Senagajima Island Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
This is 'Little Santorini', a must-visit place in Okinawa
Senaga Island, a perfect secret corner to escape from reality.
The nearest check-in spot from Okinawa Airport...
Take the TK02 directly from the No.1 bus stop at the airport, and it's not far from the international street by taxi.
The scattered white buildings are like Little Santorini, which actually has nothing to do with the island. There are many popular shops such as 🇯🇵 Lucky Pancake 🥞
It's so crowded that I didn't get to eat.
Find a place to have afternoon tea casually, the view is very good.
🍦Ice cream + waffle 🧇
When the sea breeze blows gently, the heart becomes calm with the waves. 🌊🌅✨
A great spot to watch big planes ✈️, spend a leisurely and lazy afternoon

Mango 🥭 shake to beat the heat! 🌞
one of the refreshments places please visit.

Stop at Umikaji Terrace Before Your Flight
Senagajima Umikaji Terrace is a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport. This is an island resort that was born on a sloping land bordering the west coast of Senagajima Island in 2015.
Enter into a maze of white walls covered in vegetation with a magnificent view of the Okinawan beach, and even airplanes as they land at Naha airport.
If you loved the beaches here and know you’re gonna miss it——don’t worry, you can still enjoy them here! The beach in front of Umikaji terrace offers just as much corals, creatures, and seashells as the other places you might have visited during your trip.
There’s more than plenty of food here: you can dine mainly on local fruits, vegetables, and seafood, and you can also enjoy shopping for Okinawan accessories and clothes.
This makes it the perfect spot to enjoy the last—or beginning—of your Okinawa trip.
There are more than 40 restaurants and merchandise shops. Business hours are 10: 00-22: 00 except for some stores.

Dinosaur BBQ Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Dinosaur BBQ Park
#okinawatrip Made reservations ahead of time expecting it to be busy on a Saturday. However, we’re “early risers” so there was only one other family when we arrived. Now that we’ve visited, it’s a little less confusing and we know what we will and won’t do next time as there are activities that cost additional outside of the entrance fee. The dinosaurs were our least favorite part. The inflatable maze wasn’t bad, I’m just too old (and out of shape) to be chasing my 5 year old around. And since it rained 2 days ago, there were still spots in the ball pit that were wet. Since she is under the age of 7, an adult had to be with her in the maze (additional 💴1000 for the both of us). Our favorite part was the indoor portion with all the bright lights and music. And the staff member who was in there today was so very nice and helpful. She assisted with making cotton candy and offered to take pictures of my daughter and I. The bathroom we used was also very clean. Will return, but will most likely skip all the outdoor activities and opt for the indoor portion. We may also eat while we are there depending on the price. There was nobody eating there today so I’m not sure if it was even open.
Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Ryukyu Onsen Senagajima Hotel
We chose the room type where you can soak in the hot springs. The scenery outside the window is the sea view of the plane landing. You can see it during the day and at night. The feeling is different. The lights flickering from the plane is very beautiful at night. When the plane is about to land, you will hear the rumbling sound. You can seize the opportunity to see the plane landing. The windows in the room have two layers, so close the windows when you sleep at night. It is very powerful that you will not hear the sound from the outside at all.
The sleeping space is super large. The housekeeper even wrote a happy birthday card on the bed and sprinkled some flower petals. We slept very soundly for two nights, as the soundproofing is really very good.
Breakfast is a Japanese-style lunch box. There are three floors. There are hot food and cold food, including sashimi. Some people say that the portion is not enough, but I think that if you are not picky eaters, you will be full.
Another convenient advantage is that it takes only 5 minutes to walk down from the hotel to the Happy Muffin. We went there twice and avoided the queuing tide. There is also a bus at the door that can go to the outlet. It takes about 15 minutes to arrive. The traffic is very convenient , the return trip by taxi is about 1600 yen, if you lose too much, you can consider playing
