get off the bus and turn left and walk straight and you will see the hotel. That easy. Taxis are inexpensive and plentiful in Tokyo. We had 4 people in our group and often it was worth it just to take taxis vs. the train but the train system was easy and the location to our hotel couldn't be beat.

We were looking forward to return to Hyatt Regency because we enjoyed our stay back in December 2019 but was surprised to learn that the complimentary shuttle bus service was discontinued. We end up walking from Shinjuku station to the hotel. Again, we were informed by the reception that the Japanese breakfast was not available anymore due to the effect of the pandemic. I wanted to take a swim the following morning before heading out and was surprised to learn that the swimming pool was also closed. I might not stay in this hotel anymore next time since several of the service and facilities that were there before were removed.

Rooms have everything you need and is a good alternative to a capsule hotel for a similar price, but with more room and privacy. I've been using Toyoko Inn hotel chain for many years and they are an excellent choice for travelers looking for a simple and real Japanese experience. This is a business hotel chain so don't expect anything fancy, but if you want to experience a bit of salaryman kind of experience, go for it. The value for money is unbeatable in my opinion. The check-in is late also for Japanese standards (4pm if you are not a member) so you might want to apply for a card membership online in advance. Members can check in at 3pm. Bear in mind that they are rather strict with this, so if you arrive earlier, leave your bags and explore Shinjuku. The single room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, plus they offer free toiletries and nightgowns in the reception area. The room also comes with a kettle, a fridge and a safe. Unfortunately, I booked quite late so I ended up with a smoking room although I asked to spray it. However, you can still smell it. If you are a smoker that might be convenient for you (especially if you come from Europe where smoking rooms are a memory of the past). The bed was comfortable with a straw pillow which can be hard for someone who is used to feather pillows. Location: This hotel's location is very convenient, situated just a short walk from the metro shinjuku gyoen mae train station, not too far from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku kabukicho, but in a relatively calm area. It's a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku kabukicho (5 minutes by train) and there are a few restaurants nearby. Breakfast: complimentary breakfast which is a simple Japanese breakfast made by two energetic ladies with a generous offer of onigiri, sausages, scrambled eggs, miso soup, sweet bread, coffee etc. You can also take this back to your room in a box provided there if you don't want to eat in the lobby. Overall, I highly recommend Toyoko Inn to anyone looking for a budget-friendly, comfortable, and japanese business hotel style place to stay in Japan. The hotel offers excellent value for money and the location is great if you like a quieter place near the hustle and bustle.

For my first trip to Tokyo I knew I wanted to stay in Shinjuku and I wanted ton stay in a capsule hotel. This was great. It is a proper capsule hotel with rows of cubbyhole bunks. Quite comfortable and I had no issues with noise. You get a locker for your stuff, bedding, PJs, slippers, some toiletries, a towel...everything you need. The bathrooms were big and well equipped. Breakfast was included but it was in a separate building somewhere and I never bothered to go find it. I just got a tin of coffee from the vending machines on the kitchen floor. The wifi was good. There is a weird thing where you sort have to check out for a bout 4 hours each day, but I could leave my bag in the locker and I had the same bunk, so it wasn't a big deal. The place, despite being on an upper floor of a tower is easy to find (I used maps.me) and it is just a couple mis form the train station. I thought it was awesome and would definitely stay there again.

I have forgotten to write about this accommodation experience, so I will make it up today! The location of the hotel is good. When you get off the plane that day, take the airport express and transfer to the subway, and you will be there in about 15 minutes on foot. There is no problem with Google navigation. This time I came to Tokyo alone to visit the 59th All Japan Model Exhibition. I went around in Tokyo by the way. The location of Shinjuku is very good. It is convenient to go everywhere, so I chose Shinjuku as my positioning when I booked the hotel. . The check-in was very smooth. The check-in form that was printed in advance was shown to the front desk staff and it was processed smoothly. The language is not a barrier, just a simple English conversation. The translation software in the mobile phone is also a good choice. The room is not very big, but the facilities are complete. It is enough for me to come alone. The bed is not hard and all kinds of bedding are very clean. I specially took a picture of the check-in notes for your reference. All in all, my staying experience was good this time, the service staff are very friendly, the surrounding environment is also good, there are 3 convenience stores within 100 meters of the hotel is very convenient.

My experience was a bit different than some other reviewers. Others referred to the peeling paint in the bath. My room musts have been remodeled (it was on the 5th floor) because it seemed newly done, and had a nice acrylic sort of covering on the walls. I stayed in a western room, and it had plenty of room as a single traveler. I especially liked the bath, as it had full Japanese bath facilities, including a wide variety of lotions and creams. The layout of the room was fine, with the toilet in a separate small room and the bath separate again from the sleeping area. The shower pressure was great, as is typical in Tokyo. I found the bed to be comfortable and the pillows were soft. My biggest gripe with the place is the wifi. For whatever reason, I found the wifi to drop constantly on my phone. My laptop security software gave me a warning of some outdated security settings on the hotel's wifi system, so I don't know if that was relevant or not. All I do know is that I found the wifi on my phone to be unreliable. In general, if you have a pocket wifi device for backup, this is a nicely-located, well-equipped budget choice near to Shinjuku.
