The Royalty of Spain!

#celebratewithtrip Yes, Spain still has a royal family! It is one of the few remaining nations in the world with a constitutional monarchy. On my recent visit to Spain, I dedicated a beautiful afternoon to the Royal Palace of Madrid. The palace was built in 1751. Across its large estate of over 135,000m2 of floor space, it also features 3,418 stunning rooms! There are many things to see and do at the royal palace. For starters, I highly suggest seeing the Painting Gallery, The Royal Armoury, The Royal Kitchen (it boasts the oldest and most well preserved Royal Kitchen of any European royal residence!). Similar to other European royal residences, it also attracts crowds to its Changing of the Guards. For awesome instagram worthy pictures, check out the observation deck which offers fantastic views of the breathtaking gardens. Admission: Free admission of EU citizens, varying ticket prices for different access packages The palace is open to visitors all year round, though I recommend visiting in Fall or Summer!
