Charm of Yunnan - Tongle Village

Highlight - Tongle Village of Yezhi Town in Weixi County, Diqing is arguably one of the most fascinating ethnic villages in Yunnan. It is a traditional village inhabited by people of the Lisu ethnic group and it has a history of nearly 300 years. The Lisus commonly refer to the traditional style of dwelling in their village as the “muleng house” - they are made from logs and wood planks, without using nails. My Personal Experience - When I visited there, I was warmly greeted by local villagers and some of them even invited me to drink tea at their homes. I ended up staying overnight at a local woman’s place and shared some wonderful time with her and her family.
