A very Italian hotel, right next to the train station, with limited breakfast options and old equipment, it has a sense of history. If you have enough time, you can explore it.

Elegant environment, courteous staff, very convenient location: a stone's throw from the train station and close to the historic centre, which can be reached in five minutes on foot.

We stayed here in June 2024. The hotel is decorated with original furniture. Rooms feel very classical with long curtains and wall sconces. Beds were comfortable, ample closet space. We were happy to find a fridge and tea maker in the room. Our rooms were spacious with big bathrooms, although the room on the second floor had more daylight than the one on the first floor. One room had a big bathtub, which was nice, but the bathroom smelled a bit funky. Carpeting needs an update. Breakfast is good with many Italian cakes and pastries, like the local pasticiotto, as well as eggs, cold cuts and quiches on offer. The American coffee and juices offered taste bad but you have the option of ordering ‘Italian coffee’ , orange juice, etc with a waiter. During summer, breakfast can be enjoyed on a beautiful terrace adjacent to the pool area. There is also a vending machine with refreshments in the hallway next to the pool. Location is excellent, especially if you arrive by train.

It is difficult to say how bad this hotel is. It is certainly not a four star hotel as described on its website. Carpets in all the common areas are filthy, the garden is more like scrubland and the swimming pool looks as though it has not been used in a long time. The walls between the rooms were very thin so that we could hear another guest snoring most of the night and the bed was hard and lumpy. There was not a bar - despite one being advertised on the website - and no welcoming areas in which to sit. All the rooms on the ground floor are very dark. One final concern is the surly nature of all the staff - none of them seem to be happy in their jobs and seem unable to smile at any of the guests. We were booked to stay three nights but thankfully our travel company was able to find us somewhere else for the third night which was a 100% improvement. Would certainly not recommend the hotel as a good place to stay.

This is an older hotel, a little worn, but the location is fantastic, the staff are lovely, and the stay is a great value. It is less than a block from the train station and only a couple of blocks from the historic area, so it makes a great base for seeing Lecce and the surrounding areas. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely, old-style hotel with beautiful outdoor space, set in a quiet area. Position near station very helpful and within a short walk of historic centre. Room was very spacious and comfortable and breakfast good. Staff at desk and in breakfast room were very professional and friendly. Highly recommended!
