Venice on the Beach Hotel Reviews

A small hotel with nothing to recommend. The facilities are equivalent to the low-end version for 7 days.

I came to Venice for a 2 day visit at the beach for a birthday. Upon arrival in an alley with bums on the ground and corner we are creeped out. We walk in. No one is at the desk. It’s so quiet I feel like I should only whisper. It was about 8pm. I called a number after about 5 minutes of standing around. No one answered but a man came running downstairs from the break room he said. The gentleman was very sweet and friendly. He checked me in. I was told about a $100 deposit which I would get back and charged $40 I wouldn’t. I said ok but I didn’t know what the $40 was for. Later I realized it was parking but I didn’t get told anything or paper explaining that or charges. I go up to my room and I walk in and I’m just astounded. Looked nothing like the website. I mean nothing! After my 2 nights here is what I experienced. Bathroom window was broken , went up crooked, didn’t close all the way , screen was broken Bed 2 was breaking , headboard was leaning inward towards the head & when I got up night 2 i heard a spring pop. Shower doors are glass, off the track & just flapped from the bottom. Hard to open Furniture was peeling & coming apart Remote was so gross and dirty Lamp turned on & just kept flickering on/off, sparked a few times. I told a different guy at the desk cuz wires exposed. He said “I’ll leave a note. Maybe just turn it off” so no light or the very bright ceiling light. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever slept in by far. Under par

Parking was convenient and easy. Room was very clean and comfortable. Idillic location for the beach. Beautiful walk along the promenade. Very quiet.

We checked in on a very rainy day. The staff was cleaning in between groups coming and going. That said - the place smelled of bleach and mildew. I'm sure the place is much nicer on a sunny day where you can sit outside - but if it's not sunny - there is no where to hang out. The small rooms were clean.

Phenomenal neighborhood, super friendly staff. A little bit noisy outside in the morning. Thin walls! Overall super happy with our mid week stay

You cannot beat this location in terms of proximity to the beach. But the room is tiny (maybe 150 sq ft?) and kind of dingy - really needs to be updated badly. We arrived at 1030pm, and the doors were locked, there were no parking spaces available (and no on-street parking), and nobody answered the phone the first time I called, which was alarming. I called back, and someone answered and came to the door, and freed up a parking space (I somehow missed that this was an additional $20 per day??) by moving his car. He was very kind and helpful. The neighborhood didn't feel particularly safe to me at night. This strikes me as the kind of place college kids would love if they were going to the beach for a few days. But it was not at all what I expected.

The views from the room were amazing! The room and bathroom were a bit small but accommodating. I def plan to come back!

I booked an ocean view room and did not get that. I was just facing a house and the floor was dirty. I didn’t get no sleep because of people upstairs sounded like they were removing furniture all night and morning the bed was so hard you could feel the spring and the sofa couch was hard Once he tried to sit on felt like it was going to cave in if you’re looking for a comfortable stay I wouldn’t stay here. If you’re looking for a convenient location, then you found your place.

Room don’t have coffee maker I have to go second floor to warm water to have a coffee

Perfect place for a staycation with my wife. It was nice being right on the beach and walking on the walking path through the town. Out door lounge area was also great to sit and soak in the sun and people wat.

It was a very nice place to stay the rooms are small yet your only there to sleep. . Wish they would have had coffee pots. If you stay here make sure you pay for parking 20 a night they only have 8 spots. Nice views from the third floor.

We had a lovely stay! The location was ideal and the rooms are exactly what you need.

For the price, you can’t beat the location. Close to great bars and restaurants. Parking is fairly easy on the streets nearby. The rooms are extremely small—if you have more than one suitcase, there will be little room to maneuver. Shower was very nice.

Choosing this hotel was my biggest mistake. there wasn't any initial thing for accommodation, like tooth brush or sheets. the room was super small and we were disturbing by foot stamps of the others. in conclusion it doesn't worth it to stay even for 1 hour
