Lake LaoLiKe, accidentally stepping into a snowy fairy tale world

At first, when planning the trip, I was hesitating between going to Snow Ridge or Lake LaoLiKe, but in the end, I decided to visit the more primitive Lake LaoLiKe. Transportation🚗 I chose to hire a private car, traveling from Yanji to Lake LaoLiKe and finally to Changbai Mountain, which allowed me to freely arrange my time🤗 Clothing and Equipment🧥 1⃣️ Tops: Thermal long-sleeve shirt made of German velvet + down vest + sweater + 400g long down jacket 2⃣️ Bottoms: 880g knee-padded cotton pants + down pants 3⃣️ Other parts: Red gloves and scarf in one + earmuffs + ski gloves + cashmere socks + over-the-knee wool socks + fleece-lined boots 4⃣️ Placement of heat packs: One heat pack each on the stomach + lower back + back + instep + sole of the foot + inside the gloves (I really recommend this for gloves, because sometimes when taking photos, the gloves aren't sensitive enough, and taking your hands out for just a few seconds can be unbearably cold, but tucking them back into the warm gloves really brings them back to life) + pocket for holding a cellphone ❄️Fun There's not much to do at Lake LaoLiKe, the main attraction is experiencing the snowscape of the primitive forest. We were also very lucky to have just encountered a snowfall, with trees all covered in snow, which was incredibly beautiful. So, as long as you go with the mindset of enjoying the snow, you'll actually have a lot of fun! 1⃣️ Tickets (cheaper if bought through the driver) + round-trip snowmobile + horse-drawn sled, the cost is indeed quite high, totaling around 500, and in the end, we also rented shoes for 50 yuan (if you're not specifically going to step in very thick snow, you can avoid renting, so that the inside of the shoes won't get wet) 2⃣️ Snowmobile: There are two routes, from the station to the depths of Lake LaoLiKe or from the service station to the depths of Lake LaoLiKe, quite thrilling but really cold on the head, I spent the whole time hugging my head and hiding behind the driver. 3⃣️ Horse-drawn sled: From the service station to the station, initially, I read in the guides that many people recommended walking for about 40 minutes, but it was too cold that day, so in the end, we decided to take the horse-drawn sled. Sitting in the cart behind the horse and taking in the scenery really felt like being in a fairy tale world, I was amazed the whole way❗️ 4⃣️ Station: It's quite small inside, and if you want to get close to the reindeer, you need to buy reindeer feed, 20 yuan a box, and the reindeer are all corralled within a certain area (and it's a bit crowded with people) 5⃣️ The depths of Lake LaoLiKe: In the areas without trees blocking, the wind is huge, and there's an activity on the lake surface, sitting on a tire while a vehicle pulls us around the lake, quite novel, but very suitable for a snowball fight! We played for over three hours in total, had a super fun time, because I had never seen such thick snow before. If you are from the south and have never experienced this, don't hesitate, Lake LaoLiKe after a snowfall is really worth it!
