The environment is quite nice, but it's located near the amusement park. It would be perfect if it were closer to Mount Fuji, so I could see it directly from the room. However, you can still see Mount Fuji from the breakfast area on the fourth floor 🗻. Not knowing Japanese or English isn't an issue, as there are Chinese-speaking staff available. They even help bring your luggage directly to your hotel room after you arrive, so you can head out and enjoy yourself. Very satisfied!

I used to have a poor impression of Toyoko Inn, but this business trip staying at the foot of Mount Fuji completely changed my mind. First, the location is fantastic; you can see Mount Fuji right outside, and there's a free shuttle bus for getting around. Second, the rooms are incredibly neat and clean, and the amenities are even better than some four-star hotels. While the free breakfast isn't extravagant, it's clean and tidy. There's also free parking right outside and a large supermarket nearby. I'll definitely be back to this hotel next time I'm in Fuji for business.
Great hotel near Lake Kawaguchiko!. We really enjoyed it here, and the views from the room on Mont Fuji were great. The breakfast buffet is great with huge options. Key allergens are listed on each food which makes it helpful for lactose / gluten free / coeliac. The dinner was also buffet with huge options. You get a 90 minute slot for dinner, starting either 6PM - 7:30PM or 7:30PM - 9:00PM and all you can eat during that time. The onsen was superb and clean, really relaxing after a long day of hiking or exploring. The rooms are great too, very clean and comfortable. The only downside was the location - it’s about a 15/20 min walk from the main Kawaguchiko bus station, or a local connection bus for 5 mins, which isn’t bad. Outside of being a bit further away, it’s a fantastic hotel. I would definitely recommend!
The hotel boasts beautiful surroundings and spotlessly clean rooms. The unobstructed views of Mount Fuji from the window are absolutely stunning – truly unbeatable! They also offer bicycle rentals, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. It's very reasonably priced and offers excellent value for money. Both the owner and the staff are incredibly warm and hospitable. I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay, and I'll definitely be back!
This is a very elegant garden hotel with beautiful greenery and a fish pond where you can feed fish. The shuttle bus from the station is very convenient and close. There's also a beautiful large park lawn about two to three hundred meters away. The service is great. The downsides are that it's an older hotel, the rooms have a bit of an odor, breakfast is mediocre, and the hotel's laundry room isn't good.
Environment: This is one of several hotels located by Lake Kawaguchiko. You can take the Kawaguchiko bus and get off at Ubuka, then it's just a short walk away. This makes it really convenient for visiting the ropeway, enjoying the views, and dining.
Service: If you have a lot of people or a lot of luggage, I highly recommend using their shuttle service within the designated hours. Staff at the Kawaguchiko Tourist Center can help you call the hotel to arrange pick-up, which is very convenient. Room service and amenities are beyond excellent. We booked a stay with two meals (dinner and breakfast), and both dining experiences were incredibly attentive and detailed.
Facilities: The hotel has a large public bath for soaking, and the rooms also feature shower facilities with a wet/dry separation – everything you need.
It was our first time visiting Japan, and we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. However, since the bed wasn’t to our preference, we asked to move back to the same room category we originally booked. The room was still spacious and offered a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. The breakfast was excellent as well. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
it was just renew and reopened, the whole management and sense are quite morden and good. especially the kids play ground was great! and by the way the afternoon snack was also great! i definitely recommend my friend to visit here again.
The stay was awesome and the staff are very kind and helpful, providing very clear information to all the servives and activities we can do.
We were welcomed with complimentary snacks, drinks and even wine after check in. And there is also a complimentary ramen supper available, which feeds our empty stomach after a whole day. The coffee and hot chocolate is also availavle 24 hours complimentary.
There is also different onsen theme available, private and public which we had tried out all. Do note on some of the rules when using the onsen.
The breakfast is very good and tasty. We had our first Japanese style breakfast and tried the local Hotou and 纳豆 as well.
Location wise is slightly outskirts from the Fujikawaguchiko station but there is shuttle bus available for transfer. However, we drived but didn't had the chance to take the shuttle bus. Parking wise a lot of spaces available so that's not a worry.
Ultimately, the best of the best is the Mount Fuji voew from our balcony and there is also onsen available in the room.
Overall, we had a very good stay and would recommend for anyone who would like a good and comfortable stay. 5 star service.

Ssiufungjeh🌸 Hotel Mifujien – A Front Row Seat to Mt. Fuji’s Majesty
If you’re looking for unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji, look no further than Hotel Mifujien. Nestled right beside Lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel offers one of the most photogenic and soul-soothing panoramas of Japan’s most iconic peak.
🗻 The View: Absolutely Breathtaking
The highlight of our stay was the view — and it’s no exaggeration. Whether it’s early morning when the summit catches the first rays of sunlight, or during a serene sunset, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji reflected in Lake Kawaguchiko is simply unforgettable. I woke up early just to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise, and it was worth every second of lost sleep. We also filmed a sunset time-lapse, and again, Fuji didn’t disappoint.
⸻
🚶♂️ Getting There: Worth the Scenic Walk
Although the hotel offers a shuttle bus pickup service, we chose to walk from Kawaguchiko Station — and it was a delightful decision. The 20–30 minute stroll is scenic and peaceful. We even stopped by a local supermarket for some ice cream while enjoying views of Mt. Fuji in the background. It was an experience that made us feel like locals soaking in a perfect day.
⸻
🛏 Tatami Rooms: Authentic and Comfortable
The tatami-style room was clean, spacious, and gave us a deeply authentic Japanese lodging experience. Sliding doors, futon beds, and traditional touches made our stay both relaxing and culturally immersive.
⸻
♨️ Hot Springs: Cozy, Not Crowded
The hotel features both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs). While not particularly large, they are a nice bonus to unwind after a day of exploring. Since they only accommodate a few people at a time, it’s best to avoid peak hours.
⸻
🍱 Meals: Included and Delicious
Our stay included both breakfast and dinner, and the food was outstanding. A beautifully arranged kaiseki-style dinner showcased seasonal ingredients, fresh sashimi, grilled seafood, and hot pots. Breakfast was equally satisfying with a variety of small dishes and a perfectly cooked grilled fish. Everything was crafted with care and served with hospitality.
⸻
📝 Suggestions:
• Bring a tripod if you’re planning to do photography or time-lapses — the view is too good not to capture properly.
• Try both the indoor and outdoor onsen during quiet hours to fully enjoy the experience.
• Use the shuttle service if you’re carrying large luggage, as the walk (while scenic) do take around 30 minutes.
⸻
⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10
Hotel Mifujien is all about the view — and it delivers. Combine that with great meals, clean traditional rooms, and hot springs, and you have the perfect base to enjoy Mt. Fuji in all its glory.
KKuangkuangkelisiExtremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, and our private car dropped us right at the entrance. Although the hotel is a bit older, the facilities are very complete. Breakfast was incredibly rich, and the views are stunning – you can see Mount Fuji from the window if the weather permits. The hot springs are also great if you get the chance. Thanks to Trip.com for arranging this!
AAixiaodedashaguaiMost hotels around Mount Fuji are quite expensive, and the cheaper options often have less desirable locations. However, this one is reasonably priced with a great location, offering views of both Mount Fuji and the lake right from your room.
GGuest UserWe loved our stay! The hotel featured amazing views of Mt Fuji and was nestled right next to a forest, creating a very peaceful setting for a romantic weekend. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both of which were quite delicious! We also were able to try some new foods that we’d never have tried otherwise. The rooms were a good size with a modern bathroom and a more traditional bedroom area. The outdoor patio had a great soaking tub, which we enjoyed while looking at Mt. Fuji during sunset. The rooms also came equipped with traditional shoes and clothing, which was a very nice cultural touch. Lastly, I wanted to say that service was great and we loved Grace, who was so welcoming and who made the experience that much better.
KKOK POWMade a booking for 3 pax. On a tight budget but managed to find a hotel with onsen at kawaguchiko. Outside is just the red/green line bus stop 6, super convenient. Got a room that faces kawaguchiko at the highest floor. Tatami style was great, clean and strong AC. Especially loved the breakfast and dinner. Got the normal one instead of kaiseki, but it is the most memorable one we had.
GGuest UserIt is very nice hotel, good facilities, nice view, clean and good mind good service of reservations. They have break time for snack, tea, coffee and good breakfast buffet. There is confortable to walk from bus station around 1 km and near ropeway Kawaguchiko only 10 meters and also near Kawaguchiko Lake. You can have activities with your family such as pedaling duck boat, ride a bicycle.

Ttravel12🏨 the ryokan turned out to be much more beautiful than i expected from what i've seen on the pictures here
🗺️ the location is great, and even though we didn't get the room with the lake view, the view was still amazing. there's also a konbini and a few cafés right next to the ryokan, so it was very convenient
🕴️the staff was kind, it was easy to communicate in english
🧖♀️ didn't attend the onsen myself, but my friends told me they liked it
⭐️ taking one star off cause the shower-head was a bit broken and the room wasn't clean enough to my taste
GGuest UserThe scenery outside the hotel is very beautiful. There is a Family Mart next to it where you can buy food. The hotel dinner is highly recommended. The boss speaks Chinese and communication is very convenient. Although there is no hotel connection, it is very suitable for self-driving tours. You can park in front of the hotel
NNaqueyaFor some reason I was not sent a QR Code to my email to check in. I was sent a pin number which was not necessary or utilized. We arrived at the villa several hours early and called to see if we could check in early, they apparently have a strict after 3pm check-in. We found a place and paid to store our luggage and then came back to the villa at 3pm. Again, still had not received the QR Code. Called again, was hung up on. Called back, was told it would take 10 minutes. Called back and was asked for my email, was put on hold then was asked for my email again (which was already provided at booking).
Then was asked to send them an email, they didn't get it and then was asked to send to personal icloud email. They finally found my email and sent the QR Code to me at close to 4pm which was an hour after check-in and we had to stand out in the sun the entire time. This was so frustrating and ridiculous. My email address was in the reservation, why it took so long is crazy. The process needs to be updated so this doesn't happen to other people.
There was a huge spider above the TV in the corner, we got rid of it but it was creepy.
The view from the villa was great!
The beds were nice!
Loved the double showers! The body sponges are so clever and left our skin feeling smoothe!
The clothes drying was very innovative and did work effectively, needed to turn the heater on twice to get the clothes dry.
Towel rack on the wall was broken on the right side, the rod wouldn't stay in.
The one pot in the kitchen was burnt on the bottom inside, we tried to clean it to use it but could not. We did use the grill to make dinner and it was a wonderful touch!
