Wuzhen Guest House

Staying at 60 Jia, the host was super nice! The breakfast (especially the egg-fried rice) was delicious! Even much better than outside! The room was super clean! All the toiletries, like the toothbrushes, were really good quality! Wuzhen B&Bs are uniformly managed, so you can call after booking to request a specific room type!

The room was clean and well-equipped, and the mosquito net added a lovely ambiance that my child absolutely adored. The pickled vegetable and shredded pork noodles for breakfast were delicious. Staying right inside the scenic area was definitely a great experience.

The room has a unique character, and the environment is decent. The host is warm and welcoming, always responsive. The breakfast tastes quite good. Even though it's on the edge, it's relatively quiet. If you stay in a B&B in the middle of the scenic area, it might be very noisy at night.

We booked a standard room, which might seem a bit pricey at first glance, but it's actually great value for money. It included tickets for two adults and one child, and a hotpot meal at General's Mansion for two adults and one child. The location is excellent, very close to the bars and Huang Lei's 'Like Water, Like Time' restaurant, and it's convenient for boat rides. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious, and the service was thoughtful and attentive. The only minor drawback was the low water pressure on the second floor. Next time I'm here, I'll definitely stay in building 70 again! I didn't want to leave; it's a perfect place to unwind, a truly pleasant trip!

The B&B owner was very welcoming, and our stay was overall great. We left early for breakfast, and the owner specially set some aside for us. When we returned, they even made us fresh noodles and wontons, which was absolutely wonderful.

The headboard was uncomfortable. Since it was summer and hot, I spent most of the day resting in the room, but the headboard was tall and straight, making it very uncomfortable to sit against. Even with pillows, it didn't help as they were too soft and offered no support. My back ached and my neck hurt. There was a chair in the room, but it was one of those styles where you couldn't lean back comfortably. So, there was no comfortable place to sit and relax once I was back in the room.

We stayed in Room 37 at the Wuzhen Homestay over the weekend. Its location inside the West Scenic Zone is its biggest advantage, making night excursions incredibly convenient. There's no need to rush for a shuttle bus out of the scenic area; you can enter and exit freely, and when you're tired, you can just head straight back to your room to rest. Even after 10 PM, I could still stroll on the bridge in my pajamas, enjoying the evening breeze and watching the lights of the riverbanks reflect on the water—an experience that would be hard to have if staying outside the scenic area. The room's hygiene was good, the bedding was clean and odorless, and facilities like the air conditioning and hot water all worked perfectly. The old wooden stairs made a slight creaking sound when walked on, which is typical of older houses and didn't detract from the overall living experience. The homestay is uniformly managed by the scenic area, not privately operated, and all staff are scenic area employees. The service is standardized and consistent; inquiries about routes, performance times, and other information were accurate, with no pushy recommendations. A hand-drawn map wasn't provided at check-in, but the front desk had official guide maps that were clearly marked. For breakfast, there were two set menus to choose from: noodles or wontons. Both were freshly cooked, hot, and substantial. Overall, staying within the scenic area was hassle-free and convenient, offering great freedom for night tours and a high degree of standardized service. I highly recommend it with five stars and would prioritize staying at a homestay within the scenic area again on future visits.

Staying at 'Building 69' B&B was a wonderful experience. First off, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and even helped carry my luggage up to my second-floor room. The room itself was spotless and odorless, with a lovely view of the lake and flowers outside the window. The wooden structure gave it an antique charm, and the soft carpet was great for cushioning and noise reduction, ensuring a very quiet and restful sleep. The elegant mosquito net added a dreamy, aesthetic touch. The location is super convenient, close to attractions like Qiao Li Qiao, Wenchang Pavilion, Bailian Pagoda, and the bar street. We were two adults and one child, and the breakfast, which was included, was substantial: a bowl of noodles, fried rice, and a fruit and pastry platter – more than enough for the three of us. The food at the B&B was also delicious! The scrambled eggs with tomatoes, Mapo tofu, and the stir-fried chicken with green peppers (a whole chicken!) were all fantastic and reasonably priced, no more expensive than outside the scenic area. Definitely no regrets with the food! Staying inside the Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area was a real perk. It allowed us to truly immerse ourselves and experience both the daytime and nighttime views, which offer completely different vibes and photo opportunities.
