The Historical City of York

The Romans called it Eboracum. The Vikings named it Yorvick. Today it’s known as York. I walked along the Roman walls, marveled at the medieval cathedral and soaked in the Viking legacy. Be sure to check out The Shambles, an area which inspired JK Rowling’s Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter books. The food market in the middle serves delicious international street food. #christmastrip
