Stayed for 4 days in the Green room of Manor Garden Lodge as a guest of Mark and Jan. We never met Jan but Mark had a warm greeting on arrival and led us through the house to the lodge at the bottom of the garden. The lodge is electrically heated and has a super comfy king size bed. The modern bathroom is well appointed with a walk in shower and good quality white towels. Be careful, the water is scalding hot in the sink. To hot to be honest to be safe. Mark supplies coffee, tea, milk and a pack of biscuits on a daily basis though he doesn't touch the bathroom or bed we found. On arrival the kettle didn't work, nor a beside light but these were soon remedied, shame the huge cobweb above the bathroom door stayed the whole week! Soundproofing is not the best between the two lodge rooms as we could hear next door speaking and the TV is definitely too high in the wall but still, it's a nice place to rest your head! Breakfast was great, cereal, toast, coffee, tea, juice, and a cooked choice all of high quality. Access to the room is down the side of the house which means no worries about disturbing people. Irby is well positioned for touring the Wirral and accessing the city via the £1.80 toll in the Kingsway tunnel.
