Dayan Ancient Town of Lijiang

Lijiang Ancient Town actually includes Dayan Town, Shuhe Ancient Town, and Baisha Ancient Town. Dayan Town was established at the end of the Song Dynasty and the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty. The streets in the ancient town are built along the mountains and waters, paved with red angular conglomerate, featuring Sifang Street, Mu Mansion, Wufeng Tower, Black Dragon Pool, Wenchang Palace, Snow Mountain Academy, and Baima Longtan Temple, among other famous historical sites; Dayan Ancient Town of Lijiang is one of the second batch of China's historical and cultural cities to be approved, and it is one of the two ancient cities that have successfully applied for World Cultural Heritage as a whole city in China, the other being Pingyao;
