Heel erg goed hotel zowel geschikt voor de moderne zakenman als de toerist die Waregem aandoet. Mooie moderne kamers met alle nodige comfort. Gezien het hotel binnen het zakengedeelte van de stad ligt is de keuze van de kamer niet belangrijk. Het uitzicht is hoe dan ook niet de moeite. Super ontbijt echter .... In het weekend wordt het ook opengesteld voor mensen die niet in het hotel verblijven en die het dus zien als uitgebreide brunch. Dus soms is het rustig ontwaken bij een tas koffie en al dat lekkers er niet bij. Maar lekker blijft het wel. Dus, het jeugdig enthousiasme van de meegebrachte kinderen nemen we er dan maar bij.

The hotel is 30 meters away from the train station. This time I stayed in the South Building. Newly renovated, the room is big, much better than the North Building. The entrance to the North Building is the bed with 2 large boxes. Breakfast is good with salmon. But no vegetables, fruit .

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the main attractions, there are many tram stations nearby, and the commercial online stores are quite complete. The only dissatisfaction is: I booked a double room, and the result was a big bed. This was a bit embarrassing. In addition, the hotel actually had to charge an additional fee for luggage storage (there is a special luggage room). This is completely different from the domestic one. Breakfast is relatively simple, after eating once, I changed it to eat in the surrounding small shops.

Coming from Singapore for 5 days to visit my family and friends, I stayed at this hotel (even I was invited to sleep at my brothers or my mom homes), for the comfort ans it’s proximity to the center and all facilities. The hotel is very well situated, very clean, nicely decorated with pictures, old sewing machines and fabrics machines as the hotel is a conversion of an old fabrics factory. The bedroom was big, very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast has a large variety of delicious dishes, don’t miss the Belgian gaufres (waffles) and the abbey cheese. The hotel staff is very kind and professional. There is a car park and a place to park 1 or 2 tourists buses. There was no shampoo in the bathroom, but there are 4 hairdressers in the area that will make your shampoo and blow dry for 20 €. Just next to the hotel, enjoy a drink at one of the terrasses on the Grand-Place, eat a cake or a dessert at Pierre-Alain ( one of the best in the world) , eat Belgian specialities at La Cloche (rue de Tournai) , try the famous real French fries with mayonnaise and fricandelle (street food on the Grand-place) and buy local food on the market every Tuesday mornings.

Great location with free parking. Friendly, efficient staff and the room was clean and comfortable. Decent WiFi and TV had several English speaking channels. Only tiny quibble was the hairdryer which wouldn't have been able to blow out a candle (first world problems and not worth dropping a star!).

We waren met 8 personen, 4 volwassenen en 4 kinderen. Ik had gebeld op voorhand om te reserveren en we kregen de tafel in de veranda. Supergezellig om te zitten met zicht op de weides en velden en toch ook wat afgezonderd van de rest van de gasten. Het ontbijt was echt uitgebreid, vers geperst fruitsap, koffie, thee, yoghurt, actimel, chocomousse, pistolets, koffiekoeken, brood, confituur, choco, kaas, hesp, zalm, een eitje naar wens,.... De gastvrouw is super vriendelijk. Er was méér dan genoeg. Het heeft ons dan ook enorm gesmaakt. Een aanrader in de regio, prijs/kwaliteit perfect in orde!
