Loved3x my camping stay at Denmark Rivermouth. It's a very last minute trip during xmas period and I was glad I could find something to book! I was actually quite nervous because it's my first camping trip and I just bought my new tent, but I was very3x proud of myself cos I successfully built it all by myself so easily! 😊 It's also all made possible thanks to the soft and immaculate grass area which makes building the tent so easy. It's evident that the grounds are properly taken care of. It's green, it's shady and just peaceful despite it being very busy season (but note to self for next time: avoid corner sites as it tends to get noisier from cars coming in and out and ppl walking around the corner, esp in the morning). The campground is close to town, the staff were amazing and friendly, the river is absolutely beautiful, the facilities were clean and there's lots of activities you can do: join the river cruise, swim in the river, kayaking, fishing, SUP, paddle boat or you can even walk on the nearby heritage trail. There's 2 bathroom blocks...one older, one newer. I always just used the newer one and it's amazing! The shower pressure was strong with plenty of cubicles to choose and great hot water (the water gets hot very quickly with only a little turn so be careful not to burn yourself). What I also like about this campground was the 9pm curfew and it was actually enforced. It goes to show the staff really do care about everyone's having a good and quiet times at night. There's an on-site cafe. I didn't try the food, but their coffee was great. Some reviews commented about the expensive price for the powered sites, but I think it's reasonable considering the good quality of facilities we get in return. Unfortunately I missed the river cruise...but I will definitely come back again to camp and do the cruise. Great experience overall!
